Anothet great episode, really grwat work being done by lisa and others like her.
Enjoyed your podcast mate , and you really make a lot of sense , done a couple of wee sentences myself and understand what prison is like , Lisa seems a really nice person , the ego shattering is definitely true , think you need ego shattered people to run these places , it is a complex thing
💯 Andrew.
Great pod cast 👏
Haha brilliant the cortonvale disco 😂
😂
I done a sentence in glenochil and everyone said that it’s the prisoners that run that addiewell
Just finished watching Sean. Lisa comes across very sincere and honest and I think really tried hard in her job role to help prisoners through their sentences. What I did feel though was there was a distinct them and us mentality going on between officers and prisoners in the main just from some of the discussion you had. She was spot on regarding the newspapers putting their own slant on things and regardless of what good the prisoners would do they wouldn’t want to print that. Through the years of you being in prison we faced all sorts of characters within the prison environment and while I could say there were some good officers the majority thought of the prisoners as scum and many thought of us their families in the same light while these people continue to work in these settings there will be very little progress unfortunately but we have to keep trying xx. I remember terry Waite and it was commendable of him to come into the prison bearing in mind what he endured. I actually read a biography of John McCarthy who was a journalist who ended up a hostage and became friends with terry waite and another guy Brian John McCarthy’s then girlfriend fought tirelessly to get him released What they went through was torturous. Xx. Well done again sean. Xx 😘
Cheers mum. ❤️
Also think she's a bit nieve , you need to go to the roots of why people want to escape from they're own head before anything can be resolved
The screws whorunning Addiewell prison now r all scumbags for Tony simpson is a bull shite of a guy sadexo should not be running a dogs Kennels never mind a jail
