I owned this and spent a lot of money (new turbo, all new suspension etc) it had been left in a storage yard with a window down in winter so it was in a state… anyway with several other projects on the go it went to WB where you got it from i’m pleased its still around 👍👍👍
@@OnceDrivenForeverSmitten so did you fit the blue subframe polybushes that came with the car? they make a hell of a difference and only need doing once!
Nice to know EBC are made in the UK. Just looked on the website - "EBC Brakes are made in one of its two specialist factories in the UK and USA. The majority of EBC brake discs or brake rotors are also made in the UK."
9-5 Aero estate, an absolute weapon. Your videos are not only entertaining but extremely useful too. Thanks !! Think I’ll be replacing the O rings on the dipstick on Sovvagn. Thanks for this, Looks easy enough. Love the Fiesta « up your arse » As you say « see you later mate » 😂😂😂 All the joy of a 9-5 Aero 👌
Simply Saab on the Reg plate. Been down in here at Bristol at some point. They were our biggest customer when I worked at the Saab dealer in Bristol 20 years ago.
Good stuff Dougie, well done on sticking with it and getting that oil leak solved. Your man might have got hos MOT Testers Licence but he needs to brush up on the yard manoeuvring 'donk'
You need to stop buying cars that i get attached to. I always thought of the Omega as top dog estate car on your fleet but this too is a beast. You've created a great all weather mile muncher with all the work too.
This would be a good car for the Auto Shenanigans (Motorways) youtube channel if you ever moved it on. His own Saab saloon usually appears in the background & has become part of the channel’s street scape furniture. Nice to watch a ‘saved’ video, I’ve had a similar experience tracking down rare parts for a car far & wide.
It’s great to see The Saab 9-5 back on the channel, glad to hear it’s now in good usable condition. Happy New Year to you, Kenzo, Bob, and your family Dougie, I’m looking forward to more exciting content this year❤.
Hi Dougie,I like SAABs but they are a bit troublesome, plus, you have to hunt around for spares nowdays.I'll stick with my humble Vectra A (C18NZ).Best wishes for 2024,be happy, healthy and safe.
Hey mate, i just bought a ng 93 aero soft top 2 days ago thanks to your videos now you've uploaded another what a way to finish of the year, all the best for the new year Dougie ❤
Nice one on identifying the oil leak in the end. Glad you are getting on with it so well now. Saab seats make 100 mile journeys feel like only ten. Good to see an endorsment for Mannol oil, I was initially wary of it as I hadn't heard of the name before. Its great value though, 5L of 5/30 or 5/40 for just over £11 delivered from ebay. All the best for 2024 👍
The 9-5 Aero is a phenomenal car when it's on song, but can be a terrible tit-spanner when it isn't, especially given that many spares for the 9-5 are these days either tricky to find or are NLA. I'm glad that I had the chance to own one as a daily driver for several years. By the way, when's the next T&D podcast coming out? I was introduced to the podcast by my online pal Niall Barkley a couple of months ago and listened to the whole run while tramping around the country. Excellent listening.
really odd to hear you say that. i completely rebuilt my 9-5 and have not found a single thing I could not source from multiple places in us or Sweden or UK....just bought every suspension bushing. DIC might be a little bit harder but can be found.
I think I'd drain and reuse an old oil filter rather than a cheap crappy fake Crosland from Halfords..... Wiith all those oil leaks I'd suspect the engine of overpressuring, crankcase vent blocked or blowby.. ?

I mentioned you at the start and the work done before I got it

Great to see the Saab Again Dougie and a great little tinkering video, it really is a gem on the fleet.
This year saw me back in a 90s Vauxhall after 10 years. All under the influence of this channel! 😂
Look forward to 2024's adventrues.

The Saab 9-5 saloon launch was 1997. The combi was released in 1999.
Happy New Year Scottie, may your channel go from strength to strength in 2024.
You sounded just like me there, when i fix something. 'FIXED IIIT'. Apparently i say that all the time haha.
Nice car. What happened about the front bumper at the end? Any damage?
Always good to see you work on the fleet; happy new year!!
Great watching
