Newcastle's Skywalk Network- newcastle modernism

The video covers the pedestrian network which extends above the streets of Newcaslte city centre, built as part of the pedway schemes in the 1960's this aimed at solving traffic issues by creating a multi layered city.
Only a few sections of this network was built within the city, which the majority still remains, within recent years some sections have been demolished and this planning idealism from the time is at risk of being lost entirely.
