I'm going through this right now but I think my CAN issues are SRS related. About to replace the driver side seatbelt buckle and see if it does the trick. These cars are super sensitive. Quick tip for folks having similar communication issues: if you're able to get your ECM, ETC, ESP, and SCR modules back online on your scanner (they will come and go as they please), try turning your key slowly and see if the car will start. If you turn the key fast it won't communicate... if you turn it slowly (1, wait; 2, wait; then 3), it might start. I have also seen a case where if you turn on the headlights you might be able to start the car. These cars are super weird when they have communication issues.
@@mauromaceda6510 hey there! You can get negative anywhere on the car that goes to ground! There’s several ground points on the vehicle and near the CAN strip. Best advice, run your negative lead to the ground side of the battery
@@mauromaceda6510 you can get ground on the passenger seat track. Move the seat back and you'll see a metal bolt on the front of the track holding it down to the floor. Best ground if you're working on those distributors in the passenger footwell area.
@@philh9238 every car is different the way they fail. I think their one of the easier ones. But even I learned something on this one! BMWs are interesting though!!
