Not even close. For hard rock, I'd take Ronnie James Dio or even Sammy Hagar over this guy. Blues? SRV, Ray Charles, almost an endless list. Lemme know what other genre, and I can give you 3 better than this guy. In fact, I think he's overrated.
Vh1 did a special years ago..it was called " The most Influential bands of all time " FNM came up time and time again. Out of 100 bands asked who had the most Influence on them. Around 45 of them said FNM..That is how important FNM have been In the world of music.
Ever have one of those songs that remind you of someone and a time in your life? This is one for me. I was in Taiwan, met a lady before i traveled there, and was going back to her when I returned. Was in a hotel in Xindian, her and I were texting (this was back around 2010), and she sent me a pic. Holy canoli.....that girl could push my buttons. Was watching this vid while we were conversing....best thing about this song....alas, those days are gone....
music will never be the same without all these bands from the 80's and early 90's man they were the days metallica, faith no more, gunners, soundgarden, acdc they were the days.
I was at this gig (showing my age I know) only went because Faith No More were playing. My sympathies go out to anyone who never saw this band live. ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST BAND EVER!!!
A fucking great band! Great two last albums, great music, sound, lyrics, and image, they never sold out, they were excentric and intelligent at the same time.
I just love this band, more than any other. I first fell in love in the early 90's when they were supporting Guns n Roses on their Use Your Illusion tour. I remember standing near the front getting knocked about by the crowd and I just had this moment of clarity - this was the music that I had been searching for. I'm nearly 38 now and I still feel exactly the same - this is my favourite band of all
Saw these boys in 92' at The Warfield in San Fran....never forget that show...I was spinning like a freakin Mo Fo!! Pit was the schznit!! Patton was in rare form, dickin with bungle voices in the faith no mo line up...it rocked!!!
I am a huge fan of Death Metal, as I am fan of bands such Death (Schuldiner's band), Suffocation, Broken Hope or Morbid Angel, etc, I am fan of Faith No More. They've changed and saved my life six years ago. Epic. A thousands apologies if my english is bad (shit, sure it is) I'm from Argentina, long live FNM and thanks father for show me this amazing band in one of your videotapes, wherever you are in heaven
With the first few notes it’s still a miracle they recognize this song from the bass part in epic. But then again that’s why his bass parts are truly out of this world. Not to mention mike Patton’s voice live is always spotless
Jim Martin is sorely missed. He's the best they had. Trey, Menta and Hudson, all good guitarists, but Martin had that something special that suited FNM perfectly.
I've been checking these all out. So true, Billy rocks SO HARD & yet you can get behind him. Like rocking out is that easy! He really is a big part of the "glue" that makes this a masterpiece of cooperation! VERY underated. But he's having fun, so like he cares!!! That's rock n' roll!
I watched them in BBK live 2010 (Bilbao) in the 'Come back Tour' and they rock as ever!!! Everyone performed the songs perfectly and Patton is the definitive showman!!!
This is getting old and so are you Everything you know and never knew Will run through your fingers just like sand - Enjoy it while you can - Like a snake between two stones It itches, in your bones Take a deep breath and swallow, your sorrow, tomorrow Raise the cup and let's propose a toast To the thing that hurts you most It's your last cup of sorrow What can you say? Finish it today It's your last cup of sorrow So think of me And get on your way #real people making real music
best singer ever.
this is getting old ... and so am i ;)

Only a kickass band like Faith No More can rock an audience in broad daylight. Without the help of visuals and lights.
THAT'S how a fucking bass guitar should sound!

Mike makes me smile.
its amazing how much the triangle chimes add to the overall effect of the song.

The best live version of the last cup of sorrow version
music will never be the same without all these bands from the 80's and early 90's man they were the days metallica, faith no more, gunners, soundgarden, acdc they were the days.
the bass riff on this track is amazing
this video was uploaded closer to the date of the concert than the upload date is today
easily the most underrated band of all time.
Gotta love bass players
good ones are hard to find, and when you do, hold on to them tight! lol
so diverse so amazing. no one can even come close.

So glad they are back. Blast from the past. This song really brings back memories...
might be the best hidden jem of internet. bassist is the single best of all.

Jon Hudson looks so fucking EPIC in suit and darkglasses. He's a guitarist by day, assassin by night.
Best performance EVER !!!!!
The main riff is completely searing, then the chorus comes and soars...What an awesome song.
Brilliant!! Hard rockin' with a touch of class. One of the greatest bands ever.
god they are so creative. They truly have a sophisticated sound
patton's genius is contagious. everybody who knows him worships him.
Mike Bordin is such an under rated drummer, hes so amazing!
Amazing
laying the fuck down with that bass
With the first few notes it’s still a miracle they recognize this song from the bass part in epic. But then again that’s why his bass parts are truly out of this world. Not to mention mike Patton’s voice live is always spotless
it wouldn't be that FNM without Mike. Great voice, charisma, everything.
Perfect. Just perfect.
4th July in Poland. Dream will be come true.
I saw them two days ago. Awesome
Asome song love this song
Awesome! I always did like this song. Sound great live too.
Jim Martin is sorely missed. He's the best they had. Trey, Menta and Hudson, all good guitarists, but Martin had that something special that suited FNM perfectly.
great song. greatest live band.
Billy is a tremendous bassist. I believe hes highly underatted by alot but IMO hes great and i love his sound and his style.

Farkin awesome song and band. Absolute mad genius is Patton!
Epic as usual... always fits the mood
it really sucks that Jim left the band in the 90's. what a great band Faith No More were. So creative ahead of the times.

el bajo de Billy Gould es una locura. Mike hecho un gentleman. tremendo FNM!
That Guitar!
Mike just may be one of the most neglected artists out there today... such a shame too, he is amazing.
So So Good ! I was there ! What a brilliant band. Would love to see them again........
I love the keyboard, bass, voice and guitar!!! are all great! =3
The bass in this song is just plain badass
12 years later...same line up touring European festivals...hell yeah!
most underrated band ever, but I kinda like it that way. How could you not love this shit.
Thanks! He's great here!! NICE!!!!
Good mixture and show of talent!
The thing about Billys playing is he chooses the silences as well as the notes.
