@@andreszentay7446 Well actually it was a pretty good joke because Supa Hot Rekter is a friend of mine and he plays piano (that's why the comment was over the top) and it's a real coincidence to see him in the comment of this video, I wasn't expecting it. Just that. (Never mind, it's our kind of humor)
It's a good interpretation, but if I have to say something is that he's not keeping that long notes long enough... He just lets them go as if they were staccato or portato
@Jaeden Vaithianathan Pour moi, c' est pas top de tout piquer dans Bach. Personnellement je suis pas fan de jouer trop à la baroque, d 'une manière caricaturale en gros.
I've been having the exact same thought the past few weeks, and was actually going to recommend them to him on his next video (this one). What a coincidence. :p But seriously, these pieces would be perfect for a overhead playing/sheet music video like this one. They would make a great possible series after WTCII. There's such great variety in them too: No.4 in E Minor has such an enigmatic prelude. No.5 in D Major has a gentle prelude and a super joyful, quirky fugue (with a very catchy subject). No.15 in Db Major has a perfect concert prelude; very exciting and bombastic. It's fugue is also very interesting, it's subject acts the same way as Bach's "Wedge" fugue (BWV 548). No.22 in G minor has a cool, mysterious prelude. No.24 in in D Minor is an absolute masterpiece. The prelude and fugue work perfectly together, and both are expertly constructed. With emotions ranging from solemn and dignified, to unbridled passion. It's a perfect capstone for the whole set. This is my favorite interpretation so far: th-cam.com/video/7wNxgM-1DV4/w-d-xo.html That recording has the sheets going along with it, as well as timestamps for each one, so it's a perfect reference video.
I just love your version and interpretation of this..I keep coming back to it for tips and enjoyment. The one I recorded doesnt come close to this perfection, lol! Can you do more P&Fs from Bach?
I have a piece request if at all possible: “The Lark” by Mikhail Glinka. Thank you so much for sharing your playing with us; you’re truly one of my favorites because you play with such passion and make the pieces come alive.
Thank you. Just one observation, I don't know if it is my speakers or your microphone or that's the way your piano is supposed to work, but the higher notes, say from one octave higher than middle C, come out VERY loud indeed and at times that's the only thing you hear. Thank you again for your recording ;)
Merci pour cet outil d'entraînement; j'ai parfois l'impression que la partie jeu / interprétation est en décalage par rapport au défilement de la partition.
amazing. i gave up on the well tempered clavier for now after i couldn't succeed for the life of me to play any piece except the first one as well as i wanted to....
Hey Paul! Great performance as always. I would like to make a suggestion: Rachmaninoff's arrangement of the Gavotte from Bach's Violin Partita nº3 BWV 1006. Thanks in advance!
@@adamnagy1832 I disagree. In Baroque period it was normal to leave out ornamentation to allow for the performer to add in ornaments. I'm not saying he HAS to add ornamentation, but just because there is no excessive ornamentation doesn't mean Bach did not intend it.
Great a good tip would be to pedal between the repeated chords int he first theme for less separation, also the first two mordants are four note mordants but the last two should be three note mordants, the way to pick which is to find which one’s starting note provides dissonance with the harmony. Just something I learned when studying this piece with my piano professor of Juilliard. Love your elephant playing videos very peaceful!

There is no any F bemol in measure 17 but I see one in measure 26, and other in 27 for m. In fact there are some dissonances in this prelude that I don’t know where Bach got from. I know, he took from his mind, but are “insane” Those G bemol, F bemol, C bemol , D natural in the measures 24, 25, 26, and two chord progression at least in the prelude, by the way, one is this of the measures I quoted but it started some measures before. The other is related to this one but in opposite direction. They seem have elements of chromatic progression plus circle of fifths, but are very odd, in the good meaning of this word.
