      Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time
      The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits
      So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply

    In Kerala we do have 7 Churches build by St Thomas in AD 52 & all the churches are under the Indian Orthodox church(Syriac) or Syriac Jacobite Churches.....Not even a single church is with Catholics....We still uses Syriac as our Church Language & we were Lucky in Kerala to survie without any problem from AD 52....All the Kings & Governments were in full support and we all exist in peace( Hindus. Muslims and Christians).

We were one till 19th century then the split happened Indian Orthodox church(Syriac)- not under the Patriarch of Antioch & Jacobite Syriac Church Under the Patriarch of Antioch.....We both count around 5 million people in Kerala & Settled abroad.......Im from the Indian Orthodox church & hope the differences settles down and we become one.

    Towards the end of the 16th century, the Portuguese Inquesition used its military might and influence with certain local rulers to forcibly convert the Nazrani Christians(Orthodox Christians) to Roman Catholicism. The Indians responded with the Koonan Kurishu Sathyam proclaiming their unique and apostolic identity. After this incident, Archdeacon Thomas was ordained as bishop by the laying on of hands by twelve priests.

    I keep hearing over and over Roman C is the first, but the fact they needed to copy off of Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek texts to create their Latin Bible proves they were second. (If they were first, everyone else would have been copying off the Latin.) Hope to visit one of your churches someday. My sister married a Syrian.

    May I ask, what is the difference other than Liturgical practice between the Syriac and the Easter Orthodox.. such as Antiochian, Greek ... I am from the Antiochian Archdiocese. of Metropolitan Joseph. formerly Metropolitan Philip Saliba of Thrice Blessed Memory, we are under the Patriarchate of Antioch. Patriarch John.
    What Divine Liturgy does the Syriac use? I do not think it is St John Chrysostom but I could be wrong. Last question... Is the Syriac church in Communion with the Antiochian Church..
    Thanks Christ is Risen ! Indeed He is Risen. Christos Anesti ! Alethos Anesti.

    • @johns22
      @johns22 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Syriac Orthodox Church still use St James Liturgy -- a Liturgy that is celebrated by the Eastern Orthodox Church once a year.
      Both churches stopped being in communion after the Council of Chalecdon at 451AD. There has been an effort, which is still ongoing, to re-unite both churches along with the Coptic and Armenian churches. I hope the effort will be successful.
      If you are a native Middle Eastern Christian from the Levant then your ancestors came from the same blood as the native Syriac Orthodox Church followers. When the church split in 451AD, many Syriacs decided to follow the Eastern Orthodox Church and leave the Syriac Orthodox Church. These Syriacs were labeled Melkites. Modern Eastern Orthodox Church of the Levant are the descendants of the Melkites. They abandoned their Syriac native language and replaced it with Arabic within few centuries after the Muslim conquest. In addition, they abandoned their Syriac heritage and replaced it with the Arabic identity for political reasons. Unfortunately, the overwhelming majority do not know their history.

    The Roman Catholics never admitted Arch Decon Thomas as the Head of the Orthodox church , So Appeals were sent to various Eastern Christian centers and Mor Gregorios Abdul Jaleel Bawa (Arch Bishop of Jerusalem) was the first to respond. Mor Gregorios reached Ponnani, then an important port on the south Western coast of India, in 1665. Mor Gregorios canonically ordained the Archdeacon as Metropolitan Mor Thoma I. They traveled to various churches reaffirming the Orthodox faith and traditions.

    • @antiochsuryoyo5118
      @antiochsuryoyo5118 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, the canonical line comes from Mor Pathros, not Mor Thoma.

  • @rebeccaabdallah

    @2Nikolaos3 Oriental Orthodox are not monophysites. Monophysites believe that Christ has one divine nature only, miaphysites do not accept this. The word Monophysite was used to denigrate the Oriental Orthodox because they would not fall into line with Rome. In reality, the difference between Chalcedonian and non-Chalcedonian churches is an academic one as the gentleman in the video points out. And as the comment below mine says, the important thing is that we are all Christians.

      Isa is the word of God. Read your qur an surrah 3:45. Not biological son. Also read your hadith about the atrocity your prophet has done. U will know who will go to hell.
      Sahih Muslim 41:6985
      Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me;
      come and kill him;
      but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.
      Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
      No woman of Banu Qurayzah was killed except one. She was with me, talking and laughing on her back and belly (extremely), while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was killing her people with the swords. Suddenly a man called her name: Where is so-and-so? She said: I I asked: What is the matter with you? She said: I did a new act. She said: The man took her and beheaded her. She said: I will not forget that she was laughing extremely although she knew that she would be killed.
      sunnah.com/abudawud/15/195
      Narrated Atiyyah al-Qurazi:
      I was among the captives of Banu Qurayzah. They (the Companions) examined us, and those who had begun to grow hair (pubes) were killed, and those who had not were not killed. I was among those who had not grown hair.

      Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah al-Ansari: A man from the tribe of Bani Aslam came to Allah's Messenger [Muhammad] and informed him that he had committed illegal sexual intercourse; and he bore witness four times against himself. Allah's Messenger ordered him to be stoned to death as he was a married person (Bukhari 8:6814; see also 8:6825; 8:6829)
      The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No prayer is heavier upon the hypocrites than the Fajr and the `Isha' prayers and if they knew what is in them (in reward), they would have attended them, even if (it was) crawling. Certainly, I felt the urge to order the Mu'adh-dhin (call-maker) so that he would pronounce Iqama, then order a man to lead the people (in prayer), then take a flame of fire so that I burn (the houses) upon those who had not left for the prayer yet."

      Narrated `Ikrima:
      Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to `Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn `Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

    There seems to be some confusion with them multiple names used for thesame grouo in this video. "Syrian Orthodox Church" for example, should refer to the Church whose Patriarch is in Syria, in Damascus. They too are hard pressed, they too celebrate the Liturgy in Syriac.

      Tell Malankara Orthodox to find a new tradition. Malankara Orthodox (Vattasheril group) would not have a liturgy, vestments and rite if it wasn't for the Patriarchal mother Church in Antioch. Onnu podo.
