Sum of currents zero means the same current driven from both sides for that same potential is needed,if it is so there is no flow of current..i.e, current flows whenever potential difference exist between two points..it's basic concept about current.. And at a point same currents are entering due to different circuit parameters like R,L,C ( so that potential difference is different due to drop in the respective elements) and at point(i.e node) the currents will flow through the other line depends on which direction the potential is higher....( Just concider T model at middle point here the diversion takes place...on which direction?? It's depends which side sources are heigher potential like the way..) hope u understand
