- This is the Ford Puma ST. A feisty family car or a bit of fluffy statement? Under the bonnet of Ford Puma ST, we have a 1.5 L, 3 cylinder turbo petrol engine which pumps 200 hp and 200 Nm of torque and it is the very same engine that we have in Fiesta ST. But is it enough to call the Puma ST a sporty crossover? Time to find out!

These videos are filmed very well, also great editing and overall very well produced, Anna you are also a natural presenter! The video production is right up there with top TV & magazine productions, in fact these are better than some more professional with big budgets, Keep up the good work Anna and the team.

A great review Anna. This car was not even on my radar till seeing your review, needless to say it is now. It looks like you had some fun driving it for this review. This will be one on my test drive list when I consider changing my current car. It certainly seems to be a drivers car with this manual version. Cool colour too.

Great video. Just the right length of time to cover whatever is interesting and relevant of the car, and Anna does a great job at presenting it. I've order this very mad green one already. I am keeping it 12 months in a renting scheme in Germany. Can't wait to go pick it up whenever is ready!

Sporty and fun, but functional and practical--kinda like our favorite driver/presenter. : ) I think the Puma would sell very well in North America if they released it here.
America wasn't too happy with the Fiesta as it was too small and the Puma is smaller on the inside bar height.
Its a lifted Fiesta but smaller on the inside, the Fiesta didn't sell in the US don't see why the Puma would. Unless people buy it just because it has an SUV label which convinces them its bigger, even if it isn't.
I went for the 2 door Fiesta ST instead, may look at one of these next 🤔 love the way you concentrate on the important things, such as what it's like to drive 😊

Great review Anna. When I first saw the new Puma I was disappointed and it’s not a Puma as the old one was a 3 door coupe. But seeing the Puma in the flesh I got to say I really really like them but the ST looks brilliant especially in that green. With Ford’s know for there handling. I bet it’s great to drive. Why is it that you can’t get these cool little cars in the US? I have a Ford Ecosport and the Puma looks so similar to it inside, but the fact that the 1.5L comes in stick is awesome. I miss it too! Looks like a fun kick around town car. Thanks Anna!! Again, great back seat and good singing at the end!! 😃
Eco Sport...the Hammered together SUV made in India! The Puma is actually smaller inside than the Eco, the Puma was based on the Eco to make it more hip.
@@hoop5824 I kind of figured that cause the interior looks almost exactly the same and they are using the same 1.5L engine in the lower models of the Ecosport, but with the manual they use in Europe and South America.
@@thestonetable If you actually see the Puma parked beside a Fiesta you would be very disappointed, the Puma gives you the impression it is big, but actually it really isn't much bigger than a Fiesta, in fact it is pretty much the same lenght of a Fiesta and the slopping roof makes it look even smaller. You just gain a bit more height and the fact you can now buy a Fiesta Active that has a higher ride, you're not gaining much, plus the feet space in the Puma is less than in the Fiesta, don't ask me how Ford managed it, but they did?

You cannot propose a choice between fun or fluff ! Fun is synonymous with fluff !! Admittedly too much fluff can spoil the fun, BUT ! , just a little fluff, kept under control, is totally acceptable and adds to the sense of occasion, which , if the chassis is well tuned, inevitably leads to a lot of fun !! . 😉.

It's a small and fiery car I see in your video. in Sweden, no Ford Pumpa north of Uppsala is sold. This is probably because small cars are not popular north of Uppsala, as they are not really good long-distance cars,

The USA has Bronco and F150 Lightning. Don't think Europe is getting those. But those vehicles are quite large and heavy. I am looking for something more petite. Until now, Mach E fits the bill quite well. But they are not available with the spec I want nearby.

Good question Andrea, the Puma ST is one of a kind, but I would say the closest (to the ones I have driven that is) would be VW T Roc R. T Roc however is comfier and we have a DSG gearbox. So really depends what you prefer.

Anna… why don’t they sell so many Interesting cars that are sold in Europe? I never understood that. Years ago, when I spent time in London and Italy, I always saw so many American based companies that had their European counterpart sell amazing cars over there and they still do it and they are denied the American market. It never makes any sense to me. The price isn’t to expensive for this ST. Do you know why they don’t offer them here? Thanks!!

Another Ford we don't get in the USA..... that country that the Ford Motor Company's headquarters is in.
Kinda shocking considering it is a subcompact crossover, which has seen growth in the recent years.

You would have to call it Kermit in this colour.
It might be sporty and fun to drive. It does have an Ecoboost 3 Cylinder Engine though & they are known to be bad engines.

The problem is the basic Puma is expensive to start with, so a tarted up version is going to be way out of its league! Then Ford imports it to Ireland and it costs €49,000...it's BMW or Audi money!
Ford marketing department is .... well lets just say useless . There is literally no reasson to buy a Ford Puma ST , when you can get a Ford Focus ST - manual or auto for CHEAPER! i mean its pretty much ..... the most retarded marketing ever . Focus is bigger/faster .... cheaper .... i mean why exactly ... why do i want a crossover thats frontwheel drive SPORT .... ???
@@alexandrunicolaemarin7768 I know the reason why the Puma came about, some customers want a SUV type of vehicle and someone at Ford said let's build a small entry level cheap SUV and it all went wrong from there! You can buy a Puma (gapping mouth frog) or buy a Nissan Cashcow that is the daddy of the SUV's for not much more money! How did Ford think this was a good idea? If it stayed at a certain price level it would have kept a lot of young girls happy who couldn't afford a Cashcow, but NO!
Real world average fuel comsumption is more like 7.5l/100km and my foot is most of the time going down 😅
