Thank you so much for posting this! I have a 2007 C-280 and when the blower stopped I was afraid that here I was with another $500 charge to get it replaced. Your directions gave me the knowledge needed to do it myself. Ordered the blower and regulator on ebay from Alibris for $118 shipped to Hawaii, and the entire swap took me 20 minutes going slowly and carefully. My Benz has 111K miles on it and still looks beautiful and runs great, so I was very happy to get my a/c back and cooling. Mahalo plenty!
Just want to say thank you a million times. You saved me money and it was super easy to replace both things the regulator and the blower. The dealer wanted to charge me like 400 to replace both and I did it in 30 minutes.
Needed to have a AC Blower regulator changed for a '13 ML350 4MATIC. AC works, just no fan. Took the part out..fan and regulator...and asked the parts department for a replacement cost. $500!!!! When I asked for just the regulator they told me they don't sell just the regulator, just the entire unit. Then it would have been $200 to install! Really??? $700 plus tax to get this done? I don't think so. It was 6 screws to remove the under-dash panel and unit. I got the replacement OEM regulator (Valero makes them) from an Ebay store. $88 brand new with warranty. 6 screws reinserted later and the AC blower is working like a champ! Thanks!!!!
There are a lot of vids out there that show something to do with replacing the blower fan - different to this vid. Thanks - a perfect match for my wife's car (she'll appreciate the squeak has stopped once I tell her :) Many thanks - I have now ordered one.😁
good evening, I have a problem on the c sportcoupe, the fan runs well but the air does not get hot for quite a while until the engine is out of temperature. they told me that there is an electric resistance that comes on immediately and even when the engine is cold, it throws hot air and maybe it's broken, do you have a video that shows sove and how is that resistance broken?
Well, it's still winter, -20C and the heater in my w203 decided to stop working. When I start the car, the blower comes on and after a few seconds stops. It would start again and stop again after a few seconds and after that - no air. I assume it's the blower motor regulator, because today the heater worked half the time and there was good warm wind coming out of the dashboard. Tho it's probably better if I replace both the motor and the regulator...
Hi, I have helped a friend replace his car's blower motor...the original blower fan blade has a clip on it. But the new blower motor blade does not have a clip on it. Would I need to remove the clip and put it on the new blower fan blade?
HELP PLEASE!!!! Hi guys, how can you tell if it's just the Blower fan, "AND NOT" the whole unit. I think my motor is ok, BUT my fan that go's on it is bad.... LUV YOUR CHANNEL FELLAS, ANY THOUGHTS?
In my case the fan worked earlier today and then at night it gave out completely stopped working. About a week ago it gave out too I couldn’t tell if it was the fan or what because we tried turning it on and it didn’t work. We turned the car on and off a few times even tapped under the blower motor and nothing. We kept messing with it in different ways and eventually it turned on. Today when we tried turning it on it just didn’t work no matter what we did.
It was a good replace video. BUT, why didn't you turn it on before so we could hear what noise it was making. Then turn it back on when done. I'm guessing this fixed your problem?
Great Video, however in my experience with 3 Mercedes Benzs (2008 e320, 2009 e430 and 2010 gl450), it is the fan regulator (circuit board in this video) that fails and not necessarily the fan itself. You'll usually hear signs of bearing noise (loud wearing sound) if the fan itself is deteriorating and going bad.
I have 220 cdi 2009 doesn't come out like that it's a plastic tab that is near impossible to get the motor out if it had screws or bolts would be brill but it hasn't you need 3 arms that extend from your waste as it's so difficult to fit both arms in right position
My fan gradually started to die (would blow weak, and sound like it was trying to spin up, no grinding or anything just low blow) and now has totally quit blowing... should i replace the blower, the regulator, or both? Dealership want's to replace both and charge me $1,400...
When you take some parts from the old motor and place it into new motor, than you have to test the new motor, before replacement. The problems in electric motors also can be in capaciotors or other electronic parts who controling them.
I have a 2005 E320 wagon How & what is the best way that you can determine if the blower motor regulator is bad or just the blower motor itself, because when I turn on the heater or AC nothing happens now etc ? Thanks
I have a 2011 mercedes 300 4 matic...I have that chirping when I turn ac/heater on..It is louder chirp when on high..not so much on low...does this sound like the motor replacement is needed...does sound like it is coming from passenger side right where you are changing out this one on your video
Hello .. can you be kind enough to assist on replacing the blower motor of a Mbenz 2010 e350? I can see the blower motor however I cannot see any screws holding it ... I simply do not know how to take it out. Thank you in advance.
A $410 job at the dealership cost me $75 in parts and 15mins in labor. Thanks alot 2carpros 👍🏾

Thanks for the video I'm hoping this will fix her a/c cause the fuses are good the blower not coming on at all.. Where do you get the blower from???
rockauto.com and amazon.com is usually where we source our parts from. Only using factory specifiction parts of course! Thank you for watching!

It did. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros why not run the car before and after so we could hear what it sounded like?

Yes! I have heard that too! Thanks!
How can I tell if it’s the fan or the circuit board ?
That’s is my exact problem now - weird sounds at diff speeds

I'd replace the fan motor first. Thanks for watching!
@@2carpros Heh, now i know why the dealership can charge that much, because i can't find the fan anywhere online to purchase besides them... FML
Ebay amazon

Take the blower motor out and hook it up to the battery briefly and see if it turns on.
Thanks a lot..

Hello! I have a 2009 C 300 Mercedes Benz. A/C is not working. Line under hood are freezing.Blower not working. Can you help on this? thank you.
Sounds like you need a new blower motor! Thank you for watching!
Thank you. I do not see any screw in bottom of blower motor, I push and twist, but is not coming out. do you have any video on this. Thank you.
Hi! What is the bolts dimensions that holds the blower in place?? I've lost them can't find them anywhere, help!
They’re t-20 and 1cm long
Always replace the circuit board with a new one too, that's the first thing that goes bad
How much is the circuit board?
My blower fan speed fluctuates by itself & won't turn off if set to '0'. Do i need to replace the motor blower regulator?
No it's normal ... unless the air pressure is very high when on (o)
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks!
No problem!
For this to be an excellent video yiu need to show tools use
so do you have anything on a 99 c230k?
Sorry no, we only have what comes into our shop. Maybe someday someone will bring that car in for a job. Thank you for watching!
