Good afternoon Nick .... beautiful grounds and buildings, really funky vibes going on there with lots of innovative bits n bobs..lol I prefer more authentic rustic look... have a great weekend
Those Italian Cypresses along the road makes me think of , well Rome, haha. In Italy🤷♀️. I really love that look! And the stone houses are so picturesque, too. What’s not to love on these lovely tours!?! Thanks for another great mini vacation, Nick.
I loved all the modern conveniences such as updated ac & heating. Also the grounds were beautiful, and that kitchen was extraordinary, so up to date though small, I could enjoy cooking there. On the downside too modern & sterile for my tastes, but a person could furnish differently & make their own space. I enjoyed seeing this house, thanks for sharing. I always look forward to watching your tours on Saturdays. Have a great weekend.
Beautiful property Nick.Amaizing and stunning garden with view. Lovely pool. I say it before, that I don´t like the combination of modern desing in a old house, but in this case may be posible. May be. I love the main kitchen, gorgeous. The bathrooms and sauna have an interesting desing. the second house lovely. Thank you Nick for show this property. Havea Nice weekend
I've just started on the back catalogue, and wow, came across this beauty right away. WOW. Bordering on absolute perfection. The juxtaposition of old and new was stunning. The rustic stone house with all the modern amenities inside is exactly what I picture in my dream house (some day I'll build it, I swear!). The kids level upstairs, the sleek, modern (easy to clean, is what my wife would say) kitchen, that massive fireplace and the entire floor dedicated to a master suite was amazing. The guest house, rustic throughout, and the grounds dotted with Cypress, were more than you could expect at that price. The view totally knocks it out of the park. The only complaint I could possibly make is that the living room furniture didn't make the room for me.. and that's the easiest fix in the world! Keep finding more of these, Nick! Great job!
Beautiful Grounds...lovely stone exterior... great sliding doors for the top floor bathroom... great weathered doors for the heater room... Thank you Nick!
Thank you very much my friend. your work is excellent. You travel us to a wonderful world full of beauty and romance of an older era. I wish you success in everything you create. Greetings from Greece...
I so look forward to seeing you and your videos, Nick. It's like visiting an old friend. House and grounds are lovely but the interior doesn't appeal. We're all different! I felt the soul had been stripped from the house, but I'm sure someone will love it! You're the best !
Love your tours your personality is amazing. Just enjoy these videos so much thank you again for taking the time I know it’s your business but the enthusiasm that you bring to. It is breathtaking.
It’s a really great location. From the outside it’s just what we’ve been searching for. It’s a nice kitchen. Unfortunately it just feels that much of the character has been removed. Cement floors just don’t feel warm and welcoming. On the other hand you’ve shown us yet another beauty. Thanks Nick! Bob
It's so easy to add colour to the concrete, it seems silly not to. I love concrete but it doesn't need to be bland- I've even added colour with a mortar bag and once smoothed it looks like marble.
@@raymondoscaff it’s not on our website yet. Send us an email. info@abodeitaly.com and I can send you further information on Monday. Best wishes, Nick.
Hi Nick ! Well where do I start ? Love the outside! It’s fabulous 💜 But my personal opinion is they destroyed the inside🙁 It’s lost all the History & Character it’s soooooo beautiful from outside! then just made me sad when you walked in 🙁 I mean really why wouldn’t you want to keep what I can only imagine what were the beautiful floors and the painted stairs I just really think that would have looked great in a newer house but not in this house I think the beauty & charm are lost 😞 Sorry for all the emoji’s can’t wait for your next video! Have A Great Day Nick !!!!!
Hey Nick great to see you again, it's been a while hasn't it??.? This home is lovely and the light is outstanding imo! Crazy in love with the outside and pool, fantastic Paula in uk x
The outside garden is gorgeous Nick! Such a wonderful view! The inside is not my cup of tea as they say. It has a more cold feeling to it and lacks privacy in the bathroom areas with all those glass doors. It is clear to see though that owner spared no expense to fixing to their taste. The quality is obvious. Thanks Nick for taking us with you on this rummage! It was a lot of fun to watch!
I think the property is gorgeous. I love the Italian cypress. The interior is beautiful and well designed, but l still prefer the warmth of old-world design. It makes me feel cozy on a cold night.
This is one very stylish house owned by a photographer? The personal touches are very warm and welcoming certainly well suited to a young family living there permanently. I loved it 🥰 although it’s way out of my budget sadly …. that and I’m not young 😁
I liked the kitchen and the structure but the rest I just didn't get. I like the restored homes that look sort of medieval but have modern bathrooms and heat. The landscaping was gorgeous. Thanks Nick.
Hmmmm🤔 Love old stone buildings and what a great view. Im afraid I didnt get the 'feels' like id hoped I would. I promise I tried hard Nick, I did love the concrete floor and the massive fireplace. Thank You. ❤🇦🇺🦘
Hey Mr. Nick--nice to be able to put your face with your voice!! Beautiful property!! Do have a question, though, on keeping all that ivy on the walls. Does it not tend to eat into any mortar and harm the integrity of the walls? I prefer more traditional designs but this modern perspective has some beauty in it. Just a gorgeous property with lots of space!
Hi Happy Traveller, Thank you for your comment. It can be a problem if you leave it. Needs to be cut back every year. Sunday morning job before a class of Chianti. Best wishes, Nick.
The grounds, trees, outside of the home , the bathrooms, kitchen and basement are awesome!! But a little bit of an eclectic mix of traditional and modern would have been even better.
A good way to acclimatise to good Italian weather from Tuscany downwards is to pitch up in Milan, it's rather like Manchester for the rain but it's easy to escape to the sun.
Starck furniture - and modernist interior is so refreshing vs. The chintz and faux traditional that dominates these kind of properties. We have renovated our own Umbrian farmhouse in the same 20th century design style precisely to modernise the ideas of what these places CAN look like.
Thanks Cassandra, I don’t know that area very well. Email me your requirements, if you want, info@abodeitaly.com and I can make a couple of phone calls for you. Best wishes, Nick.
No puedo acostumbrarme a un estilo con otro me cuesta trabajo romper con lo establecido cuando hay una historia ya escrita, pero como todo, el gusto se rompe en géneros es como revolver chile, mole y pozole .
I live at about the same height above sea level as Cortona but further to the south, close to Rome. It certainly snows here but not in the way someone in the USA say would understand. We get a "heavy" snow covering every 3 years or so and by heavy I mean 3 or 4 inches... Che Vita.
Lovely house, thoroughly stunning and good location Nick. Wonder if you might expand a little on your observations about the "legality" of rooms/roofs etc. I know it's a difficult one for non-residents but there are so very many houses in Italy that are not perfectly in order (though yours seem to have next to no issues), many abroad possibly won't understand the issues and the often very limited consequences of not regularising things with the local council/comune. David.
The house is incredibly well done but the ambience to me felt more like a slightly sterile showcase for expensive modern art-style furnishings and pretentious but impractical architectural choices, than a home that a family could comfortably live in. In the main house for example, although the focal fireplace is amazing, the actual space for a living room is exceedingly minimal and what space there is would be difficult to furnish. There didn't seem to be an obvious Master bedroom although all bedrooms were of reasonably good size, particularly on the 2nd floor (which I believe Europeans call the 1st floor). The glass doored bathrooms were interesting but in reality I suspect a major percentage of people would prefer a set up offering more privacy. I would liken the effect of this home to an innovative furniture or fashion show which might gain their designers notoriety, but is not for actual use by conventional people living remotely conventional lives. I did rather like the guest house overall and the pool area. I appreciate you presenting this property however as I find variety in layout and décor is always interesting even if only to generate discussion and provoke different ways of viewing living spaces. Thank you as always.
I have to say I love the house and it's beams, floors and ceilings, but all that modern plastic furniture literally hurts my eyes. Dare I say it seems sacrilegious to me😬
The grounds and exterior are beautiful... fantastic views, sadly the interior just doesn't do it for me. Whomever did the interior design is skilled at their craft but it just does not marry well with the overall feel of the property. The concrete floors are misplaced... just don't fit. I've not the slightest doubt that this property will sell to the right buyer. As always, I enjoy your vids Nick... keep up your great work😊
Actually works quite well inside, not sure about a lot of that furniture, but thats not the house. 1.7mil seems a bit high, knock the 1 off and I would be interested.
I love the design. I would, however, add more color and comfort with furnishings. Rugs for those floors to start. I have dogs so concrete is actually an excellent choice. The guest house gives one a glimpse of how contemporary can be "warmed" up. Being a creature of comfort, the central heating and cooling are simply cherries on top! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous. Huge thumbs up on this one.
obviously a second house..feels like it's not recently lived in... (in the past 20 yrs)..IS the dami k y still alive or were they all lost in some "underground facility"? it's a bit odd that whole France, portugal and italy I s for sale
New and improved opening and introduction; location, preview, purpose and we get to see you ! Price made clear at the end. Well noted and appreciated ! Jerry
I almost couldn’t finish the vid my eyes were so offended. It looked like those people were in the lacquered cabinet business. Which Is fine !!! Until you try to sell a ruin. I despise ANY decor that doesn’t speak to the house. 1 feature of the modern would have worked per room. My soul - my eyes were offended.
Sorry Nick, I Know design is subjective but I struggle to see the design, its just a mismatch of so called trendy bits - a beautiful house in a great location ruined.
