Damn, that sounds great. The end-address dynamic world is getting crowded with really high quality, increasingly less expensive gear. A lot of people say bad stuff about China, but thank God for China for allowing me to afford to make incredible sounding stuff on a shoestring budget. Love the video as always, Bark. I watch every one. Thanks for everything
Awesome comment. I appreciate you! And yeah, we may not like some of the practices over there....but theres good people there like there is in any country. Thanks a ton!
Great review Bark. Glad I was not taking a drink of anything during that one particular comment or I would have been tasting it with the inside of my nose. You know the one... LOL. Thanks for a morning dopamine boost! Great info and laughter, what is not to like about your content? The "leaders" of the mic world had better start stepping up their game...in a big way... or they are gonna find themselves falling from grace and gonna be playing a whole new game of "catch up." Fifine is sneaking up on em while they slumber. I am still liking the K669D a lot, esp at the price point. This new offering is a strong contender on many levels. Good sound and that off axis rejection was super impressive. The mute switch "click" needs a bit of improvement but at least it is there. I can see this filling the need for a lot of TH-cam and podcasting folks who don't want to spend a bunch-o-money to get a decent sound without having to have an interface and get decent sound with built in monitoring. Looks like the bad mic streak has broken... Thanks Fifine and Bark!
I’m a big fan of Fifine. I own three, and two have been my son’s daily drivers. Cost to quality ratio (build and sound) is top notch. Prefer it in XLR , but sounds pretty good overall. Enjoy that Canadian chocolate my friend!
top top top microphone. Unfortunately, we Brazilians suffer with the import of these fifine products when they are over 50 dollars. Above this value, the Brazilian government charges a 92% tax on the final product, making it unfeasible to buy. The last fifine I bought was the fifine am8. I would love to buy this one, but for Brazil it is extremely expensive and unfeasible to buy. I just enjoy watching this video, congratulations on your work. We are together.
I'm glad you like it as much as I do. I still haven't taken it off the boom arm. That resonance when pressing the button is the only think I wish they would have nailed better. I can't remember if I had that issue with the Samson Q9U or not. I don't own it anymore to test it. I love your fun reviews!
Yooooo i just reviewed the tank 3 mic as well on my channel. This is a fantastic mic. I love how it picks up more lower tones then staying in the highs.
Expecting a 5 volt USB connection to power the headphone amp, it's understandable that there are limitations. It would be interesting to take the headphone out into an amplifier to see if it sounds better when the output isn't loaded. And yes, the 669 is one of those cases where I'm tempted to buy several on account of quality and price.
The Tank3 sound is incredibly clear but a little lightweight for my taste. I like the old fashioned deep warm sound, better represented by the k688 or Shure SM7B. Unfortunately the K688 I purchased broke down within hours so I am on the hunt and open to recommendations.
A decent option for combo input and finally not a clone of the MV7! I think the premium over the K669D is perfect to account for dual input while also not alienating other options in their lineup. Not often a $50 dollar difference to give you more options coming from the base XLR version and still undercutting quite a few brands and no real FOMO. For the functionality, not much is in the range for $89 that I'd choose over it. If you do have an interface, I still think that K669D is almost criminal at $37
Thank you very much for the kind words on the design! The last comment is quite to the point, but it really depends on more content creators like Bark to make more videos about the XLR mics setup, otherwise, people tend to steer off these types of mics for the complexity.
Man.. I just purchased my 3rd K688 for the podcast, and now this releases… talking about peeve’d 😂 /sidebar/ this new one sounds a bit less muddy on the low end compared to the K688.. really crispy.. welp..
Wow. That was pretty impressive. My usual question: Does the xlr and usb work at the same time? Fifine and maono are china champs of quality cheap mics.
The mute button makes a noise when you pressed it,I think it introduces some resonance on the mic's body. What do you think after hearing it over and over?
Im coming from the q2u, i just want a new good sounding combo mic.. Looking at this the fduce sl40 and the pd200x, which do you think is better? Mainly be using for zoom meetings and work.
Check out my video on the feelworld pm1 - its kind of a banger for well under 100 And I have a video upcoming on this, and its worth the money....but if you can be patient...they have ran a 50% off coupon wice in the last 2 weeks, but its not there today...but surely will be again soon amzn.to/3Pn3lZo
I love when a mic comes in a plain cardboard box with black ink on it. I figure that's $2 more color art and glossy cardstock I didn't have to pay for. Even if they still charged me that $2 anyway, good! Put it into developing more cool mics, not art I'm gonna throw away as soon as the mic is out of it. How high impedance are the headphones you're using with it, could crappier cans sound louder (if not better)?
Hi, kindly I need your advice on how to get your audio sound like Radio announcer? and from your experience which mic is best to use if that in mind? and can this be achieved by editing, if so any video you know to guide?! Thanks so much in advance for your advice.
Yes, not much a problem, but it's just a bit complicated. Since to use to the XLR function, you may also need an interface with it's own built-in power in case the power shortage issue of the phone during use. If your plan is to just use the USB feature, it may not be necessary to spend the extra on a mic with an XLR port. Anyway, for the protocol concern, just make sure you get the adapter from the Apple store or the official sales channels.
@@FIFINE you still don't got it, not here not on Twitter. Mic and iPhone do both have USB-C and yes, tech-people have USB-C to USB-C cables with data at home. No need for adapters. BUT this mic has lost my focus, because it cant handle plosives well.
Nearly 30 reviews and I guess I am the odd dude out. The mic looks great, love the plosive and side rejection, seems like it has an awesome build quality, but it sounds top frequency heavy to me and not particularly natural. I recently cleaned my ears, so I don't think my hearing is filtered... I would like to hear this mic with a clown nose and hope the addition of foamy goodness might help. I want to see the frequency response chart on this one. But by golly, a great looking mic. Just not my taste.
I think compression makes it come alive like the sm7b....I kinda went back and forth on the unprocessed sound before coming to the conclusion that I liked it
Thanks for pointing it out! To be brutally honest, the Tank3 gets a bit more presence in the highs but compared to the models like the Rode Podmic and the rest of FIFINE recording mics, it should be quite natural. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on this model. Much appreciated the insight! And it's great to know that you like the look of it!

Not bad. It's better to wait a little while longer. Bought 2 669s. Love them. Still a good mic.

I hope they keep pushing with other types of devices
Thank you enrique! Nice to see your comment on our product again!
I think the k669d sounds WAY better than the Tank3. Thanks for the review!
I do like it better myself. But I do like both quite a bit
Price and quality makes this a strong competitor to the Rode Podmic. The plosive rejection is really impressive.

32 ohm sennhesiers....easy to drive
Around 10mW@32Ohm, no problem driving low-impedance headphones properly, but it may become quite a struggle to work with those over 64ohm.

24/96 I believe
