  • This tutorial will teach all you need to know to make a professional looking lined tab top window treatment, plus a couple of tricks and tips along the way! This video will also show you how long to make the tabs, all the different ways there are to "dress" this style of window treatment (which means the way you arrange the fabric to create a pleasing look) once you hang it on your rod. Watch for my follow up video that will describe the changes needed to make a tab top curtain or drapery panel.

I'm so glad I found your video , I watch another and her tab valance looked sloppy and very homemade. She used horrible material. I just recovered my rattan couch , turned out pretty good. I want my valances to look good too. Thanks alot

I marked all the lines on the table myself. Maybe I’ll make a video on the table one day!

So... if my window is 31 inches. I should cut the fabric to 62 inches?

@@ASquarePillowIsntSquare UGH. I knew I must've missed it - thank-you! Now I know what my husband feels like when he tells me he can't find something in the refrigerator. I walk over and move 1 thing and POOF! there's the missing item.

What do you use for lining, please?

I suggest watching the video called “Drapery Lining Part 2”. It’ll help you make decisions about what linings are right for each project

@@ASquarePillowIsntSquareVery helpful indeed, please share what brands are better than others. I need buy on line and don't know one from the other as far as brands. Does Joann's have ANYTHING decent in this arena? I cannot touch and feel when buying online.

    • @ASquarePillowIsntSquare

@@bethbilous4720 There’s no easy answer for you Beth. Every city and town has different options and resources. Joann has very limited options as far as home dec fabric goes. You’re always better off going to a store that specializes in this type of fabric. And as with most things, price is often directly related to quality. If you can only shop online take the time to have samples sent first.
