I've been watching your reviews consistently for so long now and I still never get over how insanely beautiful you are inside and out. You're one of my fav humans.
I LOVED this foundation. A couple things for everyone as told by sephora employees, use a brush, the coverage will sheer out a little with a sponge. It DOES oxidize. Pick a shade a tiny bit lighter than you normally would. My experience with it was it was super super full coverage, blended super easy, made it through a morning work out in the heat unscathed, and I couldn't feel it on my face AT ALL. So much so that I forgot I was wearing makeup (don't wear it too much during the summer), and kept rubbing at My face, which did cause some blotchyness, but that's expected. It's just soooo good.
Haiden Marie unfortunately the fact that it oxidizes so bad means some people can't wear it at all. I went to Sephora to see which shade matched me, I swatched the two lightest shades on my wrist, and both oxidized too dark/orange for my skin in 10 mins. So I ended up walking out with the Fenty Beauty foundation. UD needs to fix the oxidizing problem, because I wanted so badly to get that foundation. But I didn't want to look like an oompa loompa 10 mins after using it 🤷🏻♀️.
Cassie, this is like 10 hours too late, but every time I see you put up a new video I feel a lot better. Your face is like a comforting reminder that there's people like you out there, and I always feel better knowing there's people who also get some lil pimples and who have "crusty bits" healing because shit happens. I sometimes have crusty bits and bumps I wanna cover up too and you being such a nice person, a kinda person that says"mmeh" and call your cat your furry baby, who acknowledges those things and shrugs them off saying sometimes there's not much you can do about it, helps me breathe a little better. Like yeah it is there and it's okay! It'll be gone soon enough, there's powder to help it not be noticeable. This might be strange but I really appreciate that after all the stress break outs I've had in this last year.
I don't know if this is helpful, but - I never had good luck with full coverage foundation till I started "shaving" my face - removing the peach fuzz and flaky skin with a fine blade (I use an eyebrow razor). They sit so much nicer and last longer. Just an anecdote :)
+Lucy Kowalski there's a small blade made to shape/shave eyebrows that lots of people use and prefer. I'm not sure what it's called 😕 try looking up videos here on TH-cam...there's so many. 👍
Do you use shaving cream or soap? Lately I've been thinking about giving this a try but I don't know anyone who does this and need more info before I start shaving away. lol

cassie if i had any recommendations for you watching this video it would be: 1. dont touch your face as often with your fingers. 2. dont dab concealer right into pimples and scabs from the applicator. doing this is just spreading bacteria for when you go to use the applicator next time. 3. consider blending out concealer dots with a sponge instead of your finger. your hands are oily and thats just going to trap dirt and oil in the makeup over an already irratated spot and itll stay there all day. love your videos. just a word of advice because i know you struggle with face demons. :) thank you for the review!
I purchased the all nighter over the wknd. I fell in love! I know it's had mixed reviews and it's not for everybody. It does work beautifully with the UD prep spray and all nighter setting spray. I wore it on my girls night out. It was a packed bar with broken A/C. I sweated all night, like drenched in sweat and this foundation didn't move at all. It was pretty awesome!!!
I love how considerate and non-wasteful you are, because I thought I was the only one who hates returning things. But then I'm also too anxious to approach an employee and ask for samples, so life gets hard haha.
I remember there was some person who commented on how they didn't like you using samples and I was explaining to her what you just said (without knowing your intentions for using samples). and I think it's lovely. why be wasteful when you can sample the product using a (gasp!) sample.
Thrift Thick I do the same thing!! It makes me feel bad sometimes because all I do is go and get samples (no foundations have worked for me this far....the colour is always off) but I just don't see the point in constantly buying and returning. :)
***** exactly!! It's a lot less wasteful too. When you return a used product, they can't sell it anymore. Maybe it will become a sample but if not it's thrown away...not to mention you are taking it away from a potential buyer! ***** so silly! Waste of time and money. Grabbing 2 or 3 samples is so much more efficient and considerate.

Same here. I've always noticed that my male cats are much more chill and affectionate. The female cats were all hormonal and only wanted affection sometimes.
If your female male cats will tend to be more affectionate towards you, if you're male, female cats will tend to be more affectionate towards you. This has always been my experience anyway, have had cats just about my whole life 😸
Aw I've got two cats, brother and sister. Both are very affectionate but the female cat will come and seek me out and wants to be around me all the time 🤗🤗

I always skip over the reading on the website. I don't know why but I honestly could care less about what a company claims is going to happen with the foundation, I want to see what it really does.
I skip over it too because I don't care, but I thunk it's really awesome she goes into so much detail. not only is she checking to make sure she applies it right (so she doesn't draw a false conclusion) but I think it's important to know what the product says it's going to do,so that you can actually see if it does what it says.
i know you are right, but on the other hand i defiantly wana know exactly what the company has to say about the product. its sorta gives a more detailed description. and it makes for a better and more thorough review. then you can make your own descision on wheather or not you agree with the company's claims. you feel me!?..😄

Congratulations to the new addition to your family! I look forward to seeing Figaro in your videos and snaps! unfortunately thats kinda how it goes when youve got super oily skin...especially during the summer. ive got super oily, acne prone skin like her and finding shit that lasts more then a couple hours is like...impossible.
+Ariana The Timelord exactly. I have superrr oily skin and no matter what, high end or drugstore, my foundation breaks up around my nose. Although I know there's pretty much no way to avoid it I still keep trying other ones hoping to find an HG.
she seems to wear the Estee Lauder double wear in a lot of videos (it's in her product descriptions) so I'm guessing it's one of her favourites/the least problematic for her

I know you love your Guerlain primer, but I was curious as to why you don't use a mattifying primer. I'm not saying you should or need to, it's your face so you can totally wear whatever you please, I'm just asking because I'm a makeup artist and would like to understand your choice. ❤️
no worries, you weren't offensive or anything haha! All of the mattifying primers that I've tried have either been really heavy and/or break me out, that's all :)

I totally agree with what you said about getting samples before actually purchasing the foundation. It's just a pain in the ass to return stuff honestly...
I bought this and it is going back. It was not long lasting as I figured it'd be unfortunately. I have combination skin and used a primer with plus a make up setting spray and by noon I had to touch up with powder. I never had that issue w/EL. It did look nice on my skin and felt very light but I wish it had better staying power.

Hi I know I'm not Cassie but, I think the porefessional is kind of greasy (I'm normal-dry skin) and made me oily by the end of the day so I wouldn't suggest it for oily skin or any at all.

Thank you so much for this. I just purchased Double Wear by Estée Lauder and I am in love with it. I thought that this may be TOO much coverage for daily wear but thought I'd do my research to see and this seals it for me to stay with Estée. I also have oily skin and large pores so this would not work. It oxidizing is also a deal breaker. I love how detailed and honest you are with these.

Well considering my schedule is I wake up around 11-12 and don't get to bed until 3 am (not a smart thing I admit) and I'm a bit younger then her (with me being around 20/21) so it's probably sleep schedule. When you don't HAVE to get up at 9 in the morning you kind of just adjust to whatever your brain and body feel is right.
Cassie! That's how we got our dog, Luke! The one I went to get just had no interest at all. But this little black and white fluffball was so friendly and licky and cute! Change of plans and he couldn't fit in with us any more perfectly! He pops into my videos from time to time too...always around me! You will love that kitty!!
+Thrift Thick (Cassie) Best reply, Cassie. 😍 In Germany they quite cleverly call it a "Schutzgebühr" when you get a cat from the shelter. (That would be a protective fee, for anyone who hasn't studied in Germany. ;o) It's supposed to protect the animals from people coming in, taking seven of them with them and then just making them into dinner. Also I guess it's supposed to convey a sense of responsibility.
Rescue shelters charge you fees. When animals come in the are given shots, dewormed, given flee baths, groomed if needed and any other medical attention or care they need. Those fees cover that.
I think it's important when picking a shade with this stuff to try it on and wear it around first - it will dry darker than when you first try it! I have 0.5 and it's great on me, but it looks very white when you first try it. It actually dries down and looks much darker later on. I think if you take that in consideration you'll be much happier with this foundation - as long as you aren't super dry, or super oily - I think this one is good for fairly normal skin. I'm combo and really liking it so far.

If I may give a simple little tid bit on applying your foundation, I think you would get even more coverage if you were to dab or stipple the foundation on instead of swiping it on with your brush. yeah I adopted a kitty from shelter assuming he would least be `10 weeks old. nope 5 weeks!!!!! that means no sleep having to teach him everythimg that mama didn't teach. how do I teach him to clean his booty..lol

I can't with these anymore lol you literally rub the foundation on,blend it out to the point of where ur scabs show,then sheer it even more with the Beauty blender.. you need to pat it on & blend,use concealer,powder it on,and bake your under eyes... you literally have nothing compared to my skin & cant manage to use a full coverage concealer?? Oml you need lots of help with makeup,no one tells u to be hateful,we try to help.

I just adopt him, he is so sweet and he was my first cat ever, now I can't live without him 😻😻😻
I swatched 0.5 and 1.0 in-store (0.5 is closer to my nc10 skin in lightness, 1.0 in undertone) and the second I went to spread the foundations, they oxidized to an impossible orange hue. Not good for ppp's. But coverage is absolutely insane. Very impressed by that. Hoping they may reformulate since so many people have been complaining about oxidation.

I experienced the same with the blotting paper and I thought that maybe it's my fault, that I did something wrong, but now after seeing your review I know it is not! YES! I also noticed my moisturizers absorb SO much better when my face is shaved.

Thrift Thick I do the same thing!! It makes me feel bad sometimes because all I do is go and get samples (no foundations have worked for me this far....the colour is always off) but I just don't see the point in constantly buying and returning.

I always skip over the reading on the website. I don't know why but I honestly could care less about what a company claims is going to happen with the foundation, I want to see what it really does.
I skip over it too because I don't care, but I thunk it's really awesome she goes into so much detail. not only is she checking to make sure she applies it right (so she doesn't draw a false conclusion) but I think it's important to know what the product says it's going to do,so that you can actually see if it does what it says.
It's quite good to know what the company claims the foundation will do though. Then you know if the product was true to what it was advertised as. :)

unfortunately thats kinda how it goes when youve got super oily skin...especially during the summer. ive got super oily, acne prone skin like her and finding shit that lasts more then a couple hours is like...impossible.

I know you love your Guerlain primer, but I was curious as to why you don't use a mattifying primer. I'm not saying you should or need to, it's your face so you can totally wear whatever you please, I'm just asking because I'm a makeup artist and would like to understand your choice. ❤️
no worries, you weren't offensive or anything haha! All of the mattifying primers that I've tried have either been really heavy and/or break me out, that's all :)

Try using a brush to buff it in and then patting it in with a sponge, for most foundations it'll give you a perfect airbrushed finished

I bought this and it is going back. It was not long lasting as I figured it'd be unfortunately. I have combination skin and used a primer with plus a make up setting spray and by noon I had to touch up with powder. I never had that issue w/EL. It did look nice on my skin and felt very light but I wish it had better staying power.

You can try the sample size it's like $15 and if you don't like it I think you can return it.
Hi I know I'm not Cassie but, I think the porefessional is kind of greasy (I'm normal-dry skin) and made me oily by the end of the day so I wouldn't suggest it for oily skin or any at all.

Thank you so much for this. I just purchased Double Wear by Estée Lauder and I am in love with it. I thought that this may be TOO much coverage for daily wear but thought I'd do my research to see and this seals it for me to stay with Estée. I also have oily skin and large pores so this would not work. It oxidizing is also a deal breaker. I love how detailed and honest you are with these.

Well considering my schedule is I wake up around 11-12 and don't get to bed until 3 am (not a smart thing I admit) and I'm a bit younger then her (with me being around 20/21) so it's probably sleep schedule. When you don't HAVE to get up at 9 in the morning you kind of just adjust to whatever your brain and body feel is right.
nah, it's summer so I don't usually go to bed until somewhere in between 3 and 6 am. 😂

(That would be a protective fee, for anyone who hasn't studied in Germany. ;o) It's supposed to protect the animals from people coming in, taking seven of them with them and then just making them into dinner. Also I guess it's supposed to convey a sense of responsibility.

Rescue shelters charge you fees. When animals come in the are given shots, dewormed, given flee baths, groomed if needed and any other medical attention or care they need. Those fees cover that.

I think it's important when picking a shade with this stuff to try it on and wear it around first - it will dry darker than when you first try it! I have 0.5 and it's great on me, but it looks very white when you first try it. It actually dries down and looks much darker later on. I think if you take that in consideration you'll be much happier with this foundation - as long as you aren't super dry, or super oily - I think this one is good for fairly normal skin. I'm combo and really liking it so far.
3.25 seems very dark when you are pale.

If I may give a simple little tid bit on applying your foundation, I think you would get even more coverage if you were to dab or stipple the foundation on instead of swiping it on with your brush. I can't with these anymore lol you literally rub the foundation on,blend it out to the point of where ur scabs show,then sheer it even more with the Beauty blender.. you need to pat it on & blend,use concealer,powder it on,and bake your under eyes... you literally have nothing compared to my skin & cant manage to use a full coverage concealer?? Oml you need lots of help with makeup,no one tells u to be hateful,we try to help.

I just adopt him, he is so sweet and he was my first cat ever, now I can't live without him 😻😻😻
I swatched 0.5 and 1.0 in-store (0.5 is closer to my nc10 skin in lightness, 1.0 in undertone) and the second I went to spread the foundations, they oxidized to an impossible orange hue. Not good for ppp's. But coverage is absolutely insane. Very impressed by that. Hoping they may reformulate since so many people have been complaining about oxidation.
