I'm thankful for this video. My '94 LS400 has the exact mechanism, but my issue is different in two ways. For me it's the Passenger door and the problem isn't with the circuit board it's with the motor itself. Also, on my car I didn't have to unfasten the lock cylinder to remove the 10mm bolt that holds the handle to the door. THANK YOU , again

Pretty cool you doing all the work on that car. I’m still Waiting on my ECU...😅 really miss driving mines. Also my RPMs don’t work on my gauge cluster ..I have another one I pulled from a junkyard but I’m not really experienced on soldering printed circuit boards. Would like to get it refurbished and then replace the one that’s in their now. But man what a great ride it is. Especially on the highway.

I miss driving mine too, they are great Autobahn cruisers. Set the cruise control on 140 mph and just whizz away in silence and comfort. Regarding your non-working RPM gauge / tachometer: it might very well be a sticking needle. Does tapping on the dash help to get it from the needle rest when the car is running?

Have you fixed the door lock issue? I just went through the same problem and I may be able to help you out.

Hey! Well, the remote control still doesn't work Ryan, and the drivers door doesn't lock if I unlock the passenger door with the key. The rear doors unlock / lock just fine. So if you have any tips, that would be greatly appreciated!

You should check the metal actuator rods that push/pull the lever and make sure they are not bent. By looking at the lever when you press the lock/unlock button it moves just slightly as if it's trying to lock/unlock but if the geometry of those rods are not straight than it will bind and not move. It was like that with mine too. The rods can get bent when removing the door panel. Especially where the two rods connect on the pivot point seen at top of door @23:26) that turns when locking/unlocking. That's where mine got bent outwards when removing the door panel. Bent it back now all is good.
      Hope that helps!

Thanks for your input, I'll look into that this winter period!
