@SliderFury1 it's a 1500, I expect that. I have a 1 ton, and if I ever went down to a 1500, I wouldn't expect much other than a great ride and good MPG.

Looking to upgrade to a 5th wheel from a travel trailer. Have you ever done an episode about the differences between a 5th wheel hook up compared to a goose neck connection? If so, could you let me know the episode. Love your channel and have learned a ton!!!
I have a 2021 RAM with the eTorque and I will say with the tow package 392 rear end it really likes to be a little like jumpy off the line it's just because the truck wants to go and it wants to pull something I can deal with it being a little happy. The ride is second to none it really is like driving a car except you have all the benefits of a truck. I enjoy taking long road trips in the truck much more than in a car.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say the want the Ram eco diesel back!
It was peppy, reliable, and got amazing fuel economy..... What most 1/2ton truck owners are shopping for.
I'll say it, I want the ED back. The last trip I took, 2,600 miles, my average MPG was 32.6. When it comes time to replace my 2022 I hope I will have a diesel option with one of the three.

@@InLineDiesel6vehicles made within the last 5 years are not within in my budget, but did the reliability of the EcoDiesel improve in the later years of its life? One of my friends dads had a 2015 or 16 that needed a complete engine replacement 3 times before he gave up and retired it to his personal vehicle graveyard.
The eco diesel should still be an option.

I miss my 2019 1500 Limited but I can't spend $80k for the 2025 version. With the rebates and discounts I only financed $45K for my 2019.
The fuel economy comparison of gas vs diesel is a little misleading, in most olaces diesel is still more expensive than everything but premium gas, so you almost have to do a ¢/mile calculation to compare the two evenly. And considering the upcharge for the diesel engine options, well, you could buy a whole lot of gas for a slightly less efficient truck for that money. I love my diesel equipment, but with my last truck, i realized it would take a whole lot of miles for the diesels efficiency to pay for itself in a rig that i didnt 100% need the extra towing power on.
Throttle is fly by wire. No cable. Acceleration from stop will be touchy, normal.
I have the 2019, love the truck. I am looking to possible upgrade for the fuel economy.

I wish you could get the limited without the air suspension. The coils ride pretty dang good, just don't want the expense of the air ride repairs once the truck is 8-10 years old.

What diff ratio was in this truck?
I'm stuck deciding between 3.21 and 3.55 for the SO I6.
Currently, I drive a 2017 f150 5.0 302a package. I own a lawncare company, and I believe the f150 is plenty for what im doing. I'd love to uograde to an f250, but it's also my daily driver. With the way the market is, should I stick to what I have or look for a new f150 in a couple of years or maybe a used f250 diesel. I only tow under 4k lbs, but it's daily. What are your thoughts? Love the videos, thank you.
4k is not much for a half ton, if you supplement your winter with snow removal then a 3/4 or 1 ton may be better for the extra weight in front.
Hay JD you talk about headlights out put and all that but what do the look to a on coming driver are they blinding ? Maybe you can do a simple test on that wife can help you with that by driving towards you in a different car are they blinding and you look at the fog line or are you able to look down the road ?
I absolutely will not buy the ram 1500 without the eco-diesel.

Gladly ordering the GMC 1500 straight 6 Duramax Diesel ultimate Denali, and upgrading to air ride suspension.
Good luck out there. Keep the GM under warranty. When the timing set goes in the back of the engine you'll be down for a long time and it's not cheap. Do the research. Plenty of knowledge out there and videos to show it.

If it had them, they didn't turn for me.
It was made under Stellantis leadership. I don't want it.
Let the folks know at Ram they made the biggest mistake in pick up history not upgrading the ram Eco diesel. I’m ordering a 2025 GMC 1500 with the I6 diesel motor.
Sale numbers say differ. And know what you're getting into with that rear belt driven pump in the back of the engine that when it fails you're without a truck. Just a warning.

The Ecodiesel was killed by emissions.

The gen 3 EcoDiesel is 100% EPA emissions compliant.
The EcoDiesel is 60% more fuel efficient than the gasoline guzzling I6 twin turbo that replaced the EcoDiesel.
Therefore the twin turbo gasoline engine that replaced the Gen3 EcoDiesel pollutes significantly more than the EcoDiesel.
The stupidity of wokeism.
Yes, it is a fantastic truck, but there's one major drawback that I can't get past: it is extremely expensive.
I'm thinking RHO for me if the dealers don't play stupid games like they did with the TRX.

eco diesel? no way! the salesman talked us out of that in 2017 when we got our 1500 hemi.

11:00 absolutely would Not spend my money on this. Still No onboard power. It's nice a truck but useless to me as a truck. How many trailers from your collection is it capable towing not going over payload.
What do you mean on board power? Mine has at least two AC outlets and I think one's 300 w I mean not huge but it'll run the battery chargers for the impact drill and grinder

I own a 2022 ram. I hate it. The AC is trash and the truck has body roll. The front seat room is trash. I’ve learned to never trust any of these reviews because they don’t actually know what a smooth ride is. It’s not smoother than the Silverado. My next one is an F-150. Buy anything but this.
Interesting cuz my 2015 Silverado 1500 wasn't nearly as good a ride as my 2019 Ram 1500. The Silverados rear wheels would spin patch out burn rubber on damp pavement going up a slight hill without pressing the gas that much. None of my Rams ever do that. I can even press harder on the gas pedal, and they still grip the pavement perfectly.
I don't know which ram you're driving but I think it has a blue oval on it... Everyone knows that the ram has the best ride of the three big ones in the air suspension just beats everybody else. I drove a nice Chevy 2500 with Allison and diesel and I liked it I also drove a Ford F-350 dually that road like trash when I got back in my RAM I thought something was wrong because the ride was so smooth. I've driven a 2500 RAM gas burner and it's ride was okay.... But I have to say I like the way the Chevy 2500 diesel pulled and drove but I don't think I would choose that over the hemi gas version. Unleaded is just cheaper to operate based on current prices to pick prices for the last 2 years would make gas cheaper and I got about the same mileage out of both.
No V8, no sale. Stellantis hung themselves by abandoning the HEMI.
Ram are baby trucks. Ram truck are narrow body trucks vs a f 1 50. They will rust out in 5 years. I have seen 5 year old rams rust. Get anthing else than a ram.
there is no rust on our 2017 ram and we are in ontario canada where the roads even rust from winter salt

Ford's are on lots rusting underneath ..never had any Rams rust but had many f150 trucks rust underneath..do research kid
They are all around 80" wide which is the cut off before side clearance lights are needed. I've had two Rams in Ohio where they way oversalt, No rust on any of them.
Sadly Ford is some of the least reliable stuff anymore Ford is not the same and I've owned quite a few from a Thunderbird super coupe to the last good car I think they made which is a Ford fiesta ST with the manual one of the most fun cars to drive ever. The trucks have some nice things but they just don't have the fit and finish for the money of RAM.
