I've been following you for years and your fish room has transformed so much with all your hard work. It's really special and you can be proud. That eichhonia roraima looks so cool. Like palm trees or tropical ferns. It really gives your tank a jungle look. It really adds something different and I've never seen that before.
Keep the little Rainbows over the guppies. Good Luck on the tank contest. The fish room updates are getting better and better. "Do More" is a great attitude.
Thanks so much! A lot has happened since I began this adventure about 3 years ago but now I'm really starting to get a vision of what I want for this room :)
on your water filter you should switch them around use the sediment filter (white) to get rid of the bigger particles so that your carbon (black) filter wont get clogged up as fast giving it a better chance to get rid of more chlorine/chloramine for longer. unless it's already like that hard to tell which side you're using for input and output
I think you should top up the gravel in the back section of the under gravel filter tank. Under gravel filters need a thick layer of gravel, soil or lava mulch to be efficient.
So glad to see your african cichlids are breeding! I recently had my fairy cichlids breed too and saved around 6 babies. Hopefully they'll stay healthy and breed more!
Looking great! Congrats! By the way I see you use green house plastic for aquarium tops. What do you use to cut it to specs? I am having a terrible time finding a way to cut it to size. Thanks!
In the first 2 tanks i just saw gravel, i use it too. Any tips on how to keep it healthy? Love to see you journey to get a full fish room!! You can do it!👏🏼
Hi Ryo! The aquabase is coming along nicely. It gets better and better with each fishroom tour 😊 Edit: Also good luck with the IAPLC contest. We're rooting for you.
Thanks Cow Juice, so much progress has been made since I began my fish room journey and now I'm getting a clear idea of what I want :) You're right, it only gets better and better :)
Hi there. One of Ryo's mods here. I agree. They definitely can be beneficial but to some extent, I think it really depends. Some people mind because snails can ruin the aesthetic of the tank or how it looks, especially when they breed out of control. So yea, it really is a subjective thing; depending on personal preferences and on the particular circumstances unique to each keeper. Have a good day. 😃
The fish room looks GREAT, Ryo! I really love it. I would keep a little of the tuxedo guppies. I can't keep em alive unfortunately. I really love the old school metal rim tank with the sawbwa resplendens. And the golden tetras, and the cichlids. lol. I want that eichhinodorus but I can't get it. Was the job you were talking about the tennis coach job? You are doing really, really well, and it makes me happy to see. I had gotten kind of depressed, and not motivated to do fish stuff. But I think I'm coming out of it. Fingers crossed. You always help me my friend.❤
Hi Leila. Sorry to hear about the depression part. Just wanted to say that: you matter and that the world is better with you a part of it. Keep fighting and best wishes. 🤗
@@LeilaSoleil Glad to hear from you. Yes, no matter how (expletive) life can get sometimes, always remember that you matter. You matter in a great way. Stay safe and all the best. ☺️

(fingers crossed I can breed some or all!!!) IMO, get rid of the guppys! I have endlers here that take up too much (valuable) space!!! Keep/breed the stuff you want now -- tomorrow it will change. :)
I've been following you for a while and I have you say that all the hard work you have put into this studio/gallery has paid off. It looks beautiful! Your fish and aquascapes are amazing! So many plants that I have not seen around me. I really want to get myself a tiger lotus plant. My favorites that I would like to have are the psudomagil gertrudae, red and blue rasboras that look like rummy nose. Thanks for sharing Ryo!
On behalf of Ryo and the other moderators, allow me to thank you for watching the videos, commenting and leaving a like. These simple steps sure help with the algorithm. Have a great day/night ahead. 😃
The fish room is looking great Ryo! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Ryo, what will you be putting in the small little Dooa tank? A beta, or maybe some small nano fish like neon tetras, or scarlet badis, or chili rasbora or something like that? That would be cool.
Hey Ryo! I would love to enter the contest. Could you give me some advice on how to enter? P.S. Keep up the great work fish room is coming along nicely.
Hi. As one of Ryo's moderators, maybe I can answer your question. He uses the green water tank to raise the fish fry. Some fish fry are drawn to "murky" waters as part of their natural instinct. In the wild, it helps protect them by obscuring them from their natural predators. The algae growth, which causes the water to turn green, mimics that environment and thus makes them "feel safer". So that is why he keeps the green water tank. Hope this helps.
Hi ryo, What a great video!! Iwas wondering do you have contact with Masashi Ono san? I would love to see a video with him. Last year met him at vivarium in the Netherlands what a great person he is. Have a great weekend With love from the Netherlands Stefan
It’s not common around the world yet. Eichhornia azurea is the one commonly available. Roraima is just another collection point. Leaves and size is slightly different. If you search it in Japanese (エイクホルニア・ロライマ) you might find some info, but in Japanese of course
najas is completely different plant. Yup, my Eichornia roraima is a type of hyacinth. It'll produce floating leaves when it reaches the surface.@@GillMaticH2O

Your fish room is incredibly clean and tidy. Some serious inspiration Ryo!
Agreed. I think his choice of the white coat of paint, for the walls, helps with that aspect.

Looking great Ryo! What else can I say. . . Oh, those rummynose rasboras, so cool, I've been looking for some for a while now.

If you order from him, pick a time when temps are mild. not too cold OR too hot. He's out West. Wyoming I think.
Grats on your cichlid fry! Great fish room. Love seeing your plant collection. So many types I haven’t seen before!

Keep the snails they're good at keeping the tanks free of algae, place them in other tanks. Wonderful tour.

Love the progress of the fish room
From car garage to a amazing fish room
Hope i can see it in person im from shizuoka 🫡
I always struggle with tiger lotus. Don't really have a issue with any other plants. What's the key to be sucessfull with this plant in your opinion ?
Yayyy... New videooooo!
Thanks!!
Lovely ryo..which camera do you use..
The camera he uses is the Canon M50
Why don't you make a pond outside for the tuxedo koi guppies? Just bring them back inside in winter
Summer is too hot for them, even if they are fully shaded. Literally gets up to 40°C (104°F)
Who draws so perfect like that 😂 kudos on all the tanks!
How concerned are you about nitrates in your tanks?
If you had a 2.5 by 1.5 by 1.5 ft tank, what fish would you like to add into it and about what quantity?
Very good looking fishroom, are african cichlids so rare in Japan? Because i remember that you looked for the rusty cichlid
Yes, not many people keep African Cichlids in Japan. Still haven't found any rusties :(

I don't think there's such a thing as a snail problem.
I think it depends on how you look at it. Some people dont mind snails, some people do mind because they dont like the look of them.
