    The other day, on my 2nd flight, I managed to get 63 minutes from a 3s 2200 mAh.
    It was super hard and the motor started to pulse, but when I landed I had 3.5 on each cell.
    What a plane, but super nose heavy, so today I ordered a 3s 1300mAh.
    I can only fly on safe until I get a cable so I can unluck AR637TA.
    But I need some ballast I can take on and off when using my 2 2200mAh batteries, AND I have the elevator max trimmed. A bit of a bummer.

      So, do you think added weight will be needed if I use a 3s 1300 battery. Is there room to move it forward enough to balance. I want to keep this thing as light as possible. Let me know please.

    You can fit a 4S 2200mah without any problem if you just dremel out the battery lid a little bit. The problem is not really the battery but it's the battery cable that hits the lid. Doesn't need much dremeling to make it fit easily. I fly mine on 4S 2000mah all the time. Great plane and very fast if you hit the throttle :-) Going to try your launch technique next time, so thx for the tip with your video :-)

    Nice video yeah gliders don't like to land lol I just picked one up I figure it's going to be a good quick chuck glider for getting quick flights in after work

    My Conscendo Evolution needs meanwhile a complete replacement of all servos. The original are very cheap and last worked about a year, then they begun to fail. I have all replaced by metal gear servos.

      Yeah the stock eflite servos aren’t the best. Metal gear servos are a great upgrade!

      The Radiomaster TX16s. Amazing radio that’s what we use it’s multi protocol so it can bind up to just about anything. Seems everyone is moving to EdgeTX vs OpenTx. So get the Radiomaster with EdgeTx installed.

    I got one of these planes recently and it's fun to fly. I have set the C of G according to the manual but with the 2200 3S battery as far back as possible, an amount of up-elevator set in manually, trimmed out to max and with a small piece of lead at the tail it still wants to come down slowly on the nose all the time and I have to fly with some back pressure all the time! Any thoughts on what can I do?

    • @UngluedModeler
      @UngluedModeler  āļ›āļĩāļ—āļĩāđˆāđāļĨāđ‰āļ§ +1

      Hmmm interesting. Is the nose wanting to drop at all throttle settings? Even high throttle settings?

      @@UngluedModeler Sorry, should have explained a little better. Typically after a hand-launch, I climb with quite a bit of throttle and some up elevator to get to a good height, then cut the throttle. It's when gliding it has this tendency to drop on the nose.

    • @UngluedModeler
      @UngluedModeler  āļ›āļĩāļ—āļĩāđˆāđāļĨāđ‰āļ§ +2

      Ahhh ok. That sounds completely normal for any plane really. With zero throttle the nose will drop. With low throttle to maintain level attitude you will need up elevator applied. If you’re plane is setup with a neutral CG it should stay level at a medium throttle setting and should climb with a higher throttle setting. That is with a neutral CG. Now if you want this plane to act more like a glider and catch thermals very easily you will need to shift the CG AFT. With this plane and the small battery compartment to achieve an aft CG you will need to drop that battery size down to maybe 1500 mah or 1000 mah. I added some lead weight to my tail also with a 2200 mah to balance out but I wouldn’t want to add more lead to the tail to achieve an aft CG scenario with that 2200 mah. I would rather make the battery smaller decreasing nose weight. Try getting that CG aft and you’ll see it climb VERY easily on its own with minimal effort and thermal activity. Don’t go too aft too quick. Too much aft CG and it will be very hard to control. Start small

      I use an 1800 4S and it balances perfectly with the same flight time as the 2200 3S but more power and speed if you want that too.
