I have been researching common rail fuel systems for a while now. I have concluded if you do not introduced a 2 micron fuel filter in a modern diesel you are a fool. I wasted a lot of time researching filter bases and concluded this Western Diesel base is the best quality one you can buy. The Baldwin is a POS and has been known to stick to the filter. Wish I heard about them a year ago. Thanks Western Diesel.
blue dodge a lot of aftermarket fuel filters are mounted to the engine (including the factory fuel filter). Yes there might be a negligible amount of air introduced, however this is unverified and has been inconsequential in our experience. The added benefit of finer filtration by far outweighs the potential of negligible amounts of air introduced.
Good sales and kit pitch but nice if showed how to install

Do you use this on your truck currently? Does it have any fuel restriction with a stock in tank lift pump?
Thanks,
Chaf
@@chadholder9491 I also want to know this.
What's up that you don't have a dual canister kit - to hold the CAT filter and a water separator (like the Baldwin)?
So does this install after the OEM fuel filter?
what about air in fuel will this introduce more air in fuel by adding filter and by mounting filter to engine vibration

how often do you need to change filter ?
Shouldn't be an issue as long as all seals are tight. Plus the Cummins engines automatically purge the injectors of air before starting
What do you mean "without APPS"??? I've never heard of an '03-up truck not using an APPS...
the later third gens have a electronic pedal vs drive by cable
Accelerator pedal position sensor.
It is the little black Box next to the intake plenum on driver side.underneath the cover is your drive by wire
