Whats the reason behind positioning the piston to the top of the exhaust stroke, and then stuffing rope into the spark plug hole?
Do you need to do that before removing the clutch?

hi, its just so the piston compresses the rope and effectively seizes the engine, this will enable you to remove the clutch without the engine turning over, good luck.

Hi, I'm trying to replace the pull cord on one of these at the moment. Do I need to take the boom arm and clutch drum off to get to the pull cord recoil assembly or is there another way? Thanks for this video.
