It was a perfect teaser. Hitting all the right notes, makes you want to see more but also makes you realize that you need to be gentle with her. It is going to be a long wait but absolutely worth it.
I feel the same like you......got tears on my eyes if i saw this trailer yesterday........my favourite movie of my childhood now in real........how beautiful....
I love your reaction. You reminded me of a child. I think all of us feel this type of way watching this teaser. It's what we never got to see as a child... its prefect!
You literally had the same exact expression as I had when I first watched this trailer. I’m a grown man too, I’m like how is this getting me right now? Lol
My heart breaks that it has taken this long to get The Little Mermaid correct, considering all the movie stands for. Your tears are my tears, I am so happy for everything Halle is bringing to all audiences across the world. Much love from Australia❤️❤️
@DolphinMom096 girl what are you talking about? YOUR Disney movies????? I am sure that Disney is going to take to heart that 'DolphinMom096' is upset because she cannot handle accurate racial representation :(( keep on watching the white-casted original version, someone has to
@DolphinMom096 baby girl if the fact that Ariel is now being played by a black woman (which is an accurate depiction of where the movie is set) inhibits your ability to enjoy the movie, then you need to take one big look at yourself. White people have had 100 years of representation at Disney and in the entertainment industry more broadly and now the SECOND we start being diverse and accurately portraying the characters (that were incorrectly portrayed in the first place), people like you, dolphinmom096, try tearing it down. I am fearful for how you are going to cope with the direction the world is progressing, MAGA can only take y'all so far 🤣🤣🤣
@DolphinMom096 Though I cannot argue with the fact that there are a significant amount of dislikes on the trailer, I refuse to believe that people are disliking the trailer based on reasoned objectivity. The first time a Disney character has had their skin colour changed and we have media uproar? Your claims of 'black people' hating the change are completely unfounded. Thank you for making it so abundantly clear that this problem is bigger than I once thought, and that it is not just one angry dolphinmom096 sitting at home on her computer slandering a beautiful actress accurately portraying the role of Ariel, it is in-fact 1.9million people. It is devastating that 1.9 million people cannot see passed the skin-colour of a fictional, mythical creature. It is devastating that 1.9 million people are willing to inject hatred into comment sections full of people who are rejoicing in seeing this type of representation. I hope that you never have to deal with anyone saying such harmful things about you dolphinmom096 and injecting them in spaces which were once safe and peaceful (like you have done today).
@DolphinMom096 Using a white character???? what are you talking about???? Did you know that the Little Mermaid takes place in a french providence in the Caribbean? The character should never have been as fair skinned from the get go? There is a reason Sebastian's songs are reggae inspired. The role was never a white role. And my god dolphinmon096, you started this whole conversation saying that Disney was ruining YOUR Disney movies and that White Lives Matter too. Don't you DARE start saying now that you don't think its a black issue. Your responses are so poorly strung together that I don't even know what you are trying to say half the time, yet I can still delineate that your heart is not with Ariel, because if it were, you would understand that outcasting and feeling rejected in your own society is the crux of the movie. You have inadvertently proved both my point and countered your own argument. If you want to keep spewing hate, because god knows I have had enough trying to decipher your comments, go to another small creators account. It is unfair of you to spew such vile things on someone's page who has so obviously been waiting a long time for this moment. How dare you ruin that for her. How dare you ruin that for me. And how dare you ruin that for anyone else who may be stumbling across this video in the future.
This is all I wanted omg I wish every little girl of color just glowed with happiness the way you did while reviewing this ,I literally balled my eyes out
I've been watching many reaction videos and everytime it comes to the part where she starts singing, I turn my volume down because if I don't I would start crying like a baby. Her vocals just bring so much emotion.
This was the first movie I ever saw in theaters and it’s brought me a lifetime of joy and im beyond happy to share her now with you. No she no longer looks like the little mermaid I grew up with but it doesn’t matter. Your reaction to this makes it all the worth while. I now get to rewatch it through others eyes
the fact that her hair isint red red red doesnt matter were trying to get a realistic feel to this and this feels so dam real to me i loved this movie growing up and i started crying my eyes out phenomenal job to this young actress my highest praises to her !!
Yes I agree if they had to keep it 100%true to the original red …it would’ve ended up just looking like a bad cos-play and I’m glad this represents a person of color if they had actual red ginger hair
I disagree with your statement about dreads not moving in water! I really like how her hair stood still then moved before she went in the tunnel so realistic and the iridescent tails were stunning I gotta say, I really like the 4 fin tail and the green/purple scales such an artistic touch. 👍
Dreads/locs can definitely move in water, however when locs get saturated with water it gets heavy and it does its own thing lol like it develops its own personality, I love her hair and I love that the production team put in the effort to ensure that it looks so stunning.
@@MTC22 it looks like her hair is mixed with some straight or curly hair at the end of her locs so that could be as to why they flow. Plus she’s deep deep in the sea so weight carry’s differently
It baffles me how people are so pressed about a MERMAIDDD (which doesn’t exist btw) being black when that had absolutely nothing to do with the original plot . 😂 it is never that serious , get over it . Y’all hate when black people have their moments .
the Idea mermaids came from African water spirits known as the Mami Wata. While I love the magic and music of the ruby red haired sea princess we all Admire,at last we see a mermaid of color on the big screen.I am sure I will appreciate Halle Bailey as Ariel just the same as I do the one on the magical screen before her. Con congratulations Halle Bailey you'll make one her of a mermaid. Love and light. ❤️⭐
I cried the whole time . And now everyone called her Ariel stating they remember when Halle said this in her interview . lol I said how yall remember all that lol . I wanted to thank the oringle Actress who voiced Ariel . For picking are girl Halle .
Y'all really out here looking like *itches. She looks better than every female in your entire family. Most importantly, she has the role, looks, talent and the bag. That you are shook, bothered and triggered fills me with joy. Unspeakable joy!
Is anyone gonna talk about the elephant in the room? Why is she black, I’m so tired of these race swaps. I didn’t know blacks were the only races in the world. I hope the main actor in the next black panther film is Asian. 😎I wonder how black people would feel about that?
This version is for Gen Z & Gen Alpha. To answer your question, the little mermaid supposedly took place in the Caribbean. So they figured that it would make sense to have a black Ariel. 🤷 Just saying. I'm not a blancophobe btw
Unfortunately this will be another Disney flop people do not like when you mess with original casted movies and race swap. Is it so hard for Disney to make something new with new characters and choose who ever they want to be casted it isn't that hard.

I love that "Goddess locs" ☺
