    Please make videos on Mumbai metro. MMRC has published everything about their station designs, and how they will be connecting the stations with the airport.
    Also, the international airport station in Mumbai will be the grandest, as it will be the intersection point of three metro lines together. One of these lines will start from the international airport and will connect the upcoming Navi Mumbai Airport, which will make it the only metro corridor in the country to connect two airports. There's a proposal to build a metro connecting IGI airport and the upcoming Jewar airport near Delhi, though.
    Metro line 2 will have the largest metro depot of India, at Mankhurd, which will be a double decker metro depot housing 72 trainsets.

    Traffic will reduce only when the main reason for explosion in vehicular traffic is catered to : the IT crowd. So till itpl, orr are connected, Bengaluru will see traffic chaos.
    2. Jakkur flying school can easily be save by moving the metro line east along Bellary road and connecting Yelahanka railway station with metro. This will serve another purpose- Yelahanka can be used for new long distance trains in addition to Bengaluru city and Yeshwanthpur. I remember there was a plan for high speed rail from mg road to airport. Why was it shelved, do you think it would have been better? Also in the current plan, if I have to go from Gottigere in red line to airport, I have 2 options..via red line or silk board line.. I also heard of an orange line frm JP Nagar to Hebbal any ideas?

    Why implement different types of signaling systems in different lines? Won't it be more efficient and safe to have a uniform system across all lines?

  • @PraneshSR3
    @PraneshSR3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bro, can't they join green line with the proposed track to airport ? It's a profit move if implementation is done.
    Waiting for your the reply.

    • @MetroRailBlog
      @MetroRailBlog 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They could, but physical interchange is not possible due to different systems being used. Green line has a purpose of serving as a North-South extension in Western Bengaluru. You'll still have an option to use the Yellow Line, Purple Line or the proposed Metrolite corridor to commute from Green Line to Airport Line. 😊

    • @PraneshSR3
      @PraneshSR3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MetroRailBlog bro, they can use peenya depot and use similar to that of byappanahalli depot. After all, that depot is just for maintenance and can be extended to cover a ring over the city for easy and faster connections.

    The flying school can just be established somewhere else right? Or their runway can simply be constructed parallel to the road rather than perpendicular to it. I don't understand why metro needs to go underground for 300 meters. It won't be cost efficient.

    • @quark31
      @quark31 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Jakkur flying school is not just some random flying school. Conceived and Established by the Maharaja of Mysuru. It also has heritage and is one of the oldest schools in the country besides giving an opportunity for young NCC cadets. Everything need not be brushed aside for sake of overbearing immigrants from the north. If you do not know of Bengaluru's history and the Mysuru kingdom country then please read up.

    Any metro makes travel a matter of minutes. Had Indian railways and beloved Bengal state government understood that Kolkata metro construction wouldn't have been a matter of several decades.
    Today Bengal cm said government was in talks to restart metro services as people can be benefitted. If the talks had been about completing all the lines,whole Kolkata could have been benefitted.
