Sweet print and design. I learned alot from the time lapse. I always thought that all ABS was the same. When ever someone said that a filament company had a premium blend or a different blend of ABS i got really comfused. Lol. Can't wait to see what you do with it in the future. :)

+Panoreth 3D Printing Be it PLA or ABS, there are many differing qualitiesI have found. However if get some of the "name brands", they typically are pretty good...

Cool! I just made a filament spool holder with 1/2" PVC piping. :-)

The way you design things and the way they get printed can lead to totally different levels of structural integrity then what you'd expect. Over time you just adapt and design things slightly different so you get more layers and strength where you need them.

+Mickice your 100% correct and reason I do these as it seems to be simple to whip it up but as you point out what you get is vastly different. I started a project to design laser tube holders for my laser cutter thing it a simple task now four weeks later and countless prints I am just an out there...

I was printing a simple flat surface with a rod that came out about 8cm for a spool holder, but in the printing world there was only about 3 top layers holding that rod with complete emptiness underneath. I redesigned it and made both objects separate then hammered them together. Much stronger.

Hello, Thank you for your post. I'm very excited about 3D printers. As such, I'm looking to get a 3D printer and I am in the learning phase before I get one. You are the first person to mention Splitting in the Layering. This very concerning for me. Is there a way to prevent this? Very Respectfully.
