I'm just curious if anyone can answer my question. But I've played this song over 1 000 times and I'm wondering is this one of those songs you have to get every single note right and clear or it won't sound right at all? Anyways nice playing Tim T.E Jr
Hi John! In my experience slower songs are more fragile and can take less when it comes to muted or missed notes. So yes, a song with a slower pace (like this one) is more delicate to get exactly right. And top of that, everyone knows this one so everyone also recognizes the mistakes you make. But no worries, with practice (and lots of patience) you'll get there!
Fantastic video. Learnt the first 2 verses and chorus from the tabs alone and I think this video would have save me lots of time! :) Also, the cleanliness of your desk is an inspiration to all of us.

I got my start in fingerstyle guitar from him through his Guitar Techniques column. Angel is indeed a lovely song, but I'm not that adept at alternate tunings. But I'll add it to the list of songs to consider for the future!

Thank you, but in the intro I have no idea how to play 5-x-x-2-3-x without muting all the strings with my pinky. Let alone hammer onto the 4th fret right after. Is this even possible without big hands? I feel like I'm doing a crazy stretch and I still can't get it :(
That chord isn't easy, but it is not considered a "stretch" either since you are keeping to "one finger per fret". Make sure your thumb is sitting behind the neck (not on top) somewhere behind your middle finger, and that your wrist is arched down low. That should make it sound out clear!
