I was embarrassed for the band, Phoenix fest in 1993 and 1995 they headlined the Saturday night, then in 1997 they got chucked on the Sunday aftrenoon underneath fucking TEXAS. As somebody said before, the FNM guys hate the song "Epic". It was an experiment that accidently started the rap/rock trend They never wanted to be remembered for it. However, they're going to have to play it live. That's just the way it is.
when you slap the bass strings with your palm, listen to we care a lot, anne's song or falling to pieces, thats only a few but they have slap bass in them. if you've heard higher ground by the chili's, that bass riff at the start and throughout, that's slap bass

As much as I dislike the guy, Patton is legendary. He would never get a bottle thrown at him...and even if he did he'd probably just do some crazy shit that disgusts and disturbs the audience as he has been prone to do in the past.
It's ironic kinda ironic that probably the worst song in their catalog was their biggest hit. If they do come to the U.S. I won't miss this song if they don't play it.
