Really impressed by the video from a videography and storytelling perspective, great work. So many small details done so well, and the timing of all the shots felt really smooth and well done
You literally changed my life man. For about 40 minutes everyday, I get to watch my favorite TH-camr play my favorite game. You really don’t know the impact you have on people. I could go on and on but it wouldn’t do it justice. Thanks man. Will always be following and rooting you on
Please go show Gio (twitter.com/the_one_gio) some love/appreciation - he put in countless hours and months to make this video happen and it really shows. Give him some support so we can see more videos like this in the future!
Incredibly interesting to learn about the beginnings of VGC. Seeing this documentary made me realize that what you've achieved is already worth more than a World Champ title :)
Gio - You did an incredible job with this video. I've watched it 3-4 times now, and I've been genuinely moved every single time. Thank you for creating this video. Aaron - I'm a dad, near 10 years older, and I originally got into pokemon (again) after my son told me he wanted to be a world champion. I watched your content, learning everything I could and discovered a competitive fire for it as well. Speaking about your parents' support and willingness to do whatever it took to help...I can't claim just tears. I literally cried. You're an amazing person with amazing family, and I'm so glad I took the time to get to know you and the pokemon community. My family and I thank you for your impactful videos and knowledge.
When I watched it on Wolfe's channel, I had major gossebumps! (I even noticed some tears rolling here and there) You were one of the people that got me into competitive and the first player I ever rooted for in a tournament! Your story and your path are so inspirational and really deserved. It made me realize just how many years have passed since and what a beautiful journey it has been for me! I was a Pokemon fan since day 1 and learning about the competitive scene just made all my childhood dreams come true. I hope to find the time to actually compete tho, in all those years I was never able to make it to any event. And then Covid came lol But I already met a lot of great people thanks to all that and some became really good friends. Keep going Aaron, and THANK YOU
What sets you apart from other TH-camrs of the same genre, is your humility during decision making and reviews, as well as your transparency in showcasing the matches (including articulating your thought process). Your videos are clean and there's some degree of ASMR while watching you battle.
Huge thanks from China here! It’s very hard to say how much exactly I’ve got from your videos, but they are my top choice whenever I feel tired/lack of motivation/bored/etc. I don’t know how to describe the feelings. I’ve followed many content creators, and they are all very amazing ones, but only yours seem to be part of my life. From your videos I got to know how enthusiastic a person can be and that encourages me through all these days. Thanks again and see you in your next video!
I think a lot of us in the VGC community have been waiting for a documentary-style video about VGC to be created, and it's great to see it finally happen. Although I don't play anymore, I started playing VGC back in 2014 after watching your battles from 2013 Worlds, and following your Twitter account shortly after. Big thanks to you and Gio for sharing a story like this :)
The video was really informative for me when I watched it, as a relatively new viewer for your VGC content. It did such a good job of showing how you got here, how much you've achieved and just a general heartwarming backstory! *Kudos to every accomplishment you've made Aaron* ♡
I think you're one of the best personalities in the game. It's so refreshing to see how humble and how much of a good sport you are. The part about your dad driving you was really touching.
Great Video Aaron! I'm more of a newer fan, but it was still very exciting to watch. I think you're underrating your math capabilities at 6:33 lol. You are very inspiring to me, and good luck at Stanford this fall! Also thanks to Gio for making the wideo and wolfey for posting it.
Aaron you are such a force for good. Absolute chills even from the opening moments of the video. I’ve enjoyed watching you for years now almost every day and seeing you get even some fraction of the recognition you deserve makes me so happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you’ve given to us. I’ll never stop being proud and in awe of you.
Aaron, you radiate so much light and joy…and we need more of that in the world :) Love watching your channel and keep on being you, much love from the UK!
I watched the original video on Wolfe's channel before your reaction came out and couldn't stop smiling. It was so cool to listen to how much Pokemon has impacted your life and the friends you've made along the way but watching your reaction added another layer to this amazing documentary and I've just been smiling for about an hour now. The context you gave made the video so much more wholesome to me and if I'm honest its probably now my favorite video on youtube tied with the Original. I've been watching you since my freshman year in highschool in 2019 and ever since, I've been into competitive pokemon. Your videos make VGC so interesting to watch and genuinely make me smile because of how well you showcase the complexity of pokemon and how you can get super creative with team building. So thanks for getting me into competitive team building because I've finally been able to defeat my cousin who always dominated our battles and I now have another outlet for my stress. You're so awesome and probably one of my biggest inspirations, if ever I see you compete for world champ I'll be sure to be cheering you on. I also wanted to take a moment to complement Gio, dude your work with this video was incredible I felt so emotional while watching the credits and hearing Aaron's speech, I felt connected to Aaron and it gave his words so much more gravity. I was so impressed and you've convinced me that the 23 minutes I spent watching your video that friday was the most enjoyable 23 minutes I had spent that night. Thank you guys for bringing such amazing and carefully composed content for everyone to see, it genuinely brightens up my mood when I watch your videos Aaron and Gio, I'll be sure to keep up with your work as well. Its so good!
I identify so much with your story (cried watching it twice already lol). Pokémon made who I am, the friends I have met through the game, and all the things it taught me ever since I started playing in 2009. I joined competitive pokémon in 2014 and you have always been an inspiration, ingame and in life too. You're amazing, and I will be forever grateful for everything. Thank you so much!
You've got some really great friends Aaron, pulling this video together is a testament to the relationships you've built through this game. Personally, I really enjoy your content and watching this condensed telling of your story has been really heartwarming
Back in September of 2020, Wolfey got me into the game of Pokemon. I was a HUGE pokemon fan turned casual player starting my VGC journey. Wolfey connected me to you. Your videos turned me into a competitive player, not just casual. Within a few months, I finished top 200 on the ladder, and won some grassroots tournaments. I was also featured in one of your videos in Road to Ranked and it was such a tremendous honor to go from watching your videos, learning and developing my skill set, to be playing against you. Now, I can share the same joy and passion with my 5 year old son. Thanks a lot Aaron for everything you do for the Pokemon community!
After seeing your commentary on the official pokemon channel, i was delighted to learn you had your own channel here and have gotten so many hours of enjoyment watching you play and explain the game. The steady problem solving and respect you show to yourself and your opponents is a little 40 minute oasis for me and I'm grateful you put in the effort to share! Makes me so happy to see others appreciating what you do, and very heartwarming to see more of your journey here and the people who have accompanied you.
Hello Aaron, what an amazing video, and what an amazing journey. I've been following you for 5/6years from France, and I have to say that, in a way, you became part of my life and own accomplishments (graduation from university, obtaining my "teaching license", finishing my phd in literature...). And whilst they are not pokemon-related events, I always think that I found comfort, motivation, and somehow some personal psychological insights when I was watching you. The part of you that always impressed me, and still does, is your ability to make logical sense out of any games you play and moves you make : that clear spirit of yours and sense of causality and prospection are really valuable to me, because it genuiely echoes to my own work (teacher) insofar as you are very pedagogical in the way you explain things. Anyway, thanks a lot for still continuing to do what you do ; I always see you and the other poketubers I love as old friends whom I enjoy spending time with. See you around :)
I almost cried watching the original video lol. This is a bit lengthy so I'll definitely be reserving this for its own special time block :) Thanks for all that you do Aaron!
I'm a smogon player now, but when I was a kid, to even see how complex and strategic Pokemon could be through your road to ranked series back in 2015, I was completely in awe. I signed up for Play! Pokemon soon after and actually got my first taste of VGC (got swept my first regionals). Your videos, along with getting into competitive Pokemon, helped me a lot during a time in my life where I was just a shy kid. It allowed me to open up, it helped me own my interests rather than feeling embarrassed. In university I'm not afraid to tell people I play competitive Pokemon when they ask about some of my interests. Thank you for the years of dedication to the community; your casting is always a comfort whenever I watch VGC streams. Thank you.
Been having a rough time and the joy and happiness that you bring in the video and you experience has been a real pick me up. Thanks a bunch for sharing!
Every time I watch you talk about your VGC journey, I wish I started playing earlier. Then again, I couldn't travel to events until 2016 due to previous health issues. When official events finally return next month, I am gonna cherish every single moment of them, as I'll never take those events for granted (especially after the last two years)
Thanks for sharing this. You’re my favourite Pokémon content creator so it was really cool seeing something a little more on the personal side of things.
You are one of the biggest contributors towards my learning and motivation to play competitive Pokemon! I can't tell you how grateful I am for your content, and I always enjoy listening to you commentate matches! I'm going to my first regional in March and I would never have gotten as far as I have now if not for you and your content!
Thank you for everything, Aaron. Even though I don't play VGC anymore, I will never ever forget the impact you have had on my life. Thank you for the coaching sessions and all the enjoyment you have brought to me :) - Josh AKA "Lere"
Yooo this is the most wholesome video i've ever watched. You really change lives man, i'm always looking forward for the daily updates. Wish you the best and hope you keep up with the content
Love you man! I couldn't climb past the 1300 ladder on showdown until I started watching your videos. You are so articulate and concise even while playing Pokemon! Hoping you get better success rates on your will-o-wisps!!!
I already watched the original video posted on Wolfey's channel and then re-watching it now with Aaron's commentary makes it more amazing! I think Aaron Zheng is really born to be a motivator. I'm very touched on how he supports his brother in playing pokemon competitively and now he's motivating so many other pokemon trainers now. I got teary-eyed again when Aaron said that pokemon taught him to accept defeat and victory with an open mind. So much wisdom from him. I prayed that he will be blessed more and continue inspiring others. I will never get tired of appreciating this man. Thank you so much!
This video and the competitive scene of Pokemon needs more attention than it gets for how big the company is. This is probably the most wholesome video about video games I've ever watched. Watching Wolfe's and your videos got me addicted to competitive Pokemon. I definitely think it's something I'll never regret getting into and I wish I had more skill and support at a younger age for playing. Having a story like this and competing in live events is really my current dream. But honestly I don't think I'm close to as good enough as I need to be to do so haha. I don't feel bad about it, but should always dream big! Thank you for sharing your life story man, it's truly inspirational.
Honestly Aaron I want to thank you. There have been plenty of games that I look at and I think “maybe I’ll try competitive” and it always feels so overwhelming. In pokemons case I wouldn’t know which pokemons are good and what moves to run on it. With there being 900 Pokémon it feels so overwhelming with how many choices there are. You and Wolfey have both made competitive Pokémon super accessible and easy to understand which I really appreciate. I’ll never be world champion and I prob will never even be tournament level, but Im glad that I’m at least able to have some grasp on competitive Pokémon and have some fun playing with rental teams in ranked with some idea of how to play them. So thank you :)
When I'm active on SwSh VGC, I like watching your content because it's so chill to watch. It's fun, yet educational, without overreacting and with great sportsmanship. You deserve a documentary!
It seems that a lot of people already said similar things but you got me into playing VGC and after a year last season I got #689 in the world and beat the #5 and #50 players in the process! not super impressive for your standard, but for me it was pretty crazy! You've inspired me and countless others and by extension I've gotten some of my friends into it that had no interest in it previously. Not only that, you've helped me with my insomnia, if I can't sleep I'll throw on a r2r playlist and sleep great! No shade I just find you very calming to listen to. I've also started streaming VGC and how you're able to explain yourself clearly and still think things thru (and not get tilted when things go awry) is truly admirable. Looking forward to more great content in the future, I'll be here.
Yo Aaron, big thank you to everything you have done for the community. Youre videos got me into VGC in 2015 which is so incredibly long ago already. I traveled to awesome cities, made awesome friends, had incredible hights winning Bremen Regionals and the biggest defeats, missing worlds travel award that same year by two spots. I havent played for two years, but competed in Liverpool last weekend and it felt amazing again. You can get the Man out the Pokemon but you can never get Pokemon out of the Man. See you at worlds!
Your content is the best competitive content that I've found on the web. I love your channel, and am astounded by the pace at which you deliver content. Every day I'm so excited to see what new teams you'll feature and how that might spark ideas in me to try something new myself!
Thank you for being a mentor to me. 2 years ago when the pandemic hit I was looking for something new to get into so I decided to dive into competitive pokemon to see the other half of pokemon outside of the single player experience. Be for that, I thought sword and shield would be my last pokemon experience because it felt old to me. Competitive battling added new life and longevity in reigniting my love for pokemon and when I was looking up explanation videos, your breakdowns and explanations in your own battles really helped me advance. Would always wait for you "analysis videos/predictions" when a format would be announced. Appreciate all you do for the pokemon community and your positivity. keep up the good work!!
You got me into Competitive pokemon, I've learned just about everything I know from you! I played casually for years up until about a year ago, and I finally hit masterball for the first time last season thanks to you. You're a brilliant content creator, and an even better person. Thanks so much :)
Hey Aron I just wanted to say congrats on being a wonderful man in a wonderful family, your path is encouraging to others future world champions (a bit to late for me, being 30 and a dad myself) I love watching your videos, the way you think, you try to predict, you play in general, the way you see a bad move as a way to get better... You can be proud of yourself, and in the end, kudos to you, for keeping fighting for your dreams!! Love you man!!
i really enjoyed the original video and im glad you can give more context!! the story is super inspirational and im glad it’s getting told in such a beautiful way
Aaron, thank you for sharing your amazing story! It’s been one the most inspirational story I have come across. When I was still new to VGC, a friend of mine recommended your channel and said Aaron is like Bloomberg for competitive Pokémon, where you can have a taste of how the current meta game environment was like, and get some up-to-date information about VGC. So I started watching. As I watch more and more, not only did I have a deeper understanding about VGC, but you have always reminded me some of the important values that we should keep in our hearts - try our best, don’t give up easily, and enjoy each and every game. Your reflections after the match-up are so valuable - what can be done to improve, be positive and do better next time. Will keep rooting for you, Aaron! Wish you every success and hope that your passion and dedication for Pokémon will always be there!
been watching a long time (I remember when the grad speech was posted originally, its a really touching vid that's still in my all time fave vids), and even though i fell off playing myself (no local events where I live + can't drive), i still enjoy binging your content every few months to catch up on the meta. my one regret is when i went to worlds in 2015, I couldn't say hi. you're an icon to the community, and here's hoping you get your well deserved world champ title someday.
Just watched it on wolfeys channel, and came here right away You were my inspiration and knowledge source, during my attempt at competing throughout oras and early s&m era. Still watching till today, and getting my daughter into pokemon, and watching you play with me Never stop!
Thank you Aaron 'Cybertron' Zheng. I watch your video's for almost 2 years now. And I genuinely can't wait for my morning to start with one of your video's. My absolute favourite youtuber in such a short time. Mainly because you seem like a nice, respectful person with a beautiful passion. The passion for Pokémon shows in you. It makes watching you commentating absolutely wonderful. My first Pokémon game was Yellow in 1999. I've played Pokémon non-stop till about 2009. After that, I got to busy with work, a girlfriend and school. But I never parted with Pokémon. Though I have not played every single game and missed a few generations. I've always looked into the new Pokémon that came every year. Since Covid-19, I am watching you. And it sparked a long lost love for the Pokémon scene in me. It gives me a lot of joy to see more people so invested in Pokémon like I did. My goal when I am financially there; is to buy a Switch, play the new games, and learn from all your educational video's to be the very best. And hopefully meet you in person someday and battle you. That looks like a fun challenge to me. Have a nice day! And I wish you the best!
Duude. This video is incredible. Watching your story unfold is amazing. I didn't start following VGC until 2017 but you and Wolfey are like the bread and butter of what made me enjoy the format as much as I do. I can only hope that someday I have an opportunity to participate in events myself and meet so many incredible people along the way. Maybe even meet a legend such as yourself.
Back in March of 2020, when the pandemic hit my area hard, I was unable to hang out with friends or see family frequently so I started looking for something to do and decided to play on the ranked doubles ladder (previously only played singles). I was doing kind of meh and through a series of searches, found this channel! So thank you Aaron for getting me into competitive Pokemon. I will never become a world champion or even a regional champion, but you definitely had a positive impact on my life during that crazy time.
Finally got around to watching this. I really loved your added commentary and insight throughout the documentary. To be honest, I don't really know what I'm working towards and I often wonder if I'll find something that really truly brings me joy like Pokemon does for you. Watching this, your story motivates me to keep searching. Maybe it will be Pokemon for me as well, or maybe not. Guess I'll just have to see. I've only been watching the channel on and off for less than a year, but really thank you so much. Of course Gio deserves huge credit for putting together this phenomenal video, but I think your extra insight makes this video even more special. You have a powerful story. I'm definitely not crying even a little bit...
Wow I felt super old watching that video due to the fact that I've been watching you since first year of high school until now as an adult. Just wild to see the evolution (no pun intended). Yeah it's great to compete at worlds, make it to finals, or have trophies, but to see how you've contributed to cultivating a global community through accessible and fun videos is truly wonderful. Shout out to you and to everyone else!
This was a great documentary, i remember slowly getting into competitive in Gen 6 and started watching you to learn how Pokémon ACTUALLY works, i never understood much at the beginning but it lead to a lot of research about how certain abilities, natures, IVs and EVs etc worked. Then when Sword and Shield came out i was HOOKED on your videos and i began to actually commit to grind the ladder a lot more than before, and even competing in live competitions where i actually got enough points to advance further into Players cup with around high 1600s to low 1700s, but ultimately me being me, i ofc ended up not having my Nintendo and Pokémon account connected, so i didn't end up moving on ofc LOL but that's besides the point. Your videos have always been a great impact on me and many other people, thanks Aaron.
The ending speech brought a few drops of tears in my eyes! You have no idea Aaron how badly I look forward to your videos everyday here in India. I've shared your content with so many of my friends who love pokemon and from all of us I just wanna say, thanks for making our days better with your content! Keep up the good work 👏 love from India ❣
I somehow stumbled onto your channel right when you started making videos. I had no context. I just wanted to watch good Pokemon battles. Still here all these years later; its been really cool growing up along side you. Thank you, as always, for the content.
Congrats, Aaron, I still suck in VGC but I love watching your videos. Watching you winning even when you are in disadvantage. You deserve love, much love. Cheers from Mexico!❤❤
My first pokemon game was the red one, i was 7 when it came out and I hadn't played since then until I got shield... this video is so cool! My son and i have been enjoying your series 12 and 13 videos. Stay positive man. I love the good vibes!!!
You are forever the man! You have provided us with so much timeless content and knowledge over the years, and we are all eternally grateful. Keep up the great work man we all appreciate it!
I have watched your videos since x and y and I can honestly say from everyone here thank you! The amount of work and effort you have put into making videos for so long just brings us viewers pure bliss. I think there's one aspect that needs to be said in this video and other videos I've seen that are similar. Being this good and humble at Pokemon or life in general is a gift and you sir were born to be an astounding Pokemon player. I hope to meet you irl and just sit down and talk to you one day and explain how your videos and content have helped me see the brighter side of competitive Pokemon and in life. I hope to one day be good enough to make VGC and TCG content like yourself!! Keep doing what your doing because it has a butterfly effect that helps many other's!
This video was masterfully put together. I had a similar reaction to you in thinking a team of 10-15 people must have made this, it's quite shocking to hear it was mostly one person with some help from friends along the way. Amazing! Thank you for making such awesome Pokemon content! I love following along with your train of thought and comparing how I would have played a turn compared to you, and I always learn from each video! I don't even play as much as I used to, but your videos are so entertaining to watch regardless! I look forward to watching each new upload! Thanks again!
You are such an amazing player and amazing content creator, when ppl tell me pokemon is only for kids I always think of your videos, how professional and respectful you make this game looks, you are the best TH-camr!
Such a great insight of your life, I’m sure I speak for many, thank you for your content, especially over the lockdowns the past 2 years, you’ve kept many of us sane and got a lot of people including myself in challenging myself to get on the ranked ladder and improve.
Damn, this was so cool, after watching it even though Aaron doesn't compete as much already, but really would love to see the man finally get a champion at worlds.
Oh man this video hits really hard. I've been watching you for a long time, and I remember seeing some of these moments from your channel or pokemon channel.. Keep being awesome Aaron!
I really want to thank you for everything you do. Whenever I feel down or literally just want to chill, I watch your videos and enjoy them a lot. You are an amazing player and person. Please do a video analyzing your loss against Ryosuke! :)
I just watched the documentary on Wolfe's channel yesterday and watching this today. Your journey is amazing Aaron! I am also going to Stanford to attend graduate school this fall. I hope to see you on campus!
You've made such a huge impact on so many people with your positivity and educational content, it's amazing to see it materialize in this video project and Gio is truly talented. It may be cliche but I'm trying to be like you when I grow up 😂I relate to you so much with a lot of what I'm going through with my parents and extracurriculars so much so that your videos are actually how I convinced my parents to let me buy sword and shield a couple years back. You're truly deserving of all of the acknowledgement and accolades that come your way and continue to come your way, Much love and I'm proud to call myself a Cybertron Fan 😄❤
During the first wave of the pandemic, here in the UK we were under strict stay at home orders. We couldn’t leave our house without good reason. My son lives in another country so I couldn’t even see him. I needed to find something to do whilst stuck at home to keep me occupied. Your channel gave me that. You inspired me to start playing VGC during this time. I did. I reached 13 on the ladder. I then had the honour of playing you in one of the online events they hosted. Your channel and you as a person helped keep the mental lights on whilst everything else in the world was trying to turn them off. Thank you, Arron.
I've been watching since the beginning of 2015. I used to be a singles player back in the day, and I think you did a colab with Pokeaim, which introduced me to you (and VGC as a whole). I've been consistently watching since then, and I've switched fully to VGC. You're such an inspiration, taking every loss so well, and talking through each decision you and your opponent make. Just know that you inspire so many people to join this scene and work as hard as they can to improve their skill and mentality.
i started to play VGC better when I started watching you and Wolfe play during the start of this pandemic. The amount of times that I've started talking to myself just like how both of you talk to yourself during your videos have really helped me become better in VGC. Even though there were times I didn't play/practice, just watching your videos made me subconsciously take your mannerisms and made me less reckless and smarter in picking which mons to bring and strategizing on how to play the game. I found my 3DS the other day and I had some leftover Battle Replays from Pokemon SM and oh boy, I was a BAD player that time. Just seeing how much I've improve through your videos (and to not get tilted midgame through stupid strats or RNG), just says how much you have influenced how I came to be. Even if I wasn't playing, I would play one of your Road to Ranked series in the background while I'm either doing schoolwork or drawing. Honestly, I was just happy in watching your videos and getting a lot of insight while you commentate as you go through the battles. There may not be Pokemon competitions in our country but I can say that I may have a chance to climb up thanks to you. Once again, thank you
My headcanon now is Wolfey has been asking for his audience to subscribe quite a lot recently because he wants as much exposure for when this documentary drops and that's super awesome.
That was a beautiful video man.. I've seen videos of yours since 2018, but since last year, I'm watching all your RTR videos religiously.. only thing I gotta tell you, is that you have to come to Rio de Janeiro one day, it's a lot better than São Paulo 😂😂.. congrats for your whole career
Watching your reaction to the video put a ol' big smile in my face, thank you for letting me tell your story. Can't wait to tell more stories!
Really impressed by the video from a videography and storytelling perspective, great work. So many small details done so well, and the timing of all the shots felt really smooth and well done
You and your team did incredible with this video man. What a joy to watch and such great talent you have.
You literally changed my life man. For about 40 minutes everyday, I get to watch my favorite TH-camr play my favorite game. You really don’t know the impact you have on people. I could go on and on but it wouldn’t do it justice. Thanks man. Will always be following and rooting you on
Thanks so much for your comment David, it genuinely means the world to me
W fan
Crazy to think that in an alternate universe there’s Aaron Megatron Zheng
And then Covid came lol
But I already met a lot of great people thanks to all that and some became really good friends.
I love this so much. I have watched you for 7-8 years and i'm wholeheartedly such a fan of you Aaron.
I watched all the players cups and you are definitely my favorite commentator.
If you could go back to that speech, would you have changed your first line to "Hey guys"
Yes 😂
I wish you luck on continuing your Pokemon Journey Aaron!
Yo Aaron,
big thank you to everything you have done for the community.
Crazy how I've been watching your videos for almost 2 years straight. I really enjoy this. Congrats man
Your content is the best competitive content that I've found on the web. I love your channel, and am astounded by the pace at which you deliver content. Every day I'm so excited to see what new teams you'll feature and how that might spark ideas in me to try something new myself!
Amazing to see ur journey!!
Congrats Aaron, you deserve it, and kudos for Gio's as well, amazing work!
That's the most wholesome video I've seen in a while!
Well done to Gio for doing such an amazing job sharing your story!
been watching a long time (I remember when the grad speech was posted originally, its a really touching vid that's still in my all time fave vids), and even though i fell off playing myself (no local events where I live + can't drive), i still enjoy binging your content every few months to catch up on the meta. my one regret is when i went to worlds in 2015, I couldn't say hi. you're an icon to the community, and here's hoping you get your well deserved world champ title someday.
I loved tis video so much! I had already seen your speech you held a couple years back and it was so nice to see it implemented here!
Omg! Wasn’t expecting a reaction video! Let’s go!
Just watched it on wolfeys channel, and came here right away
You were my inspiration and knowledge source, during my attempt at competing throughout oras and early s&m era. Still watching till today, and getting my daughter into pokemon, and watching you play with me
Never stop!
I am 25 and still enjoy watching a random dude play pokémon. Perfect way to relax after work. Thanks for the consistent uploads!
what a masterpiece. your reaction makes it even better
It has been a while since I've seen such a cool video, thank you for all your hard work Aaron and thanks to Gio and Wolfey too!
Wow. Really, just wow. I’m a new subscriber and this makes me happy to be your fan.
This is amazing Aaron! Really cool to see how it all began. The question on everybody's mind, however:
who is the guy behind the horse mask? 🐎
That will remain a mystery for now... maybe another day 🤫
You are such an amazing player and amazing content creator, when ppl tell me pokemon is only for kids I always think of your videos, how professional and respectful you make this game looks, you are the best TH-camr!
Keep being awesome Aaron!
i saw this on wolfey channel the other day and i wonder how aaron will react. This is what i waiting for!
Congrats Aaron! Not only for your career but also for having friends that have created such an amazing video!
So amazing. What a great video. Thanks for everything you've given the game Aaron
Wow, amazing! I'm sure we'll bump into each other at some point. Congrats on your acceptance =)

“Wolfey has had such a crazy glow up.. oof!”
Lmaooo that’s the NYC in you brother
I've been watching since the beginning of 2015. I used to be a singles player back in the day, and I think you did a colab with Pokeaim, which introduced me to you (and VGC as a whole). I've been consistently watching since then, and I've switched fully to VGC. You're such an inspiration, taking every loss so well, and talking through each decision you and your opponent make. Just know that you inspire so many people to join this scene and work as hard as they can to improve their skill and mentality.
I litteraly had to cry when watching the scene where your flight got cancelled and your dad drove you to the tournament.
Congrats on Stanford! Loved their "We choose you" reply.
Watched it on wolfes channel and now here again. Such a wholesome video!
I actually cried at this 😂😂 great video and honestly I enjoy your content so much. I will always continue to root for you ❤️❤️
Congrats on your success. Wish the scene was bigger. Fluctuate from poke go PVP and sword/ shield switch. Love em both.
i started to play VGC better when I started watching you and Wolfe play during the start of this pandemic. Once again, thank you
I was waiting for it
My headcanon now is Wolfey has been asking for his audience to subscribe quite a lot recently because he wants as much exposure for when this documentary drops and that's super awesome.
Thanks for all you do
It's always crazy how something so simple like a game can impact so many lives.
i love this video 😭🥺
LET'S GO AARON ZHENG
World Champion of Wholesomeness and Inspiration
Wow this is so inspiring dude 💛💛💛
The VGC community is so lucky to have such good role models for new and young players. Aaron is a legend!
