    Isn't the government already the single largest property and land owner? 88 000 buildings and something like 5 million hectares of farmland (enough to give every South-African a quarter of a rugby field)? Maybe start there?
    Also, this will tank property prices. Who will want to own any property? Thus a massive loss in tax

      And in the biggest capitalist country USA the dollar is weakening rapidly, they have more debt than any other country, average workers can't buy houses and rent takes most of the pay check, they can't even afford rent, they have no savings so they are living pay-check to pay-check, they need loans to pay for university and they have the biggest prison population.

      @@aem870 Yet people from socialist/communist countries are risking their lives in order to escape from their socialist/communist countries. The immigration problem only goes one way..Observe the observable. Capitalism is definitely not flawless..but it is still the better option . We haven't cracked the problem yet. After a hundred years of trying to implement Communism..those countries that tried are on their knees..they only keep their citizens compliant with harsh authoritarianism. You lose the argument when you state that people in capitalist countries live from hand to mouth. . Most people in the world live from pay check to pay check..But it is possible with hard work and entrepeneurship to escape from this grind in a capitalist country. It will help South Africa absolutely zero if the government owns all the land. Zero. Zero. Zero. Companies pollute the land. They don't build up the land values. You have to understand land values, how city and residential areas are developed, the value of property, the value of city land vs. rural land, the market incentive to beautify land.... beautiful skyscrapers, beautify residential homes etc. there's a massive difference in land values between cities and why you as a government shouldn't ever own all the land, because people will pollute the land, let it fall into disrepair... because they don't personally own the land... they don't want to invest in the land, you want private land ownership to increase land values! To increase the incentive to invest! Just because China does it and 200 other countries don't do it, doesn't it mean you have to do it here... you have to understand what you are doing, you are destroying private wealth. The market DRIVES INVESTMENT. Value creates value and an incentive to INVEST more...because it increases in value.

    Government and Municipal job oportunities being public services are the majority incompetent posts because they are cadre deployments, family members and once in they move around using their connections to be elevated and the real functional people are overlooked for posts and because there is no accountability in public service and you are as incompetent as the person who manages you the public service sector in terms of growing people fails and is rather a means of spendi g tax payers money with little service provision for the tax/ rates paid.

      Thing is, there are elements in the ANC that are more DA than EFF. The moderate voters of any race who own property and are economically successful would be unlikely to go along with expropriation without compensation.

    • @lemontree397
      @lemontree397 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Actually, no. It means it is supported by the political actors of those parties and their followers.
      South Africans are typically concerned about crime, having income, finances, family, and things that people experience in their everyday lives.
      I also almost never see angry people in public places, and I live in a city. People generally seem to just mind their own business.
      If you want to know what South Africans actually want, then you should pick people at random from different places and across different cultures and over a period of a few months or a year (for seasonal patterns and systemic events) and give them the same questionnaire. Ask them to list the top 5 most important issues in the country from their perspective; ask them if EWC will be good or bad for SA, and if so, how does it rank in the list of issues they selected - assuming multiple choices with an "Other" option where they can add additional issues not listed in the default selection.
