I’ve watched these fights over and over. To me Vargas was the smartest fighter Manny had fought up until this time. Jesse had great distance control and he was a great counter puncher. Manny respected him more than I had seen before. Jessie was trying to walk Manny into a right hand. Most of the time Jessie’s counters were hitting air and Manny definitely landed the cleaner shots. Manny is just that much better. Good fight.
Pac was no ordinary, talented champion by hook or by crook fighter. He was a genius. He changed the idiom of boxing so much that it isn't the same anymore.

Pacquiao would have fit right in with the 4 kings in the 80's. I don't think he would be able to go up to Middleweight, but as far as Featherweight, super Featherweight, Lighweight, jr Welterweight, and Welterweight, I think he would have done very well back in those glory days of the lower weight divisions. Pacquiao fought so many legends and defeated them in spectacular ways. He is so tough that I think he could have dominated in any era, even with other killers like Duran, Leonard, and Hearns. Maybe he could have even fought Hagler at a catch weight. Manny has done that before, and destroyed Margarito, one of the biggest Welterweight's of all time, but Hagler was no Margarito, or should I say Margarito was no Hagler. Still, Duran gave Hagler a close, tough fight, and he was a natural Lightweight, so I think Pacquiao could have gave Hagler a great fight as well.

I’ve watched these fights over and over. To me Vargas was the smartest fighter Manny had fought up until this time. Jesse had great distance control and he was a great counter puncher. Manny respected him more than I had seen before. Jessie was trying to walk Manny into a right hand. Most of the time Jessie’s counters were hitting air and Manny definitely landed the cleaner shots. Manny is just that much better. Good fight.
Pac was no ordinary, talented champion by hook or by crook fighter. He was a genius. He changed the idiom of boxing so much that it isn't the same anymore.

Pacquiao would have fit right in with the 4 kings in the 80's. I don't think he would be able to go up to Middleweight, but as far as Featherweight, super Featherweight, Lighweight, jr Welterweight, and Welterweight, I think he would have done very well back in those glory days of the lower weight divisions. Pacquiao fought so many legends and defeated them in spectacular ways. He is so tough that I think he could have dominated in any era, even with other killers like Duran, Leonard, and Hearns. Maybe he could have even fought Hagler at a catch weight. Manny has done that before, and destroyed Margarito, one of the biggest Welterweight's of all time, but Hagler was no Margarito, or should I say Margarito was no Hagler. Still, Duran gave Hagler a close, tough fight, and he was a natural Lightweight, so I think Pacquiao could have gave Hagler a great fight as well.
Bro margarito was just big. He was a nobody without those loaded gloves. Comparing margarito to hagler is such a huge insult. Duran, leonard and hearns would have destroyed pac if they met in the same era.
