    Thankyiu so much for the huld part, I was getting so frustrated with it because the instructions require you to levitate it into place. The instructions are unclear. I did what you did just slowed the video down and I was good. You deserve the views and likes

    Debating between this one and the $299 rerackable bells of steel 3.0. Open Trap bar to build my legs since I have 2 buldgig disk in lower back.

    A year later how is it holding up?

      Mine is doing great! Not bending and no loose bolts like a few of the complaints I heard.

    I cant decide if i would like the stand part hitting the ground before the weights

    • @BugmanVlogs
      @BugmanVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve used both IMO the stand is worth it. You only lose about 2” over the weights hitting unless you stack it with small diameter weights. The upside that sells me is ease of loading and unloading weights over holding each in opposite hands and juggling weights on and then it rolling around.

      I made a small platform 2 inches high to make up the difference of the slight elevation of the plates.

    The picture at 9 minutes in does not seem to show the rubber spacers put on the bars to increase the distance between your hands and the plates. Did your unit come with the rubber spacers? They seem like a good idea. Thanks.

    • @BugmanVlogs
      @BugmanVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they were in the box and I put them on at a later point. Still room without them for good hand space but they actually stop the weights from rattling against bar under hand tube

    👍 nice job. Just bought one for my gym. Saw a few other people say the bolts are coming undone after heavy lifting? Thanks for reviewing.

    • @BugmanVlogs
      @BugmanVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for commenting. No problems with bolts. Mine are nylon insert style nuts. I couldn’t see why they would loosen unless the nut is facing weight side (and that is backwards of directions). Then there might be repeated torquing on nylon insert to cause it to loosen. I myself didn’t like bolt ends toward me in center but after use I know now I’ll never get hit by one.

      If the bolts come loose use some loctite from the auto store or wally world

    How much 45s plates can be on each side?

    • @BugmanVlogs
      @BugmanVlogs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I’ve had 3-45’s each side and there was a little flex but very minimal. I think there is room to hold 6-7 plates each side but I’m not sure how well it would take it. I would do a test but 540 lbs is past my max, lol

    So would you say this design works as well for doing squats as the other trap bars out there... i see its under 100 shipped... i truly believe at 63 this would be best way to train my quads...much safer then normal squats yet should be every bit as affective.. i am 6' and only go to parallel ... i could always add a platform in center if needed... PS what is this bars total weight? thanks for sharing

    • @BugmanVlogs
      @BugmanVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the design is great. I could use a center platform to get more parallel but at my age my knees could pay a price for it and I’m pretty happy with my range. The bar weighs about 25lbs. I’ll never do regular squats or dead lifts again. This is the best thing I’ve found.

      @@S37-s6b unfortunately I don’t have a good recommendation. Amazon is about the best bet if you have Prime. With it you can get plates for about $1 per pound and free shipping. I went used and grabbed mine through Facebook marketplace from a couple different people to get enough for all my equipment. Even used $.50 per pound is still the cheapest I found.
