Minor correction.. The Ottomans established a Muslim printing press (with a firman declaring it legal). Was established by Ibrahim Muteferrika in 1727 some 50 to 60 years before the invasion of Egypt. But the point still stands theres a massive 250 year gap between print in europe and the Muslim lands

This is very enlightening and very heartbreaking/uncomfortable talk, but it needs to be had. Do you think one of the reasons is injustice and oppression done by a power on the people creates dissent and resentment and this allows for other foreign invaders to exploit the people. Also injustice and oppression keeps the people weak and therefore unprepared for the discipline and technology of the French army.

What the French did (physically) to Al-Azhar is no where near the damage of what the British have done to it (psychologically)...Subhanallah.
Cairo used to be the capital of Islamic knowledge after Baghdad. Now, after Cairo, it seems Istanbul is becoming more and more of the Islamic capital of knowledge. Damascus, Fez, and Amman are also great places or were during the 20th century.

Also, please do some talks on the individual Sunni and Shia fiqh madhabs present and most relevant extinct ones. Development, many fiqh usul etc.
    many.
Lastly, bring the above points full circle by talking about how the main Shia and Sunni fiqh madhabs connect the main Sunni and Shia sub sects. For example, Hanafis and Maturidiyyah or Hanbalis and Athariyyah (Salafiyyah) etc.
This would give you so many topics, historical and theological, plus some fiqhi points to cover in a series of videos. These videos could all be put together a series inshallah.
