It's unbelievable that she's not that popular in the Netherlands where she comes, but I think that is going to change after this show! I guess people have heard now what kind of talent they have been to in their homeland... It's great that she's going there with Nightwish in 2020 for the very first time. Yet she is the most best selling musical artist in Netherlands, that's a bit funny too.
She has been in the netherlands with nightwish twice before...great concerts, last year in ziggodome for 20.000....so she is not completely unknown....

So I was falling off my chair when I saw that they asked those singers for this program. Back in the day the situation was a whole lot different, even Sepultura hit the Dutch top 40, but the commercial radio stations went bigger, and slowly we went to this situation. Another thing is the so called talentshows like 'the voice' or 'idols', the winner gets a contract, and since the bosses of that TV-station owns a few radiostations too, so guess who is getting the airplay or can promote their stuff on TV.

Classically trained singers can sing in multiple languages because they study diction, and the rules of pronunciation for multiple languages. You don’t need to know what the words mean to sing them. I was in choirs for years and 90% of our music was foreign language.
