I suggest drinking camomile tea 3 times a day, using cbd oil 3 times a day (maybe 3 o 4 drops, depends on the concentration, last daily dose 1 or 2 more drops), 2 hours before sleep magnesium, 2 hours before sleep no screens source lights, phones, etc, because this mess the production of melatonine, SLEEP HYGIENE, meaning doing a ritual before going to be, if you don't see the results right away, stick to it till the rest of your life, habits are the strongest mind improvements ever, pray to good or some higher intelligence, just mentally pass the issue to them stating that you did your thing like the best, and now it is their time to take on this AND believe strongly that god/higher intelligence will take care of that, listen binaural sleep music (you need headphones) one hours before sleep., exercise 1 hour during the day, either cardio, walking, jogging, swimming, just go for it. Wake up and the same time and get exposed to sunlight, do not look straight to the sun, just get exposed at early hours. Don't drink anymore any caffeine/stimulant drink, maybe some decaff in the morning, after that no stimulants drinks at all, no alcohol many hours (5 or 6) before sleep. The journey will be full of learning situations but stick to it with love and you will close this chapter.

Now it even happens when he is awake. Dr's don't know what is causing it. Is there any suggestions that you have to help him.
Is the lack of sleeping related to emotions?, i.e: anxiety, depression, nerves...., because if he hasn't told the whole thing to the doctor maybe they are not focusing on helping the emotional part too, what happens is that if you are facing emotional issues, which btw they are normal and temporary for everyone, this can cause you let's say anxiety, in fact the lack of sleeping can cause you that too, because you are living in fear for the future of your sleep......... maybe taking CBD oil everyday will slow him down and with the help of others supplements slowly but shortly he will be back normal sleeping, AND I always stress this: "sleep hygiene", doesn't matter what happened stick to sleep hygiene, it might not work in couple of days, but you will be on track stronger.
I've heard too that you shouldn't take it every night. I use it a few nights during PMS week when I have a hard time falling and staying asleep and my husband and I take it occasionally for a few nights when things get hectic or we feel super stressed and it helps a lot.
COVID security people point the temp gun at foreheads, it is required to enter some buildings like the YMCA etc... I thought that is not good for the pineal gland, is this true?
Dr, I took 1.5mg. Took 7pm then went sleep 10pm and woke up 12. I didn't get to go back to sleep until 4pm. Is dosage not enough? Yea I feel tired when I wake taking melatonin.
The general recommendation is to take it 20 minutes before bedtime. The primary effect is in inducement of a deeper sleep earlier on in the process. Some people prefer a slow release version which has longer effect.
@@petsnaturetv1690 If you have a bathtub, try a hot bath in epsom salts before bedtime. Epsom salts are high in magnesium. Try to stop eating at least 3 hours before bedtime. If you are not getting daily moderate exercise, consider doing so. A walk after dinner can help encourage the shift into the parasympathetic mode. Sleep hygiene is important. Try to avoid exposure to screens, wifi, and blue light after dinner. Your bedroom should be pitch black and as free of emf as you can manage. If you have a pill cutter, you could try cutting that pill into quarters, and start with 1/4 20 minutes before going to bed. If that doesn't work, try 1/2 pill the next night.
What about passiflora and Chamomile?
Melatonin gives me such wierd dreams
What about melatonin for Alzheimer's, the sundowning symptoms?
I have learned to take a crumb of 1mg. Depending wat I consume. Like wine.. I don't sleep well at all. I used to use a 3 and 5mg. Was too much.
Are melatonin supplement good for chronic asthma? I'm asthmatic and I want to use melatonin but I'm afraid
I didn't have any issues with it and I've had asthma my whole life. It helped shut my brain off at night so I could fall asleep at a decent hour. I had to try 10mg before it worked, but I also have a pain condition.

Hola Dr Jin W.Sung! Un placer conocer su canal, sería tan amable de poner subtitulos en español por favor?
Muchas gracias🙂
De nada. I don't know how to do the Spanish translation.

Yo tampoco sé cómo se hacerlo. Supongo que alguien podría ayudarle. De todas las personas afiliadas a su canal habrá algún voluntario/a que con gusto le ayude... 🙏🌻
Natural Infrared stimulation promotes melatonin as well. That's why looking at camp fires has it's relaxing effects
Thanks for the information doctor. I learned alot. Criminally underrated ! 🎉😊
Have you heard Russel Reiter, University of Texas, discuss high dose melatonin and how there isn't in fact a down regulation of melatonin
interesting, thanks!
I’m extremely stressed anxious and depressed in the morning from 8am-6pm which gives me day time dizziness brain fog fatigue. After 6pm I feel better and more calm and all symptoms start going away. What could be the cause of this. I’m a Cov19 long hauler
I've tried it and didn't go well for me ,nightmares .
My husband takes 4 a night in addition two 7.5 Imovane .
If I take melatonin (1 mg time release) for more than one night in a row, I feel low, like depressed the next day.
I can't seem to figure out my sleep problem. I go to sleep fine, but wake up every couple of hours even with melatonin. II don't stay awake, just wake up and then go back to sleep. I also have night time hot and cold spells.
Reactive hypoglycemia and hormonal fluctuations come to mind.
@@DrJinSung I would agree with the hormonal fluctuations. I'm not familiar with reactive hypoglycemia. Thank you for your feedback. I truly enjoy your content.
I have a brother in law who has had trouble sleeping for a long time. He takes melatonin to help him sleep. At first it helped but then it got to where he couldn't sleep and stayed up later and later. He developed painful muscle jerks all over his body when he laid down to sleep. Now it even happens when he is awake. Dr's don't know what is causing it. Is there any suggestions that you have to help him.
Has he tried Magnesium? Is good for sleeping, potassium is good for muscle issues, he can buy a good one in the vitamins store
He has, they have tried just about everything they could think of.
@@ivermec-tin666 thank you doc. I got 3mg now. I just need to sleep. It's been 4 days now. I'm miserable.
But, waking up after 2 hours wired and tired, honestly, in your shoes, I would try valerian root or catnip tea instead.
Please, don't call me a doc. I am just a guy. I trust that you have quit caffeine.
@@ivermec-tin666 ty will try this
Just saw a video ..melatonin as best antioxidant than glutathione and that melatonin in the mitochondria of cells causing cancer when very low..and cause lowbidy core temperature..please comment ..from dr van Berg,?
I am very curious why you mention chocolate to induce sleep? it has caffeine in it. If I eat chocolate after 2pm I can't fall asleep that night until very very late. I am not drinking regular coffee either so I know for sure that chocolate affects my sleep patern
good point
Hi doctor I heard the dosage should not exceed .05mg half milligram if you take 1mg on a long term will effect your body and you can't sleep
I am unaware of anyone recommending that melatonin be taken long term in any dosage. The proper dosage is highly individual.
0.05mg is not a half a milligram BTW... It is 50 micrograms. 0.5 mg is a half a milligram (500 μg)
I do a lot of exercises and after that I feel that my body takes too long to shut off I have tried magnesium but no joy where can I find melatonin my other siblings has the same problem we all cannot sleep well it looks like it runs in the family in south Africa you cannot find melatonin can I order this product from somewhere over seas maybe I have used it years ago but it is not available in south Africa please can you assist thank you
Is it safe long term use?
You didn't discuss how melatonin is made in the gut at 400 times or greater than the pineal gland production and excretion and why that is. You didn't mention how melatonin and its receptors are produced throughout the body and why that is. Most importantly, you failed to mention how melatonin is produced in every mitochondria in the body and why! You didn't mention how melatonin production declines sharply with age and you did not mention the important relationship between SCFAs and melatonin in the gut!
Why aren't you making your own videos if you're so knowledgeable? Then other asshats could critique your every statement!
Very interesting. Sounds like a more thorough advanced video should be done. Or if someone really wanted to know all this they can actually read a BOOK! There's something called a "library" and you can actually get books all about melatonin.
I need 20-30 mg before it helps me sleep.
I am vegan. Will soymilk work the same?
No it will not. Just eat the other plant foods on the list.
Melatonin is produced by the body itself. When you take it orally, won’t the body get lazy and produce less melatonin by itself?
I take 10 mg at night
