If you think he's dead he's not, and if you think you're safe from KO punch because you threw him offstage with it he's already behind you. Peanut went hard for a long time to be "the Little Mac that gets back up," and that Art of Recovery is what gives him those last, desperately-needed K.O.'s

However, you’ve proven to me that Mac is not just a character my brother doesn’t have to lose hope on, he’s a character that actually has air game. Thank you for dissecting little mac.

I still remember literally years ago being taught to throw mac up rather than back because he’s deceptively hard to edgeguard but with all of the neutral b landing I don’t even see that working well either

DK & Bowser being worse is propaganda from their players. As both of their recoveries have more protection with either armor of a better disjoint.

Eh, Little Mac actually has issues beyond his recovery. His air moves, while fast-ish, are incredibly stubby and low damage. His air drift is still pretty garbo, and a lot of his grounded normals are also fairly stubby(though much less stubby than his air moves), allowing Mac to get outspaced. Don't get me wrong, Mac would be far better if he didn't require advanced tech to have an average recovery, but he has other weaknesses.
@@ryan_raus A lot of things would have to change to make his recovery "godlike", as recovery at this level is far more than just the distance and height you get off your jump and special moves. To reach "godlike" recovery you also need high drift speed to help recover from being launched up and strong aerials to contest edgeguard attempts.
Come to think of it, Mac has so many recovery options (Up B, Neutral B, Down B, Side B, Double Jump, Air Dodge, His aerials, KO Punch, and Moving normally)
The problem is what mac players have to practice to recover is what a noob can do with any other characters recovery, mac has options but every other character in the roster have better options
