I totally agree, BUT... GM is all but out of the "car" business as such (like Ford) and both automakers or should I say vehicle makers, have been getting closer with each passing year, with trucks, SUV's and crossovers being pretty much it. That's the market. GM is in survival mode, with very little margin for error. I'd like to say at the 2:00 mark here, I can see the 1971-''73 Riviera 'boat tail' very clearly here, YEARS before the Riv would go into that body style for real.

True although GM does still have 3 cars in its line up compared to Ford's one.
