For the aging in place service business, there is also a huge opportunity on the other end: removing/redoing all of the assisted living items. For example, my dad had the staircase chairlift in his house. All good, it made a difference for him which was great. However, when it came time to sell the house, it was a real blocker...none of the prospective buyers were interested in it, didn't need it, didn't want to deal with getting it out of there or selling it, and we didn't, either. That could even be part of the deal for doing the original work: "when you are ready to sell or no longer need the assisted living items, give us a call and we'll undo the work for a 20% discount" or something like that.

These are great ideas. You could do an in-depth video of each service job and get to the nuts n' bolts of each business. Things like training, certification, licensing, insurance, equipment selection. Dealing with OSHA, EPD/EPA, DOT, city and county ordinances, HUD, HHS, etc. Plus, record keeping, taxes, building a client base, types of contracts, legal services for each business.
This could be a 40 part video series for you. Are you up for the task? 😋

Septic Pumping: Costs a lot for the truck and EPA approved dumping; but a company I use charges about $5k for 10k gallons of pumping. Takes about 2 hours
That's a ridiculous price.
If they’re charging you that, you have been getting robbed blind. An average 1,000 gal tank is roughly $300 in my area. You can 10x it for your amount but there is also a slight discount if there is a lot of volume. Even without volume discount you’re getting severely overcharged unless the 10k gal are split up and located a far drive apart
@@YaNJASlc You can't say it's a rip-off if you don't know the specifics. First, to pump 10k gallons, there are going to be multiple trips to pump and then go dump the material. The septic trucks don't have that kind of volume to make it a one and done. How far away is the dumping facility? What is the access to the septic tank? Can you just drive up or do you need to haul out a bunch of hose? What are the dumping fees? I doubt they are the same everywhere. Lots of questions and variables to price a job.
I pay $200!
Different companies are have different rates for different jobs,
like right now in the area I'm in standard tanks for houses 1000-1500 gallon is anywhere between 600-1000 dollars..
Then they may store that in larger tanks and have another company tank 7000gallons from them at a time with larger trucks and ease of access...
Then there's locating and digging up the tanks because most people have no idea where the tank is and have never had it pumped..
I used to have a restaurant until last year, and I paid 700 CAD for a 20 foot hood exhaust every quarter. I was very generous because the service provider was a small local business. Ensure you get a few quotes from your competitors before you price someone something crazy.

Cool video. I live in L.A. the junk removal industry is monopolized here, everyday on the freeway i see dozens of water, fire, and mold remediation/restoration trucks it’s saturated. However there was some niche jobs you mentioned that could have some potential in my city.

Services for elderly especially mechanical device installs carries BEYOND HUGE liability. No one should do STAIRLIFTS if they’re not ready for potential lawsuits

And to add one more note. The aging population is home poor and they're looking for an excuse to get hurt from the work. You do To file some type of lawsuit to get money to live. Sad but true 👌🏾 💯 👍🏽

Not all do, but at least in the cities, aren't banks located in buildings with building maintenance who go around taking care of that in all the occupied facilities within the building?

There are many jobs to do,I help help myself and I see so much to do!!! One often to clean out refrigerator service and ovens!!!! Cleaning out for deceased - remove belongs like clothes other items! Garage cleaning! Laundry help is needed! Prep meals! There is a lot of jobs out there to start! Also you just help someone already doing these things is best teacher! The jobs always differ so you learn as you go! No perfect system or plan! People love you being flexible to your job that sells you!
Septic pumper is not that viable in New Hampshire. I paid about $450 for my cleaning. The guy was here for nearly 1.5 hours. He had to then drive to the treatment facility when his truck got full after a few pumpings and then drive home/next job. Probably makes a little over $100/hour. He has to maintain his truck and insurance as well. Many tanks are buried in a foot plus of dirt and in many cases, you have to search for the tank. And it is a sh!tty job.
There are probably a lot of things he glosses over to make it more appealing to an uneducated audience so he can get clicks and views. There are probably a lot of road blocks to these types of jobs. It's not like someone off the streets can come in and start doing these jobs. Depending on the job there's training, equipment, licenses, etc needed. Also, not sure how many jobs the guy gets. If there is no work then there's no pay. So I don't know how frequent he gets jobs.
Exactly. You're not gonna pump 5 tanks a day. And there is a fee to dump as well. And to install a septic system is something you have to have a skill to do. Not to mention the permits.
Excuses don't pay the bills. If you want free money become a politician.
A lot of these businesses don’t do 5 a day, they do 25 a day and they have a guy/prepper in front of them. It’s very profitable, especially if you can dump the 🐻 in your own private dump place. And charge for others to dump in your private poopster.
@@vincentb2175 there are only so many hours in one day. The trucks physically can't hold the sewage from 5 septic tanks. By the nature of the business, septic tanks tend to be in rural areas. Your service area naturally will be geographically large and spread out. After about 2 pumps, the trucks have to dump the sewage. Even if you have a sales guy in front of the trucks selling the jobs they won't be able to do 5 in a day.
About dumping in your own yard. You have to have a big business for that to occur because at that point you're running a private waste water treatment plant. That or you have huge storage tanks that you have to pump and transfer to a waste water plant.

So, ive recently added crime scene cleanup to what my company offers. It is very a difficult field to become established in. A lot of the national companies that plaster commercials get those calls and references.
The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.

I'm looking for prices online for commercial hood cleaning it says $200 to $500 depending on size, where is it $3000 a job?

I honestly don't even think you need to have construction/handyman experience to enter the aging in place niche. Offer few services at first (shower handrails, stair lift). Learn to do & teach someone else how to do it as employee of yours. Set up a website that looks presentable. Fire off few facebook ads to gauge interest. If people start contacting you - you have a business. I already have warehouse space I rent for another business and I have extra space so I might throw this idea against wall and see if it sticks. Sounds like a lot of these ideas are going to need things like certifications, contractor's licensing, specialty training, etc. Most of these don't seem like something that any Joe Sixpack could just jump into (at least not legally).

Lol this video started out saying “these are the jobs no one is talking about” that’s because the skills required to do perform these jobs aren’t acquired within a year and usually require you to have some for of a license, insurance and a bunch of other stuff that you can’t go out and get in a day or month or two. 😂

You forget to mention that with the cleaning kitchen hood business that you need to have insurance because their are pullies and pins within the vent system that trigger the fire alarm if you accidentally pull these the restaurant will most certainly come after for it since its very costly
Yes with any service business you will definitely want to have insurance.
You really shouldn’t be listing things without clarifying on their certification requirements. While I’m not sure about some of these, I know for certain that mold remediation is a specialty that absolutely does require certifications to operate. I’ve seen some of your other videos, and they have the same problem. I think just adding that information, as well as time and costs involved with getting them, would really be helpful to both the person watching and your channel.

Getting employees for hood cleaning can be difficult. This is a 3rd shift only job. And few want to maintain it on the long term. Otherwise, yes, it is awesome money.

You’ll likely need insurances and maybe certifications for some of these. Treeforts etc I believe require permits likely in many places.
You don’t need gov permission for anything. Just do what you want. By complying with all these dumbass regulations and money grabs, you’re part of the problem

Some are worse (or at least more known), yes, but most can cause severe health and mental issues and these get misdiagnosed.
I wonder how dangerous it would be for the person that has such a business of cleaning up mold? Especially if he (or she) does it on a regular basis.

The biggest problem with the hoarders idea is that they want to keep everything that you are trying to get rid of. How do you price your time to convince them to get rid of piece by piece? Your best bet is to focus on the general population.

Septic install caveat you failed to mention is how expensive a crane is, which is required for that, and probably why wait times are so high.
Not sure where you live or where you get your info, but when speaking of Septic Services, you are wrong on Everything you spoke of. You didn't even mention the cost of overhead and maintenance of the trucks and permits needed !! Not to mention the labor it takes to locate a tank and dig down to it to pump it and repair it....

Take it to your nearest waste water recovery facility, or water treatment plant. Whatever you want to call it. A lot of them accept septic waste

These systems or services aren’t free. Labor and supplies cost money, this isn’t talking about price gauging
Definitely not promoting taking advantage at all. I hope it didn’t come across that way. This is just a needed high ticket service that not enough people are offering. If anything, they may actually save money by being able to stay in their home and not have to rent somewhere else.

These services are needed, and many of these clients have the resources to make the investment. It’s a win- win. Those who are handicapped and on disability, and can not afford any home remodeling should be moving in with supportive family members.
