There would be so little liquid in the container after a mouse was put in there that, in order for it to fully dissolve the corpse before the acid was all used up, it would have to be VERY strong acid - and thus would do so much faster than 30 days. Mountain Dew is completely fine to drink sometimes as a part of a balanced diet.

Always felt weird to me that in english, "you are one in a million" would mean that you stand out under a million people. In german, it would mean that you are just one of the million, therefore you don't really matter.
Then again, on another scale, being "self-conscious" in english is a bad thing but means that you are very rooted in yourself and brave in german.

Not to mention the fact that the case presumably rested on whether the mouse would look the way the man described it, not on whether it was completely dissolved or not.
There would be so little liquid in the container after a mouse was put in there that, in order for it to fully dissolve the corpse before the acid was all used up, it would have to be VERY strong acid - and thus would do so much faster than 30 days.
