A nirgun gīt/bhajan [Going to the in-laws' home is a metaphor for
moving to the next stage of existence/nonexistence, i.e., dying.]
As sung by Ustād Yusūf Khān
    0. (Refrain) Āj sāvaliyā (sāvariyā) sasur ghar jānā, sasur ghar jānā. (4)
Today beloved, you're going to the in-laws' home (to meet your maker)
    1. Chunarī pahinā ke, piyā (priyā) se milengī sai’yā; piyā se milengī. (2)
Tumho jātur sai (se) ānā, tumho jātur sai (se) ānā. (Āṛāūī)
Sasur ghar jānā, sasur ghar jānā. (Refrain)
This scarf (body) you wore is gone but we will meet again, beloved.
You will become enlightened (will be made aware of all this).
You're going to the in-laws' home (going to meet your maker).
    2. Jo ab dāg lagī, chunarī me`(men); jo ab dāg lagī, chunarī me`. (2)
Tum ko mālik ke tānā, tum ko mālik tānā.
Sasur ghar jānā, sasur ghar jānā. (Refrain)
The scarf (body) has now become stained, there are stains in it now.
The Master gave to you this body (and it was originally stainless).
You're going to the in-laws' home (going to meet your maker).
    3. Kahatā Kabīr, nirgun padā hai; nirgun padā hai. (2)
Samajh samajh rehā jānā, samajh samajh rehā jānā.
Sasur ghar jānā, sasur ghar jānā. (Refrain)
Kabir Das says: He is formless, He is without attributes.
Try to understand this (you must understand this).
You're going to the in-laws' home (going to meet your maker).
    .

This is the original by Yusuff Khan?? What year was this released? I only ask because I know Kanchan's version on the LP Kaise Bani was from 1982. Harry Mahabir & BWIA Orchestra had a sweet instrumental version of this on an album called "Come Fete With Us" from 1982- Windsor Records.
