Honestly, the M1 chip on the iPad is not being utilised to its full potential. With so much power and efficiency, Apple needs to take advantage of their amazing hardware and really prove why people need an M1 iPad.
5.5 hours battery life is kinda awful. it is almost 50% less than what is a day-long battery benchmark - which is around 10 hours standard. Or I am missing something.
@@PeaceGates I am also getting 4-5hrs max at 100% brightness if I am consuming media (speakers at full volume) WITH the magic keyboard also being there. So far the regular tricks like turning off background refresh etc are absolutely doing nothing for me in terms of improving this. What brightness levels did you use it at for your tests? Also anything else I can do to improve the life?

Touch ID is harder to use than with the old button on the front. Can't really see the better screen resolution or see increase in speed, etc with better processor
I had the mini 6 from launch and was sick of the small size etc so I was going to get the air 5 in blue. But then I remembered that it was also 60HZ, fingerprint scanner and twin speakers, all the things I hated with the mini. So I ended up getting the iPad Pro 11” 512GB and “WOW” what an absolute difference. So smooth, 120HZ is a game changer, Face ID, Quad speakers. Now THIS is an iPad 😊
@@Omendrix the upper models are always going to be good, it's that simple. While one may argue if they are "necessary" they will definitely be super cool to have
While I agree with your statement somewhat, I would also debate the fact that generally although they may be “super cool”, they will usually become outdated five years later, and eventually lose support altogether. If you plan on dwelling within the Apple ecosystem for an extremely long period of time generally it’s not worth the investment considering every two years a new model comes out at the same price with new features that top the previous fancy builds. It’s all a matter of perspective.

And as you perfectly stated both classes of devices would need to be replaced, sometimes it's all about whether we "want" to have a slightly better experience which also differs from person to person. I personally think that it helps future proof the device for atleast another year but I may be very wrong
Hi I have the iPad 5th generation and I don’t know why the battery goes down quite fast and I only got it 1 month ago and I don’t know why it is doing this and my brightness is less than half way and I haven’t got that much stuff downloaded
So it lasts about 8 hours if I am constantly on it but like the battery goes down on it so fast and I haven’t had a iPad since 2019 but it is still good for gaming and got graphics on it and everything

When I’m just using as a note, I can hit around 8 hrs!
