This song is like that type of song that once you discover, you listen a Lot but then you forget somehow... And some years later when you listen again from somewhere, gives you chills. Like you came back home. Is so hard for me to listen to this song without visiting old emotional memories
I feel like she's a close friend of mine, for I've listened and felt every bit of her music so many times. And so many times they dragged me down, and built me up, and made me cry and made me smile. All these sets of emotions in just one artist. It's absolutely incredible. Thank you Sargent House, thank you Mark Pellington, thank you Ben Chisholm and thank you Chelsea Wolfe.
This is art, i mean it from the bottom of my heart, music, movies, have been there for me since childhood, they were my shelter, and now i feel wrong in thinking that. But this revives my smile and for what i gave my heart. True art cannot be put down for long, one day this will reach the hearts of the people ❤️
10 years after listening to this for the first time I’ve discovered it again and wow. If a song could be used to define grief AND life after loss it world be this. Idk how this song does it.
The part when she says "I'm searching through faces for someone familiar, I claw and I claw but couldn't find you there" makes me literally feel the pain of this lover totally destroyed by her feelings
I came here because of The 100... Actually I've been listening to this song since 2015 and I simply love it! I wanna know more about Chelsea Wolfe, I want that people get to know her.
ADORE ❤️ 🎸.... Just ordered Tour Merch from Evi Greed in April to Support Chelsea for her canceled "American Darkness Tour in Europe"... 😘 🌹.. And i still got the 🎫 for her Munich Show at Kammerspiele... 😪... No Live Music in Germany 2020 Anymore...
I can say with absolute certainty that the dress she is wearing in this video, is the same one she wears on her "Pain is Beauty" album. On the topic of that album, I think that "Sick" and "The Waves Have Come" profoundly capture the image of the album title. Is pain a beauty that is simply defined? Or is it a sad beauty that can't make you look away and feels inevitable?
Ozzy Osbourne, Chelsea Wolfe, Carina Round, Maynard James Keenan, and Trent Reznor. I could imagine th addition of more artists to recreate a project resembling We Are The World. But not so corny!
I really like the Song... the video is also great, but it makes me feel like I am watching some subliminal hypnosis that will turn me into a sleeper agent who assassinates someone as soon as I hear the song playing backwards or something
This crappy video does no justice to one of the best songs ever. Lyrically, it has enough strength to produce a more vivid image of it's meaning. It seems as though the director took no time at all to at least try to take the songwriting into account. Boohoo for you, Chelsea!
You're taking it far too literally. It is intentionally abstract as hell, just evocative in a way that's relevant within the emotional dialogue of the music as it flows. I actually find the video quite beautiful. Timing-wise it is excellently produced and put together. There's so much that's evocative about it in regards to the human condition.
This video is sloppy it tries to say too Mitch through imagery and lands on nothing. Constant changes from wholesomeness of humanity to destruction become wearisome and feel like it is trying too hard to be artistic. Camera angles and foreground focus could have been better in the Room scenes. Not a bad some but this whole things seams like the producers said “Lana Del Rey + Nine INch Nails video”

Okay this is literally me today lol

Exactly.it s so hard to put into words without sounding like a fucken groupie...cuz this goes much deeper then fandom.
She's so underrated it hurts....
Is she underrated tho
I think she's appreciated by right people in right time...
Facts! Ppl wont get it until she's no longer here!
@@pawpaaj the timing has to sync with our experiences.
She creates the best niches 🦂
I fucking love this woman
7+ years and this is still the most underrated 7+ minutes on the internet. Wish she would play this live one day. But I get it...
I just got to see her play this live last night. It was the last song she played and it was perfect.
@@mcove26 omg she played it live?!?!?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
This song is in the 100 i just heard it now and was like wuhhhhh

This sure rips your heart out through your ears.
This brilliantly poetic songstress has shaken me to my absolute core more than once, I can truly say.
This song is what heartbreak feels like… 💔
Always return to this masterpiece ♥️
This is one of my favourite songs. I feel lost in a sea of warm feelings every time I listen to it.

I want to give her a hug. Chelsea is so cool. :)
These lyrics kill me... Every fucking time
+michyrock1 i know. they're just crushingly beautiful. Sometimes i just can't take it. :'-)
The part when she says "I'm searching through faces for someone familiar, I claw and I claw but couldn't find you there" makes me literally feel the pain of this lover totally destroyed by her feelings
Tried to come up with the words to describe this and failed. Quite simply put, this is perfection.
Everything about her is beautiful
Wow this is gorgeous...maximum respect to Mark Pellington and of course Chelsea Wolfe.
Marvelous piece. Breath taking images and sound quality. Chelsea Wolfe you are absolutely astounding!
The songs and film itself is truly beautiful, well directed as well.
Absolutely beautiful!
Chills.
i wish you all a significant solstice and under the light of the great conjunction...it will be ours
Hell yes.
I came here because of The 100... Actually I've been listening to this song since 2015 and I simply love it! I wanna know more about Chelsea Wolfe, I want that people get to know her.
And beauty is beast
The music is amazing!!!
Finally a video for my fav track from Pain is Beauty... that's really touching! Well done! Bravo!
😮this is a cut version
masterpiece! thank you so much
Queria que ela tivesse mais reconhecimento no Brasil.
quem dera ela vir pra cá :/ haha
Seria meu sonho?
nem me fale! já pensou ela cantando aqui?!!
Essa música me deixa triste, mas esquenta meu coração ao mesmo tempo
I need to manage how deeply I fall in love with this woman over and over...
...without stopping it...
. incredible .
Cool video!
I've heard of Pellington, I liked that middle age crisis movie he did.
kinda Haunting but beautiful :)
Why did they cut out the '...waves have come and taken you to see..' verse?? It's the penultimate moment of the song...really don't understand.
... dont mean to sound negative, I love her music and the Lone film is pretty unique and special
Agreed. To me, the cut lines are the most poignant in the entire song. Heartbreaking, really.
I loved the video until this moment. Without this verse it's unacceptable. This actually made feel so sad now :/.
MrACRTGATB To make you feel pain and damn... it was effective.
genius.
these lyrics are so fucking powerful. dark queen
+simplymichii
What do they mean to you?
simplymichii do you have a written lyrics?

holy dionysus
I imagine how it would sounds if Chelsea would do some songs with Mark Lanegan
Ozzy Osbourne, Chelsea Wolfe, Carina Round, Maynard James Keenan, and Trent Reznor. I could imagine th addition of more artists to recreate a project resembling We Are The World. But not so corny!
when is the film coming out? I can't find the release date anywhere :( love this track btw
It's not a theatrical release. You can order a USB of the film from Sargent House
so it's only available on USB?
Krishtie Mofazzal it's on itunes now
thanks!
In love with you since I was born
STOP FUCKING ME UP CHELSEA
or, just, keep doing it forever, I guess. that is also an option.
I'm here from The 100
4 people that didn't like this. i'd like to hear why. great song. too disturbing images?
I love her
I really like the Song... the video is also great, but it makes me feel like I am watching some subliminal hypnosis that will turn me into a sleeper agent who assassinates someone as soon as I hear the song playing backwards or something
Interesting video but I dont see how it captures how amazing the song is. I personally like the video's for Mer and Flatlands alot more.
swarmer I find it pretty moving. All that once was, all that could be... lost and gone away.
I would give my right hand to play drums in one of her projects; but then, my drumming would probably suck. #TotallyWorthIt #fb
Song is good 😊but images are chaotic 😅

seconded.
It's an abstract narrative bro
