I owned a Gozzard 37, for 7 years and than bought a Gozzard 44. Mike makes a world class boat that sails great. His cockpits are very large and extremely comfortable. They are fun to sail.

If by not functional you mean it is designed to sail safely anywhere in the world then sure.
The only thing missing was the main sheet traveler. Looks more like a liveabord than an open ocean cruiser. Sorry, I will be going with Pacific Seacraft 44.
I like Gozzard boats
Sleeping is an issue. This is a couples only boat. It is a pain in the ass to set and reset the forward saloon. This boat says ... no thank you we don’t want guests.

I don't think it is that big a deal. Yes, it is primarily for couples but that's why I like it. Beautiful boat for a cruising couple.
@@tedunguent156 at some point a boat is resold and these do not hold value, that is one issue. I always thought the boat is beautiful but I spoke with owners and most later preferred a conventional interior arrangement.
@@eddieohearn17 As with cars, trucks, etc. I think resale "value" is a come-on for the makers/dealers. Obviously this boat does not appeal to the majority. That is why it's resale value is independent of the majority. It will always have high "resale" value in it's limited market appeal. But, more importantly, is the condition of the boat at time of sale, of course.
@@tedunguent156 you thinking is wrong. Resale value is very important and when it is discovered that the value is far below what the owner had hope to recoup .... . I have work in the boating industry for decades and resale value is always number one to the owner and to potential buyers unless the plan is to turn the boat into and artificial reef.
