Amazing, simply amazing! New Zealand has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. As an American rider who lives landlocked in a few hundred miles of corn and soy fields, I am utterly jealous!
I’m so lucky and privileged to be a kiwi and I have been to South Island few times but great to see this video covering most scenic and remote places covered by David. Awesome work, thank you :) sunny and sound in Sydney
Definitely one of the best video's I have had the pleasure of watching.. You make riding look Awesome.. The scenery was Fantastic... Keep riding.. Thank You
Fantastic video absolutely loved it. I'm use to the beaches and bush so that highlands, plains and rivers was a eye opener. Can't wait to get back to Aotearoa and go exploring again
Ever felt like there is a club of people on green earth who are having too much fun and for some reason you ain't invited? I can't afford a nice bike and probably can't get a visa to such amazing destinations. watching from an obscure location in Africa. That said I envy you guys, I enjoyed watching this.
Watched all 7 vids that you compiled this from, numerous times. Love that you put it all together as one! I also now own some of the fine music this series introduced me to. Thanks Dave - Well done!!
Thanks Allen, MAD TV for 2017 undergoes some slight changes. Adventure vids will now be full length, 40 mins to an hour, Russia, North India. All the favourites continue, Chris Birch, crazy shit coming on that front, more bike Reviews than 2016, more firsts, starting next week. In fact next year, if all the moons align, we will have some crazy firsts.
Well done boys..niiiiice all of it ...I went 8000 miles through China in total in a year. Talked to bamboo cutters and stuff....but later on all the polution in China was too much..dreamed about good riding with blue sky and nice tracks ...now I am moving to the very south of UK and will enjoy soon what I `ve been dreaming of
Southern Seclusion I’ve done two laps of NZ on dirt bikes and once across the north of Vietnam (going again in September) hard to pick between the two countries! Both are unbelievable places to ride... have you done NZ now, how did you compare it to Vietnam
Hey Dave, I'm making my way through your channel and see your have found my back yard! Great representation of a typical adventure ride in "Central" as those of us that live close by would call it. There is a few bits of access you have gotten that I have never managed to get, which shows the advantage of a commercially organised ride. Again your good nature comes through in this movie. It maybe hard to believe it but we are now encouraging our northern bretheren up sort out some North Island riding for next year. Perhaps you'll tag along. Who knows what Murray will arrange.
As a rider from Dunedin NZ, its great to see so many people enjoying the beauty our country has to offer. I have a request for the people of Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV. As i m a regular for the past 6 years to the rally known as the Brass Monkey in Oturehua im now in need of an alternative route as the Dunstan old road/trail is now only going to be open to road legal bikes so any dirt bikes 4 wheelers and others are going to be left out and would probably spell the end to this Rally as a lot of people dont have road legal bikes or licences to attend this year. My question is do you have any contacts that could help with an alternative route to this rally as there are many who will be disapointed not to mention the new younger generation coming up who look forward to this event every year. Your help would be much appreciated even if it means some alternative rides we could do during the year. It is getting harder to find places to ride and any suggestions would surely help me and many other riders out. Thanks and love the vids
Seriously?? That's a bummer. I just looked at their website and there are still a bunch of off-road and dual-sport motorcycle rides offered... did they forget to update their site??
So not a single one of them had a true honest dual sport? All were just dirt bikes? No wonder they didn't handle such a long trip so well. Kudos to them, I bet they all had the time of their lives, but if I was gonna do something like that I'd pick a bike meant for a longer trip, not something that'll need a full rebuild afterwards. At the same time I could be talking out of my ass here, won't know until someone corrects me or tells me why I'm wrong or whatever else. I welcome the criticism! Edit: before anyone bashes me too hard, these fellas in this video are very clearly better than I am regardless of what bikes either of us have. I'm just saying based on what I saw and the length of the journey. Something like a WR250R/CRF250L or a KLR/DR/XR 650 (L) may have been better, maybe a bit worse on gas with the bigger bikes.
"Slippery as a Dingo in Darwin", never heard that one before. Slippery as a butcher's dick" is the Aussie saying I've heard referring to something being slippery.
Shame they didnt take their time a bit instead of going out hard and ripping up the great Otago tracks. The land owner will see the ripped up tracks and not allow anyone else on the land. Ruined for all.
You are talking out your backside my friend. I had been on this ride many times over the years, utilising the same private land with willing owners. We paid for the privilege and they would stop and talk to us. The real problem is the people who don't get permission and barge their way onto private land without consent. That's where the problem lies and that is what the private land owners told us. Now crawl back in your thought bubble and come out when you have something sensible to say, backed with reality.
Damn you`re having fun…… when I get old enough I will join ya…..;--)) ( I`m only 51 one so a few more years and I`ll be the youngest in the pack ;-)))))
Loved this one Dave. Thanks for showing some of the best parts of New Zealand and an awesome trip
Oldy but a goody. Joe Forsyth and Robbie were very helpful in getting me the shots.

MAD ADV never put on youtube of an unsatisfying motorcycle adv trip, they were all unforgetable adv epic scenery which similary related to a fairytale.
My Honda would do that without missing a beat.
Mighty Fun 👍

Ok what kinda magic is happening @ 6:41 ? One wheeled Yamaha?
Good Stuff! Much respect from Las Vegas Desert Riders! AKA The Idiots
What is this adventure called
What's that song that plays around 32:30? "Come all you outlaws and believers" sounds brilliant!
Music credits at the end of the video.

No permissions were obtained by the farmers and a fee paid
OtemaTata to Otemahua. funny names them kiwi's have but it sure is pretty.

Green bikes are way more reliable than orange bikes
Bloody KTMs, give me Japanese anyday, moneypits.
Which tour was that? I would LOVE to do it!
Unfortunately that tour is no longer offered. The guy now does 4wd tours.
Seriously?? That's a bummer. I just looked at their website and there are still a bunch of off-road and dual-sport motorcycle rides offered... did they forget to update their site??
Have you been to America?

@@MotorcycleAdventureDirtbikeTV Eloquently put.
By sticking to the tracks, no damage is done, and after the next rain you wouldn't know were they had been.
Some People Enjoy It God Hates The Stuff.speights
Mate, I'm from Invercargill and drank DB or Monteiths always, Speights is shit, compared to some great NZ beers.
A great area to ride through, but stop trying to convince Aussies , Speights is a good beer, give me a Dominion Bitter, anyday over that crap!!
Damn you`re having fun…… when I get old enough I will join ya…..;--)) ( I`m only 51 one so a few more years and I`ll be the youngest in the pack ;-)))))
