You are, without a doubt, the most talented woodworker designer, I have ever witnessed. Your videos are extremely well produced and without a word spoken, you manage to seize our undivided attention until the very end. Congratulations to you. I have a question, what brand of brad and auger bits are you using in your videos ? Thank you for everything. Keep well and raise hell. Sincerely, Dave & The Girls
All over the world really. Hook yourself up with an account to any of the local marketplaces and go to the free section, you're bound to find something.
Haven't collected any in the past few months, but going to be on the lookout for more as I need to put together a headache rack for my Pickup so that I can mount some Ham radio antennas, hazard lights, and the like. This is also a reasonable location to find discarded washing machines for the motors, and if you are looking for some enameled sheet metal for housings, or simply to make up a small white board for project tracking.
Maravilhoso !!!
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at the beginning, but this turned into a very well thought-out and executed build. You've made me want to build my own now. Well done!
All this guy's designs are "very well thought-out and executed builds". For anybody into this kind of woodwork, I consider this channel to be about the best on TH-cam.
Your workmanship and creativeness is thru the roof, I love your videos and all the great ideas you show us that we can use in our lives, thank you fo sharing amigo....Javi G.
I would suggest putting this together with screws instead of glue, that way you can take it apart and get to the wiring if you ever need to do maintenance on it, or make future modifications. Otherwise a great idea, and beautiful precision and workmanship as always.
Just bought my second belt and disk sander. This one works, but you're project reminds me that I should really dig into the first one I bought. I bought it 'as is' and discovered that one of the reasons why it was discounted so heavily is that it literally did fall off a truck, or suffered similar damage, as the entire cast iron frame was broken and or cracked in many places. That said, the motor, bearings and many of the working surfaces are, or should be good. Between this project and Matthias Wandel's belt and disk sander projects I should be able to work out a way to build that back up into something workable. We'll see. It would be good to have a second working belt and disk sander so that I can get more done at different locations w/o having to haul an entire shop's worth of tools back and forth. Thank you for the video.
Amazing repurpose of the washer motor and fantastic, methodical build! Can I ask, that was that small, black electronics box that you cut from the washing machine?
Let it be an example to those who put nonsense music in their videos. It's not about the music, it's about the skill of the master. I hate videos with music.
I have taken motors from old power drills to make a sander, I have toaken motors from Hard disk drives for sanding as well, but thats light sanding. Taken motors from laserjet printers (not sure what to do with those) and now I am going to be on the lookout for washing machine motors.
*The squirrel cage blower inside a dryer can be recycled into a super powerful fume extractor.* I built one from a dehumidifier's squirrel cage blower and while it works well, it's feeble compared to the blower I pulled out of an old dryer. Relative to this, I have a washer motor for high speed arbor that runs giant buffing shanks. I also have a cheap drill press I have a washer motor for that will take it to a much higher level of performance than the stock.

For those in the US, a cheap source of angle iron are bed frames. I find them by the side of the road regularly.

Wonderful drill press you have made

Phenomenal!!!! I love you, man!! 😊 May your health never leave you!! 🤗
One of the nicer disc/belt sander combos we've seen. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Love your work. That is a tremendous amount of torque for a sander.

Awesome, this is a surprising creation that I never thought of. Thanks for your video. Have a nice day.

Otherwise a great idea, and beautiful precision and workmanship as always.
Always amazing to see you reuse and make something incredible
Genius. Love watching you create. Thanks for sharing.
You are a true genius Sir. Bravo !

Awesome video and project.

I guess that it is the start capacitor.
Small, beautiful, compact, very useful… 🙏🏻 Domo Arigato Sensei for this masterpiece.

Thanks for another fine video.

Hola hermoso trabajo gracias por compartir, bendiciones.
There's a good design behind all this. It is not like take a piece of wood and let's go.
Many pieces take hours to design and redesign to be perfect.
Bravo, always a great job!
Great project!!
I very much enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up

Muito excelente esse projeto, parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Great ideas for usefull things
Good job my friend! Is the washing machine motor also capable of being made for a table saw?

20:31 Uses the tool to finish building the tool. Magician 🤯
Genial!!
Great! Now make a washing machine out of a sander!
Awesome .
But I would have considered turning some of this torque into speed with some gear reduction
Very good handcraft! But to realize this you have to have good tools. Not for people with a "normal" or small workshop i think so....
He made a lot of them though...
Very good video.
Five stars your work!
Bravo Mastery...😊😊😊
Tuyệt vời, ý tưởng hay. Sản phẩm rất đẹp và hữu ích ❤😊

Sugoi job! You are #1!
Most excellent! ♥️♥️♥️
Brilliant idea 💡 👏 👌 👍
Nice video, thanks :)
Top Job, Sir 👌
AMAZING !!!!!
Suppar work ❤❤❤
National
Superb as always! A pleasure to watch.
Another beauty
As impressive as all your other projects. @_@
I'm flabbergasted ^_^
Fantastic job as usual! 👍👍
