I have never seen such an amazing host to travellers. He is eloquent, well informed n hospitable. The homestay rate 3$ (~210 ₹) is unbelievable that too with a.c, free bike, water heater, kitchen to cook!!! O MY GOD!
I think my home would cost me more, than they are offering as business

These brothers have typical missionary brainwashing about India as they told about LGBT rights, as an ex christian, i can openly say that it was the CHURCH and the MOSQUE which prevented LGBT rights in India up until 2010, where as the so called 'Hindutva' parties never had an issue on it. There were absolutely no issue with such groups in India historically as they were employed in temples and courts of kings, but all sorts of gender segregation was started by the British and the Church

@@kaypee4704 if it is a metropolitan city, then probably 1000 Indian Rupees per night. It won't be a 5 or 7-star hotel though, which cost 3x times this cost. It would be 2, 3-star motel kind of stay. Usually these options are not that attractive for a hygiene-conscious Western world citizen, so they prefer the 5-star stays that at least cost 2-3K per night. If you are not very tight on budget, you need not think about these options unless you are okay with the standard of living. If it is a non-metro city or town, then you may find liveable options for half the cost of the ones in metros.

I Have being to Agra about 5 times. My mouth waters when I think of "Agra Petha". Agra has the finest leather goods for sale. Talking of Agra you must see the world's wonder on a fool moon night. The world-famous "Taj - Mahal-the symbol of love" was built by king Sha-Jahan in 1631 in memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaz- mahal & the poor king was put under house arrest by his son at Agra -fort. Agra fort too is a beautiful fort where the king could gaze at his wife's tomb, from a window.

@@THE_RIE_GUY Maybe! But I would like to accept the historical evidence supported by the Indian Government that the Tajmahal was built by Sha Jahan until the Court makes a ruling. I am aware of the theory proposed by the historian P.N.Oak. According to him the original name of the Taj Mahal was “Tejo Mahalay” and it was built by the Hindu ruler Jai Singh I.& Taj Mahal was originally a Shiva Temple. The Indian Government says, it has no evidence to suggest that the Taj Mahal was originally a Hindu Temple, in fact in the year 2000, Supreme Court disallowed the proposed claim. So, my friend, I am only an ardent admirer of the beautiful monument, if you have evidence to the contrary, you are free to take up the matter with the Indian Government.

Please add Bangalore, Kerala and Goa to your itinerary. You will never be disappointed. This quaint home stay in Agra is really a very cozy place that one should definitely try it out. The hosts were very eloquent, polite, informative, accommodating and most importantly very very humble. All these qualities in them is a rarity and may their tribe too increase. The owner of the guesthouse is Christian. Christians are usually well mannered and ethical. The guy was helpful, articulate and upfront.

Fatehpur Sikri to get there is so much hassle especially the bus that take you to the actual sikri palace and shrine..... but sure Davud you wouldn't mind since you are gonna be around.

The cultural heritage of the Kathmandu Valley is illustrated by seven groups of monuments and buildings which display the full range of historic and artistic achievements for which the Kathmandu Valley is world famous. The seven include the Durbar Squares of Hanuman Dhoka (Kathmandu), Patan and Bhaktapur, the Buddhist stupas of Swayambhu and Bauddhanath and the Hindu temples of Pashupati and Changu Narayan.
