It’s good to catch up with the Omega again, it is an amazing example, there can’t be many, if any as good as that one with such low mileage. Great video, as always Dougie❤.
Nice one Dougie, Actuator mode on Tech 2 is a great tool (that laptop does it aswell) the only thing is to test the coil properly is do the test using Test spark plugs - these have a crocodile clip to earth them and the spark plugs have a huge electrode gap- the huge gap simulates compression from the engine (compression increases resistance)
Great video. There is not enough use of the word lest nowadays. Huge progress on the Astra. That 2.0 sounds great. Can't wait to see how it drives. Good that the Omega is sorted too. I think it remains my fleet favourite although I'm quite fond of the Corsa too
Cant wait to see and hear the Astra being given the beans once the better weather arrives......its gunns be a great all round and comfy car. Youve said in the past that youve often binned the ABS off on Cavaliers so surprised youve kept it on the Astra or is it a better system than the Cavs had?
It's the later system.. It all works properly so I opted to retain it. I could have kept it on Le Cav TBH but I used all the brake system off FAB. Taking the 288s off next week and going back to 256 discs and the pedal is soft on the big brakes
Imho they are night and day. Got them on a little fiat panda FWD and when weve had bad ice snd snow its flown past 4wd cars that are clearly on the wrong rubber while spinning away their power....yes definitely sold on proper snow tyres even uphills. I went for Vredensteins.
That must have been miserable. I didn't know the V6 eats coil packs so frequent as the shitty Ecotecs. (Our Corsa C had its 3rd coil pack installed at a little over 200000 km and we were told we are lucky)

Love the Omega mate, after FAB it was my favourite of the fleet. Glad she`s back running healthy, although taking a back seat to the new SAAB :(
The Astra looks great with the Diplomat's wheels :)
It's sooooo nice to see these old Vauxhall still living, would love a v6 omega estate or a mk3 astra estate just so hard to find now
Great progress Dougie well done.
Great video as always Dougie.

I like the progress on the Volkswagen Astra estate. The new alloys really suit it.
Can't wait until the next videos buddy
Tons of work going on Dougie 💪😎
I'm liking that Astra estate. You want to swap for a project Zafira gsi with z20leh engine 😅
I'd love to be able to do stuff like that. Great job! 👍 I'll stick to struggling with wiper blades 😂

Another great video has always Dougie 👍
We need more mk3 Astras on these roads. I'm still looking for a mk3 Astra 8-valve 2.0 SRi Estate to use for my mobile valeting job. No such luck yet.
They're hens teeth. Shame they weren't more popular as there was no Cavalier estate
That back rd down to Blackburn X is a hoot to drive 😂. Did I see you on the essex boys case?
Nice one Dougie! 😊
Mk 5 Belmont 😆
I’ve never seen a Mk 5 saloon before though. Is that a left hand drive, Dougie?
Great video Scottie, not sure how you work in those temperatures though.
With great back pain 😂
Bob wagging her tail 😂
Hi what sort of mileage is high for a petrol engine .
Dougie will we be getting any t shirts in 2024?
Thought they retired the Belmont nameplate with the mk3 Astra?
❤ the omega
Fk me you would think that mot test station.. would sort there pot holes out get some tarmac down.. or some hard core down shocking lol😂
HOW MUCH METAL CAMCOVERS İN UK NOW?
Never knew a MK 5 Belmont existed, sharp looking car as it happens, got to be rare as rocking horse 💩 are you 5 studing the Astra CDX in the future?
Dougie quick question do winter tyres make much of a difference

Thin cans blanking egr will only last a few weeks!
