    hey sam good luck building that RS as i work in ford dealership your lucky half parts of that RS is same as any usual Focus so most parts are widely available at car demolition or ebay and this frame collision is most common i see at work i have done similar repair on focus took me about day to get frame straight and most body parts refitted pre paint waiting forward to new episodes hence ford/volvo body repair is what i do daily. good luck and congrats on 200k

      TheTarzVidz ford allows repair of their frame rails?

    • @TheTarzVidz
      @TheTarzVidz 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes ford allows to repair frame but it also depends on damage either partial repair and exchange or only repair and it may seem like quite bad but that damage will pull out whit easy ford is quite soft

    I'm a non-car guy and as much as I love Doug DeMuro's supercar reviews, I didn't think I'd be entertained watching an entire rebuild video full of technical jargon that I don't understand. Unexpectedly and fortunately, I was dead wrong. You're entertaining for sure and I'm learning a lot, so keep up the good work man!

      They would just write "don't start" or pull a fuse. More than likely, an unscrupulous potential buyer was trying to sabotage the car. Insurance doesn't care afaik what happens to it.

    The unplug harness was for people trying car on the spot. Copart state as "start" people come in and it won't. So they don't want to buy. Somebody probably knew about this and wanted to keep the car for themself.

    Hi Sam, Although you figured it out already here is a simple tip to use with unplugged plugs. That connector at 4:02 with nothing plugged in, appears to have recently had something it was plugged into. The surface with the female contacts seems too clean. I may be dead wrong because this is a later model car. But if you just compare that surface to another plug that has just been unplugged, check out the amount of grit and grime and you can determine whether or not something was recently plugged in and now stolen or stripped..

    • @xenonram
      @xenonram 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or you could just know that a car manufacturer would never leave a plug like that not connected to something or a dust cap.

    • @russellfreeman4931
      @russellfreeman4931 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@xenonram Not necessarily true. I've seen a few different models of cars that have open plugs left because the car didn't come with a certain option and they didn't want to deal with model specific wiring harnesses. Granted, they are usually accessory plugs for things like fog lights or blind spot warnings on mirrors.

    I have an 8th gen civic SI that I bought a while back and the previous owner did not tell me about frame damage. Also I spun out in the snow and hit a curb, but not fast, which possibly made it worse. Anyways I had it repaired properly for a hefty sum of money and now the car is straight as an arrow, had it out last night ripping up a back road nothing funky what so ever, so I can vouch for the drivability of a repaired car with frame damage:]

    Some smart person unplugged that harness. Easiest way to prevent a start and someone killing the car from all the oil lose. That harness was close enough to the oil cooler that it probably made it more likely to see the damage done and then hopefully the person won't attempt to start it until the oil problems are fixed.

    That oil tree oil cooler is same with the St model! You also have a 17 rs which uses new AC system with new updated AC lines , make sure do not get the 16 lines from
    Any donors as they wont work!
    Srs because your wheel did not blow youll be able to just replace a 350 knee bag and maybe the driver seat belt, and clear the system, if the wheel bag would blow then the srs module would of had to be replaced or reprogrammed, so your in the better shape!

    Launch diag tools are quite decent. Software is a bit of a mess and often it changes a lot between brands because it mostly has the dealers tools menus. Not sure if I explained it right.
    Anyway, I have the little yellow Easydiag 2.0 original (it was very cheap, I think it's not sold anymore) and then used the PRO software cracked. Works like a charm.
    Easydiag 3.0 is out, might buy that one but need to see if cracked software is available.
