Thank you!!! For the LIFE of me, I couldn't figure out what this finish was called, and I haven't seen it in person in YEARS so I couldn't figure out how to do it. Pro tip for other commenters: If you don't want to see those tab stitch lines on the inside of your curtain, you can always sew on the tabs before you hem everything,. You might want to consider a backing fabric in that case, so they have enough strength, but I'm a huge nut for not having extra lines on facing fabric.
Love this .👌 I have a bay widow fitted pole .. which joins in the middle .. I've always bought eyelet drapes .. this would be a great idea .. to try .. thank you for sharing .X
Wish I could do that! Can you do this if you buy pencil pleat curtains but instead of hook you can just put the rod/pole through the back part where you would normally put hooks on to?
I love these drapes. I made same exact style (I didn't know they had a name)for my friends high end jewelry store 10 years ago and they are super easy and look great. Thanks for the reminder. I need some for my house now.
So I have been complaining about the cold weather here in Nova Scotia, but snow? Really, now I will not be complaining at all. haha ;) I love this tutorial and may end up using it for my drapes in my bedroom :)
Thank you for the DIY. I bought a very price curtains 8 panels but they was regular once and I wanted a back - tab panels , but they cost even more. But I know what to do now . Thank you, amazing video!!!
I love them! Seriously and how the blue pulls from the walls and within the curtain floral pieces. Great job and I will have to use this video to help guide me to create my own STATEMENT PIECES, I mean curtains! Lol 😋
Great idea & super easy. I needed an idea for my laundry & so going to do this & absolutely love your fabric Greetings from Port Elizabeth, South Africa
The weave of my curtain fabric seems looser than what you’re using. Would it be good to use a stabilizer for the top before hemming? The fabric is heavy but quite flimsy.
can you make a TUCKED HEADBOARD WITHOUT drilling the buttons I made one used FOAMBOARD and the usual suspects it came out a mess I have a twin hospital bed I'm DISABLED and want my bedroom to be AWESOM but having a hard time LOVE YOUR SUBSCRIBER😁😁😁📜📜THANKS IF YOU CAN HELP????
I was just browsing at the site you shared the fabric - your's was linen..., how would 100% polyester be? Or what would you suggest for drapes for a kitchen.
Bibiane Sproule It would be fine! i have polyester drapes in my kitchen. I don't care as much about the fiber content as how the fabric looks and hangs.
Love the material. Do you have double glazing - I guess that must be standard in such a cold climate. Here in Melbourne Australia I line my curtains with an insulating fabric as we live in an old house which doesn't have double glazing. Good luck with your project - slow and steady wins the race!!!!!! Cheers
This is not a great design. You can make professional looking curtains with a few changes - namely making longer tabs and sewing them on when you sew the edges of the seams.
This video was very helpful. I was going to make buttonholes for the rods to go through but this is SO much simpler.Thank you!

Thank for this. I've been thinking how can I make curtain without grommets
LOVE the simplicity of these drapes! Great video tutorial!
I've never sewn any drapes; only curtains. Liked the idea of the hidden tabs! Looking forward to the finished room transformation.
Love the fabric...I'm making drapes like this in Solid Navy Bue Cotton Duck for my master bedroom to go with the Duvet to match. Thanks for showing!

TexasMagnoliaHome Thank you! Have fun sewing! ❤
I think I would make my own tabs out of the same fabric. It will look better in my opinion. I always stitch the side seams first. Still a good video.
Thank you for all the DIY I've learned and enjoyed all of them.
you finish the edge of the ribbon tab with flame or what? sorry, just can't quite understand the alternate to flame. thanks!
What are the dimensions of the curtains finished product and how wide is each panel?
What size do I cut tabs to go on back of curtain for rod to go in for hanging
Great idea & super easy. I needed an idea for my laundry & so going to do this & absolutely love your fabric

I loved your tutorial.
Thank you it was helpful and easy. Bless you.
Wow it's so helpful! I'll make mine too! 😊
Can I use the hidden tab method, using sheer fabric ( instead of heavy fabric )for my curtains please?
Thanks so much!! I'm going to use ribbon to turn my rod pocket panels into the hidden tab type so curtains will open more smoothly, thanks again :)
they look great, love the colors
