Half the Starbucks don't list the sizes and the prices anymore. I Not everyone knows, and grande means big in Spanish, and everyone knows what it means, so it isn't a weird assumption.
@@Elizabeth-eb9il that's true! Some of the Starbucks' locations in Toronto don't list the prices per size. Often the featured/ seasonal items are only on the menu poster. Quite frustrating.
@@lubaleong9619 It's like that in the U.S. as well. My mom luckily knows the sizes so she just tells me what size I want and I reiterate it to the barista, but they should just put a s, m, l over each size so people get it. And I usually eat there with a gift card, but I don't know what I can afford with the card since they dont list all the sizes and prices.
I don't even drink starbucks but I got the sizes memorized like come on it's not that hard. Btw from smallest to largest it's Short, Tall, Grande, Venti, and Trinta
Same. I bought a Keurig (already had a blender) and used that to make my own drinks. Keurig was expensive, but I'm saving a lot in the long run. Honestly a lot of their drinks are mediocre to me. Sometimes making your own is the best route.
Misfit 648 you probably can, but you feel like you shouldn’t because it would be a waste of money AND you would get addicted. At least, that’s how my situation is
My coffee shop had a regular named Gary and he would come every morning at 6 on the dot to get his wife a mocha. He wouldn’t get anything, just came to get something for his wife. He was such a sweet older man.
Was a Starbucks barista for 4.5 years: Just the brewed coffee, that I got free while working there. The few drinks that were about ¾ syrup. Those were fun. Got a lot of matcha waters too. We called him cherry spitter. He was banned from our store, the surrounding stores, and the people at the public library (worked there as well for a time) wanted him to never return. No. But they did take a lot of pictures of the Secret Menu drinks I would make for them. I knew a lot by memory and offered them to some of the regulars I liked. The dogs. Hands down the dogs. I met so many doggos and got so many puppy kisses. Oh, and the ice cream shop owner from next door came in a lot and was so sweet to us. Brought in a lot of free ice cream for us too. Now that I think about it, I got a lot of free stuff from customers while working there. Huh. Pretty much everything they said about Fraps. Hot lattes. I made foam like a boss. What didn’t they complain about? Yes, after we were out of the food that we kept behind the counter. The ice cream shop owner. I miss him sometimes (he’s alive, I just moved to a different state). No. But they did for the advent calendars. Or the coffee tumbler that you bought and then got a free cup of coffee or latte a day in it.
I’m a barista at Starbucks and the weirdest order I’ve had to make was a venti strawberry Frappuccino, made with soy milk and two shots of espresso blended in, mocha drizzle in and on top. With 14 packs of stevia blended in as well. Along with graham crackers underneath the whipped cream and only 1”inch of whip on top.
This is literally my week at work 😂 weirdest drink I’ve ever had to make: BLENDED WATER 🧐 WORST drink: venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with 1 shot in, 1 shot affagatto, 3 Hazelnut, 3 toffee nut, 3 caramel, 3 mocha, 3 white mocha, 3 vanilla, 3 cinnamon dolce, 1/3 almond milk, 1/3 soy milk, 1/3 coconut milk, caramel drizzle in and on top, mocha drizzle in and on top, extra whip, extra cookie topping

also not gonna lie i 100% prefer wokring with the plain white cups anyway. last years christmas cups were such a mess of colours and patterns we couldnt just write on the cup as we usually would, and had to write on the sleeves to put them on the cup which doesnt give you as much room and slows you down. it's almost like the people that create them dont actually work in a starbucks...
I miss my Favorite Starbucks.. I moved away to an Island in the North Pacific.. The staff were all awesome, they all knew me by name.. It was a fun place to go to..
It’s okay. I work at Starbucks and I’m telling you that 95% of the time I order a Frappuccino and it’s super complicated and my coworkers always groan and ask me “What the heck is this?”
Nah dont take pics of Seattle baristas, were always sweaty and we hate you. Just take your coffee and go. -Sincerely a former Seattle starbucks barista
Monet Orr “we hate you” with that attitude I sure won’t be wanting to go to that starbucks. Please respect people in and outside your work. It gives you a rude reputation etc. But, yes. Okay as a Starbucks employee I completely understand what you’re saying. Some people take pictures of us when we tell them not to, are rude with us when we are literally the sweetest with them, and make our lives difficult. Nope! Also, a lot of the time people are very quiet or talk very fast so I can't catch their name very well so I put down what I think they said because it's just faster when there is a big line.
@@barbiepink5867 Baristas have so much going on with milk steaming, beans grinding, ovens beeping, & people yelling so they can probably barely hear you. They also have to go so fast and, honestly, your name is not a priority.
I was once a barista way back when 😜 lol I keep as my lil secret when ppl come over I ask what kind off coffee they enjoy most and make it for them, you cant compare my bravville machine to SB but as long as you have the basic ingredients you can make similar things
The display food question was actually really interesting. It depends on your store really; we are all supposed to set up the display with fresh pastries in the morning. Depending on your store's food sales, you would go about food differently because waste comes into play. If you're being served pastries directly from the display case, that store either has an inexperienced person at cash or they just don't sell enough food anyway
And their drink names are way too confusing. Their pretty and they probably taste good, but really I'm always confused when I see a TH-camr ordering something.
There are easy drinks to order, but people on social media platforms make things super complicated. You can walk in to a Starbucks and the employee there will make things easy for you. I get people who come in and say “I just want like a flavored coffee but could it be like cold or frozen? Whatever that is called but in a medium with whipcream. Can it be caramel flavored?” And we know exactly what you’re talking about and ring it up.
I’m one of those people that have been going to starbucks everyday of my life since I was like 10, and I’d never complain about my drink infront of the workers ever. Now that I work at a Starbucks I have nothing but rude old customers 🥴
I only get frappes and i loved the toasted white chocolate and they would keep the syrup for an extra 3 months for me and I would always have it ready so fast and I always gave a tip and told them I didn’t mind waiting and I appreciate it
Love that they mentioned a lot of what happens while working there. The customers will be rude and will be annoying no matter what. Starbucks will always be a great job to just go back to if you end up leaving. Even though it has changed within the past 10 years, working there makes you feel a little different than everyone else. In a good way that is.

My coffee shop had a regular named Gary and he would come every morning at 6 on the dot to get his wife a mocha. He wouldn’t get anything, just came to get something for his wife. He was such a sweet older man.
Was a Starbucks barista for 4.5 years:
Just the brewed coffee, that I got free while working there.
A time stamp would've played out well but still enjoyed reading your comment. Have a great day :)
Gokul Raj I think they mean from their personal experience.
“Hey, Im Rachel, I’m a former Starbucks employee”
Me: “Hi Nicole!”
They should ask this question to all Starbucks employees what’s the weirdest/complex order you ever heard
💯💯💯
I’m a barista at Starbucks and the weirdest order I’ve had to make was a venti strawberry Frappuccino, made with soy milk and two shots of espresso blended in, mocha drizzle in and on top. With 14 packs of stevia blended in as well. Along with graham crackers underneath the whipped cream and only 1”inch of whip on top.

okami9000 our matcha is a powder and it’s made with milk lol
@@karengodinez5961 well yes i know matcha is a powder and you can make it with milk, im just saying its traditionally made with water alone, unless you have a special starbucks matcha powder (which wouldnt surprise me tbh)

My favorite has got to be the cool lime refresher but that's discontinued🥺
Audrie Rudasill No it doesnt personally I dont Suggest getting the smores frap because the only thing that makes it a smores frappuccino is the marshmallow whip cream and thats it for syrup we just use vanilla its not all that great 😂
I like it when they mess up my drink because I can try something different that I would probably not try otherwise
Yeah, I don't get the cup-angry mood. They're just cups and the baristas don't choose the designs. *shrugs*
also not gonna lie i 100% prefer wokring with the plain white cups anyway. last years christmas cups were such a mess of colours and patterns we couldnt just write on the cup as we usually would, and had to write on the sleeves to put them on the cup which doesnt give you as much room and slows you down. it's almost like the people that create them dont actually work in a starbucks...
I feel bad for you baristas....
I guess that’s why most of them are former barista’s....
"you didn't say you wanted the kids temp" 😂😂😂
Why would people want a picture with a Starbucks barista? I dont get it

Megan Sweeney My name is Rachel tho😂Not Raquel..not Michelle..not rochell..not rikell just RACHEL😩😩😂

Rachel anyone told you you look like emma roberts?
Starbucks baristas always made my drinks perfect so I would never complain
The display food question was actually really interesting. It depends on your store really; we are all supposed to set up the display with fresh pastries in the morning. Depending on your store's food sales, you would go about food differently because waste comes into play. If you're being served pastries directly from the display case, that store either has an inexperienced person at cash or they just don't sell enough food anyway
Before I quit there I used to make an amazing strawberry açaí lemonade.
I’m a barista as well and I agree on doing dishes. I actually love doing them so all my coworkers let me do them every shift lol

I love Christmas cups, I wish they had more Santa's and reindeer

Love that they mentioned a lot of what happens while working there. The customers will be rude and will be annoying no matter what.
