- Enjoy watching a complete Diesel (ALCO's and EMD's) platter of Trains on the busy Bangalore - Dharmavaram ( line passes through Yelahanka - Doddballapur - Guribidanur - Hindupur -Penukonda -
Puttaparthy) Single line Section. This section is a gateway for North, East and West bound Trains heading towards Hyderabad, Vijayawada ,Mumbai, parts of Maharasthra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat , Rajasthan, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh.
Presently Bangalore - Yesvantpur - Yelahanka is a Double line and from Yelahanka to Dharmavaram is a Single line section and one can notice the doubling work is under progress. The South Western Railway Jurisdiction ends at Dharmavaram. This Single line splits at Penukonda Junction and diverts towards Sathya Sai Prasanti Nilayama and merges back at Dharmavaram while the other line continues towards Dharmavaram.
The line is choked with heavy traffic of Trains and freight and its a evil necessity to Double the tracks to cut down the travel time of several trains.
In the video you can notice every time a train has to cross on a single line its takes a good 10-15 minutes to loop a train and let the other train cross. The trains have to slow down to loop in and loop out while switching tracks there fore consuming a lot of time. This can be overcome post doubling the tracks.

Believe it or not ALCOs were the only engines who got my attention when I was a child & made me a die hard fan of Indian Railways especially Locomotives.
ALCos are my personal favorite too, the charm and charisma of these monsters cant be matched to any modern Locomotives.

I think this the previous video which u upload it .bcoz now prasanthi gets Electric link.and almost 95%of land works been finished from YNK - PKD .and also track laying works started in between thondebhavi Gauribidanur section and thondebhavi - Makalidurga just initiated as of now .
Yes this was filmed before Prasanti and Kacheguda got E locos. Yes work is going on at Makali but the Bridge construction has not started and that will delay the double line work.
TheRailzone one bridge construction work has started .second one is yet to start. I have seen in one guy's channel recent video .his name is Uttam nail sugali.
