Zender doesn't play super flashy stuff, but I'm always astonished by his tone. Just... the control, the dynamics, the articulation. It's always impeccable. Really makes that bass sing.
Jay Kay needs to get fit for that. Maybe 6 months in intensive gym and diet will help his voice to get more powerful again. Stu Zender is still in his prime and haven't aged at all - just incredible.
That is spot on. JK is those one in a million individuals that comes along once in a while and makes an impact on music. Jay has that it factor in his singing his lyrics and his movements. It's unparalleled in do many factors. Pure Genius indeed
The first time I heard Jamiroquai, I heard a baseline. I didn't know who they were then, but I soon found out. From the sublime Blow Your Mind to Emergency On Planet Earth , what I couldn't get over was this kid standing in front of me playing, who was 4 years younger than me, absolutely nailing it!
Most amazing thing about Stuart: knowing which notes not to play i.e. no overplaying as some other great players (e.g. Andrew G.). Really astonishing given his age!

If the dragon balls existed I'd find them four times just to make these four reunions happen: 1 - Jay Kay and Stuart Zender 2 - David Gilmour and Roger Waters 3 - Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher 4 - Liam Maher and Joe Maher (RIP both)
There was a time when these guys were the SHIT…great time to be a teenager in 93/94 with two amazing albums…real shame Stuart left early…different band without him.
Fantastic work in this edited live man! I will always be annoyed by the talent and groove of Stuart Zender. Also what an incredible musicians in that concert. A really big band sound. Blesses to all and Peace!!
PopeDope69420 hopefully you have watched this 1995 concert by now. The full audio is a available and only segments of the show have been uploaded though. Definitely the golden years for the band th-cam.com/video/Kz29-84zHdI/w-d-xo.html
MrBillyboyroge I saw the Japan performance which I think is the same track list. I know the cut Mr Moon from that set though which is a big shame. Did they add it back in the this one?
Credit to nick van gelder , stu and toby and dj dzire , so Flawless .. This early members were priceless and the time stole them away First 3 album have made these amazing boys going places and become famous WoRLD wide.. Thank you guys for the music
Wow..I'm impressed by the talent of each musician. And the sound of the brass is so spellbinding. This was missing in september 2023 at Orange concert despite a great performance!
It's unreal how young they are and how sophisticated and musical they were. When I was 21 in 1992 I was an eclectic drummer that bounced all around Chicago looking for something unique, Funky and Quality to be apart of and that was impossible because first the musicianship was low grade and finding individuals that truly loved music not playing to pick up girls. The scene was mashed between cheesy spandex Metal and grunge, so funk, punk and melody was almost non existent. Jay Kay is a genius..
I read one time that JK said in an interview that it was a big mistake that Jamiroquai went to be mainstream. He think that Jamiroquai would be more famous if the stay by Acid Jazz.I think so too.But I think also that JK Would stopped being an Musical AT all if He wouldnt get so much drugs about the year 2000.I am sorry ,my english is bad.i hope you umderstand it....
Definitely, I was listening to them in 93 aged 13…completely different band after the 2nd album. Jay Kay became a tabloid target, cocaine, fast women and cars…they became a backup for Jay Kay and not a group.
Its fantastic!!! My favorites at this: When you gonna learn- for acid jazz Space clav- perfec jam P.S.For me Stuart Zender god of bass, like a Bernard Edwards)
Yea Stu did extra awesome bass on space clav, i feel like I'm falling into music black hole with this sound, and Van Gelder did awesome job with these grooves, nowadays classic grooves ❤

Really makes that bass sing.
Absolutely agree! I didnt realized he had actually only been playing about three years at this point.
And he created a lot of those bass lines (if not all)
@@Englishdan81 exactly 3 years

So so young, so so talented. I really miss this J K, this Jamiroquai, this Acid Jazz he used to play...
Stu was 19 years old when he did this gig. Just let that thought sink in for a minute...
considering he had written so many iconic basslines during his tenure. Wouldn't we all love to hear more in the here and now
Thats crazy. Some people are just meant to do things and he found it. That is a pretty creative age for a lot of great musicians.
And only started playing at 15!
Wow 😲
Yeah his bass licks definitely stand out! Superb 👌🏻
Stuart! The good old days. Part of the reason I play bass.
Stuart's a great guy :)
Yes, Stuart Zender is the man.
Yep, same here !
+Jerkface1er Dat tone and groove.
Jerkface1er yes, me too 😊
Toby Smith, gone but no-forgotten, Energy alwyas flows.
Toby killing it . Rip to the keyboard goat. 😭😭😭😭😭
The KINGS of acid jazz! And Stuart Zender is one of the best bass guitarists this world has seen!
I saw them 1993 in Las Vegas at Fremont St Reggae and Blues. They were great then. I smoked a fatty with Zender he was cool as ice!! The good ol days
Waiting a JK and Stu Zender reunion tour, playing the 3 first Jamiroquai albuns
This band was the truth back in the day ! M
Jay Kay needs to get fit for that. Maybe 6 months in intensive gym and diet will help his voice to get more powerful again. Stu Zender is still in his prime and haven't aged at all - just incredible.
Wouldn't count on it, but if Gilmour and Waters can reunite, I guess anything's possible...

🙏
God. Since I started to listen this band my life has changed
Me too, I just discovered them today. Revived my spirit.
This must be one of the top 3 Jamiroquai's performances of all the time. Those Stuart's basslines are perfect, specially on Blow your Mind.
this one, tokyo 95 and montreaux imho
@@ownitonvhs Woodstock 99 is also GREAT!!!
@@drbest87I was there… I don’t remember much of it tho unfortunately lol
Jks stage presence is unparalleled... The man is a maniac. Genius.
Frankie ForReal seeing him in NYC for the first time..20 years waiting and it will still be amazing!!! So psyched!
That is spot on. JK is those one in a million individuals that comes along once in a while and makes an impact on music. Jay has that it factor in his singing his lyrics and his movements. It's unparalleled in do many factors. Pure Genius indeed
This and the 95 Japan recordings are probably their best performances on TH-cam.
The first time I heard Jamiroquai, I heard a baseline. I didn't know who they were then, but I soon found out.

thanks , quality music needs more music-quality ;-)

すごーい!見られてうれしいです♡このライブ行きたかったけど、まだ中学生で行けなかったのを思い出しました。
This is so cool! Has to be my favorite live performance.

I remind myself of the "weird old hippies" back in the eighties waxing nostalgic on the sixties when I say "music meant more back in the nineties!!"
At 1:05 for a couple minutes or so he's whaling out the sounds, amazing and I love it. So sophisticated for his young age!

Seen them in 1993 and 2018. Soundtrack of my life. I think their musical peak was around 2006
Your nuts their peak was 93 to 97 aka the zender years
@@tonyspacecowboyagree. That crew Toby , Zender and that guy with flute ❤️
i still hate that i was too young in the 90's to go to a Jamiroquai Concert!
what a blast that would have been!
It was, saw them 1993 in Germany, will never forget (the sweet girl I went with)
Amazing performance... amazing crowds...perfect..
Merci pour ce concert.
Ахуительно! Такой драйв, ушел сюда с концерта 2018. Смотрю в 2022.

My goodness, that was incredible - loved it!
I bet JK would love to start all over again - and adjust a few career moves since 1998.
would he leave it all ??? i fuckin would
