my favourite TH-cam story, tu for the effort that goes into sharing and the inspiration you give. I appreciate the pace of the videos, publishing when you have something to show not just for the algorithm
That tops my list of comments, thank you! I always feel guilty for not putting enough content out, and and the same time I want to make sure it’s not TH-cam click bait…
Very nice Christmas gift for us car geeks. I hope you don't make other decisions that adds another year to your build. Can't wait to see it driving on road 155.
Amazing work!! The attention to detail is off the charts. I truely think this will be the best designed modern 964 track car in existence. Porsche themselves would have cut so many corners on the build. Keep the content coming.
As an aircraft maintenance technician and 964 owner myself, your attention to detail makes me extremely proud. All these methods you're using are the standards in aviation as well. I thoroughly enjoy your content.
I wish you uploaded more often! There is so much to learn in modernizing these amazing cars, I wanna know it all. I also love the way you integrate 3D printing in these various solutions for your build, really inspiring. keep it up!
Found your Chanel when I was researching nexus v motec. After seeing your attention to EVERY detail, I became a subscriber Merry Christmas from Sydney Australia
Yet again a really inspiring video 👍 It's a really interesting concept to build something for the sake of learning and exactly what I'm going to be doing come the New Year. Waiting patiently for the next episode 🤓
I literally thought earlier today that I wonder how you are going to tune the car. LOL! Nice to see you back :) When I used to install car alarms many years ago, we used a simple trick for this sort of thing. We would take all of the wires we wanted to bundle, and twist them together with a cordless drill. You just stick them all in the chuck, then the other end goes in a vice. Put some tension on it, and slowly twist it with the drill. Comes out pretty good. Easiest with two people. Once it's done you can untwist just what you need at either end. Would be limited by the chuck size on your drill, and you need to have different colored wire for each item so you can tell which is which at the other end easily, or you have some time on your hands toning it out.
@@islandworks It's critical that all of the wires have the same tension on them when you start. That's why you really need two people. One person holds tension on the drill, while the other straightens all the wires and gets them equally tensioned before they go into the vice. Once you have that, it sort of naturally sorts itself out. We never really went past about 20 or so wires, because that was typically all you needed for all of your sensors, etc. We also were not super concerned about an odd variation in the twist pattern because everything we did was going to end up concealed anyway. Our main reason for doing it was just to ease the task of pulling a lot of wires through tight spots in the car interior. That said, it was pretty remarkable how good you could get things to look, and especially if you are just going to end up covering it with heat shrink, it would absolutely look fine IMHO.
Fantastisk arbeid du har lagt ned i din bil👍can you please come to bergen and do my wiring harness on my 924 carrera gt replika?😅 (same club as Roger Myrhe)
Are the fillers really needed? For beauty I understand, also maybe fixing the harness if one or two cables would break in, the fillers could be used as in replace. But I can’t see cable being both lighter, bendier and cheaper to do without the extra unused wires added.
Good point! What happens if a layer is not complete is that is distorts while bending the bundle. When it’s complete you ensure all stays perfectly in place

There’s a pretty good stretch on the 155 so it’s going to be a good place! Merry Christmas to you!

Content will keep coming! Thanks for your kind words!

Maybe my next project should be something in the air? Porsche did actually sell their air cooled engines to a small propeller plane at one point!
cant wait to see this diamond flying around Gotland Ring!!!!
Kommer bli en dröm!
Always a pleasure to receive one of your Porsche updates 😀 Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas 🎅🏼
Absolutely love the attention to detail. You are doing the 964 engineers proud.
I would love to meet one of them one day!
Feels like Christmas 🎅
Hohoho
Amazing. This will be the best modern 964 on the planet! Singer eat your heart out.
A modern classic!
I can feel your pain about what you said about +1year to the build for wiring. My Nexus R5 3-rotor FC total re-wire quest made me a man
It’s not for the faint of heart to make a whole system from bottom up!
Best build!! I thought in the end it will be first start 😅
I would love to push the button and see what happens! …but I guess it will last longer if I finish the oil pipes first

With some new found time, I hope to get next episode done with less delay! Thanks for watching!
I love this build and these videos. When I see one is released I have to watch it as soon as possible.
It’s fun making them!
My favorite build going right meow
Thanks!
Fantastic work and attention to detail
It’s all in the details!
@@islandworks So says the Devil 🤣🤣🤣🤣
love this build, have watched every episode.. how you only have 12k subs Is a mystery to me... (god jul btw)
Still a mystery also for me 🔎🕵️♂️
Amazing series! Love how in depth u go with everything so we can learn along!
Thanks! We keep on learning
Amazing nice progress on the 964!! God Jul
God hjul!
En fin liten overraskelse på julaften. Takk.
God hjul!

It’s a real labor of love! Just need to find some more time!
@@islandworksStopping yourself from rushing will yield the best results. I love the detail and thought that has gone into this build
Hahah love it how old Pa is helping pressing the pedal. Nice work and great video
He’s very useful also behind the camera!
@@islandworks Nice, well give him a good hug on Christmas ok
@ that’s essential!
Fan va grym du är!! God Jul🎅
Tackar och god jul!
Small hair clips are a good alternative to cable ties for harness construction. Pinch and move them around pretty quickly
I’ll be sure to try that next time!
Bra jobbat, God Jul Jonas✌️

I’ve not tried it other than for smaller twisted pairs. How do you get it event doing that?

Was that your father? Reminds me of my car time with my dad.

Nasa level stuff. mkt imponerande
Snart är vi på Mars!
Experts will correct me, your twist is to tight other than that great job! God hjul!!!
It turned out the right flex in the end, but I’m still novice :-)
Lets see this thing hit the Dyno! So whats the plan for the next project? :)
I’m still thinking! Any ideas are welcome!
